    Can I Eeyore this thread? DS is in an incredibly difficult phase right now. He has been clinging to me constantly and is so whiny. We went to the inlaws' house today, and he whined and cried so much, I know they all probably bitch about him because it's just constant. He won't just play, he glues himself to me and cries. Then, he's been having massive tantrums at home. Like, just now he SCREAMED in the shower with me and asked to get out. As soon as DH got him out, he a SCREAMED to get back in. Huge meltdown ensued. Then, he literally bit my boob. It hurt so fucking bad, I was in tears, he just thinks it's funny. I feel like a failure of a parent.

    Hugs littlejerry. Those phases aren't fun. With my boys, they were usually triggered by a growth spurt and accompanying overtiredness. DS2 would also become extremely irritable at the beginning of allergy season. I don't know if you have either of those issues going on, but you're not a failure of a parent. It will pass.

    Thanks guys. I think it's possible he's getting teeth. Maybe a growth spurt? He's currently losing his shit in his room with DH. He's always been a handful, but these past few weeks have been horrible.

    @Little Jerry‌ Hugs to you, mama. You're most certainly not a failure. Our DS is definitely going through a phase right now too. So I get the frustration. He's testing our patience and pushing boundaries like woah. So just know you're not alone!

    @MermaidsMagic‌ holy shit. I'm sorry about the accident. Is everyone ok? I hope so!! How scary!

    Welp. I've officially started looking for a new sitter. I'm over the multiple attempts to try getting in touch with this girl and no answer. I dont deal well with flaky people.

    I renewed our care.com membership last week and pre emptively posted a job on it. I looked through the replies tonight and message a few applicants back, so I'm hoping to set up a few interviews this week. wish me luck yall. I swear, this needs to be the last search for a reliable sitter. I hate having to get my kid used to a new person over and over again (which usually isn't an issue for him, but it is for me!). I just want one person that I can feel comfortable with!

    We still have our first sitter thats recovered from surgery, but of course, she's already committed to another family on the night we need someone. So off we are to look for someone else.

    Driving, driving and more driving. Went up to visit my sister at work and then to a nearby park followed by water table fun with neighbors. Next up, picking my dad up at the airport. A great end to the holiday!

    That happened to me. Luckily LO wasn't in the car but they did actually hit me. The kid was on the clock too. I'm glad your quick thinking avoided it for you because my car has been "fixed" but doesnt run like it did before the accident.

    That's so scary @mermaidsmagic. I fucking hate when people can't be bothered to look before turning. Twice in the last 3 days someone has tried to merge into my car, while I'm transporting my toddler. I want to break their faces. I'm glad you were quick thinking and were able to avoid an accident. Asshole.

    Another deck break. Cabin is basically done and BF is Convinced traffic "going down the hill" with be a shitfest so we are kicking it till 8.

    I'm terrible with names still but sorry for the toddler trauma little jerry (?) Def not terrible mom though. Mine is 19 months and has spent the weekend exploring ( read climbing on every inch) of the cabin making me a nervous wreck.

    Almost tboned sounds terrifying my heart would still be beating like crazy!

    Ok back to my cabin deck reading then make dinner for Sammie.

    We had a great day today of relaxing, having BIL and SIL over with their 3 kids, and swimming. It rained for about an hour just in time for us to go inside for lunch but was beautiful other than that.

    I told SIL I am KU because she brought 3 different cocktails, and I knew she'd be suspicious if I didn't drink the whole day. We hugged and cried in the kitchen. It was nice.

    Driving home. Missing Lifetime television premier of petals on the wind but hoping out will be on demand tomorrow. We Stayed way later than normal and he is driving home so all I gotta do is bump.
