  • I am secretly hoping I go into labor after my pedicure next Friday. (I'll be 36wks) Reflexology FTW.

And if I don't... I'm getting another one two weeks later and hoping for the same thing.
    That's odd. Why?

That's a strange thing to hope. 36 weeks is close but still not term, there could be complications if you deliver that early

The thought of Kim and Kanye having more kids makes me want to vomit.

That's not so much a confession as an acknowledgement of what every other sane person in the world thinks.
The confession part is probably that i came to this when i was surfing People.com (when i am totally supposed to be working, lol).
I saw a headline stating they wanted more kids and it literally made me ill.

ETA: I never have a good UO, so i wanted to share something today. Haha

You want to go into labor at 36 weeks??  You realize that's still not full term, right?
I was thinking the same thing!  I've got a massage scheduled for Saturday.  I'll be making sure they don't focus on my feet this time *just in case.*  Baby needs to stay put a little longer and DS came the day after a massage last time around (1 week early).

Now, I will be scheduling another massage about a week out from EDD and have no problem letting them go for it since I'm hoping for a vbac, but 36 weeks is just too early still.

My early TMI confession is that yesterday after I put my kid to bed, I decided I needed to shower. After I put my clothes in the laundry basket -- I realized the act of undressing was entirely too exhausting for me and I was having hot flashes, I went and sat down to watch TV then surfed the internet a little.

DH had been out at dinner with his coworkers and boss, so I heard him open the front door and realized it would be weird if he found me sitting naked watching TV so I scrambled and sprinted down the hallway in all my glory to hop in the shower and pretend like I had been in there for a while.

Looking back, I definitely feel like a moron running down the hallway naked while 8 months pregnant. The visual makes me cringe.
That's weird in your house? Haha I pretty much walk around in my underwear all the time these days if I don't have anywhere to be, DH thinks nothing of it!

Yes, naked is definitely weird especially when you have a nearly three year old (unless you ARE the three year old).

Yeah I guess I could see that being weird with a kid. Man that means I have to get used to not walking around almost nekkid pretty soon!

This is a real thing?? :-o

DH is going to be gone for a week soon, and I'll be on maternity leave and I have been looking forward to getting a mani/pedi while he's gone...  But shockingly I do not want to trigger labor at 37 weeks ;-)

It is!  If they specialize in prenatal massages, then they know the right pressure points to pinpoint that may help move things along.  Not sure I 100% believe in it, and last time they asked if I wanted them to work on that and I told them no, but I definitely got extremely relaxed (ok, probably fell asleep) when she was working on my feet and 12 hours later I was in labor.  Now, I also went and worked out after the massage, so it could have been that too, or it just could have been baby's time to go regardless of what I did the night before, but I'll take any excuse to get in one more massage before LO gets here.
  • @bunny0711 I did but it didn't seem to do much. I gave DD1 strips of washcloth dipped in water and frozen when she was teething though and it worked so figured I'd give it a go. It's definitely helping so whoever suggested it for teething babies 5 years ago was spot on!

Nope not weird at all.  As long as my boys aren't around (13 and 11) I have no problems being naked.

  • Ugh. I HATE having to confess this... I just went ape shit on my biological father's voicemail (and I might regret it in a small way). I have all sorts of insecurities around being pregnant/feeling as big as a house so I stay clear of pictures. I also have a profession where Facebook is a touchy subject so although I have one, it's for networking and I do not have any pictures of myself/DH. Well, last night Bio-F asks for a pic because he is miles away, I haven't seen him in years and he is very excited for his first grandchild. So I break down and text him a pic. I wake up this morning and that same pic is on Facebook. First I went ape shit, then I had a fucking melt down hyperventilating. Granted, I still don't want the pic up but WHY did I have to flip out and look like a crazy prego chick...

Oh, because I am. (Hangs head in shame)

Nomi, but the point is you stopped it for your boys...so you will eventually stop it for your daughter.

    ......Right??????????

I have an unhealthy obsession with trying to find a reasonable, decent jogging stroller that I can put the infant seat in (for walks) and for my toddler.  I can't find anything within our budget I have been scouring the internet for deals and alternatives and now I find out that our car seat we had with DS (safety 1st) doesn't really seem to be compatible with the infant seat attachments.  I may just lose my mind.  We have a bike trail like 3 miles from our house that I love walking on and it looks like unless I want to invest $1000 in new car seat, stroller, adapter, etc, I'm SOL until next spring when LO can sit in the stroller himself.  I'm sad.

Not necessarily.  I do wear minimum of panties if I have to check on her in the middle of the night or something, but I really tend to not care.  I stopped more for their comfort than for mine.  I'm not dancing around shaking my breasts but it doesn't bother me even if my boys see them.  I do make sure to be wearing bottoms, but I have changed shirts and all with my boys in the room.  I warn them "I am changing my shirt you may want to look away or step out, but I still do so.

I will teach DD to respect her body but at the same time I don't stress over nakedness when it is only family around.

So I dont want to be that pregnant woman but everytime someone at work complains to me about being tired or having a backache I just want to scream at them no you have no idea what tired and sore are! So I guess I'm saying being pregnant gives me the trump card lol

So you ARE that pregnant woman then?

  • DH has been home sick for 3 days but refuses to take medicine or go see a doctor. I'm so tired of seeing him sleeping on the couch 24/7 that I want to punch him in the face. He feels bad in the morning then fine in the afternoon so why he can't get off his butt & do something is beyond my comprehension. ~X(

To stem from the baby nickname talk in UO, this little boy's nickname has been set for a while now. First name: Maximilian Original nickname: Max DW's lazy nickname: Mac Max is a big baby boy so it's only natural that his official nickname be.... Big Mac! :D So that's my little confession for the day. My baby's nickname is a famous burger. Yup, we're "unique".
Big Mac was my nickname in middle school and into high school before it was just shortened to Mac.
I played baseball growing up and through college.  At the time, Mark McGuire was really popular - and we both played first base - so it was an easy connection.  I did have someone ask one time if it was "because I liked McDonalds."
there are two motivations in sports, which is yours?
