Wait what's wrong with saying "no"? I've done it several times! What have I done!?   :-S

There's nothing wrong with it, it's just that kids hear "no" so much that starts to lose its effect. So it's suggested that instead of saying "no" you tell them what you want them to do, so you say "stop" or "food goes in your mouth" (for examples).

    @KMRR86‌

Was the old fence on your property at all?
If it was on the property line or on your property they should not have removed it without your agreement.

Either way no way in hell would I pay them a cent after the fact.

Oh yes, it was a fence on the property line therefore owned by both of us. Technically speaking he violated the "neighbor law" in BC and I don't have to pay him anything. I'm even less inclined to pay since I'm pretty sure he bought the most expensive fence panels they make. Run of the mill.panels are about $60 and these things are $100 each. Neighbour expects us to pay him $300 and it's just not going to happen.
  • I had my sweet baby boy asleep cuddling with me and dh decides we must do antibiotics before big brother is sleeping not at the first wakeup. So I had to rouse my dead tired soundly sleeping baby and listen to him scream and writhe as medicine got shot down his throat. And now resuming bedtime routine...part two.

  • @livvyx currently watching house port too =P~

  • Port Lol I guess I don't type porn enough

  • Thanks for all the kind words ladies. It's amazing how in a day their community has already raised over 10k to help out the family. His death is so incredibly unfair. :(
  • @simone711‌ Ugh, you have no idea. We were supposed to move last year but my lease ended the 4 days after my due date. Moving wasn't an option.

@Audrey1787‌ The apartment is actually pretty big compared to most. The price per square foot is significantly lower than most in the area and I want to stay on this side of town. We should be upgrading to a 3 bed/ 2 bath. Thanks for the well wishes. We could use the luck lol

Oh, and we can fit a sleigh queen sized bed, Jae's abnormally large crib, a dresser, a tall dresser thing, nightstand & still have a good chunk of space left. Still sucks though. I want more living space.

  • @somerandomchick, 42 weeks and a day just sounds awful.  You're a champ.

My mother was pregnant for 42 weeks and 6 days with me and never lets me forget it.  I was all set to go WAYYYYY past my due date, but unfortunately due to GD I was induced and Tess was born at 39 weeks and 2 days.

  • @somerandomchick Ok - you are the true hero @ 42 weeks + 1!

  • I am a little sad that being induced, I didn't have that exciting 'OMG I'm going into labor!' No frantic drive to the hospital while my contractions make the (extremely short, like .5 mile) drive to the hospital horrible. I feel like I 'missed' that part of pregnancy/birth. That's really not a big deal though and I don't think about it often
I know.  My husband and I both feel a little wistful about no "OMG I'm going into labor" moment.

But in the grand scheme of things, its really not a big deal.

@sandraynic - I haven't heard anything and it's making me CRAZY! I am trying not to worry but it's hard not to take the subway in to the hospital and make sure everything is ok. She headed there around 7pm last night, and the doctor who delivered L was on call (she goes to the same practice of 4 doctors that I do). That's the last I heard!!  :-SS

  • Even after 20 hours in active labor we didn't have the frantic drive to the hospital either, we even took a taxi because we don't have a car... labor is taken less seriously here so they make you go to the hospital when you are ready, not before. If you water breaks, you can stay at home 24 hours before been checked if there are no contractions. And after that, a midwife will come to your house and see, if you are safe, you can stay home some more.

My mom and MIL hated that, but I actually loved it, my midwives always made me feel very safe so I didn't have any reason to be nervous on the delivery day ;) I recommend 100% having a baby in Holland hehe
