Ahmazing. My boss had another sm come in to help me get ready since he was worried about me...
She dosent understand what's so bad about my store conditions.
Your boss needs a boot up the ass.
I'm feeling really judged with this whole daycare thing. Evverytime I see the other mom she says "your baby was crying a lot again."
Like no fucking kidding. Thanks for the update. What exactly do you want me to do about it? I feel like a shitty mom. But I think the bigger problem is that it's a shitty nanny.
1. I love this thread. I'm a complete chatterbox and need to spout random comments. I need a thread like this in real life. Maybe a box I can tell it into?
2. I need to brag. I have guests coming into town and have a lot of deep cleaning I haven't had the time to get to. I got up at 5 am every day this week and my house looks amazing. I cleaned out my daughter's playroom this morning. I feel so accomplished!

I am in complete awe of you!! I need to clean my house, but I don't have the discipline to get up early to do it! I have made it my goal the last 2 weeks to find a missing green dessert bowl (DD1 had snacks in it and it has since disappeared). I can't even manage that! Which, makes me think my house really needs a good cleaning... because how can a bowl hide for 2 weeks when I'm trying to find it?
Well this morning is going well. Fur baby decided to go over the fence and chase rabbits... My neighbor came to the door I answered because I q's worried when I looked and didn't see fur baby on the porch like she normally is. He had called her back up in the yard once already. Did I mention I was in my bra and some boy shorts FML
@Jennibeanjld he had brought her back in he yard already once (has many times before this too) so I think he was giving me the heads up to bring her inside. They are actually awesome neighbors that we really like and tend to hang out with so it might be a little awkward... He kept apologizing
... because how can a bowl hide for 2 weeks when I'm trying to find it?
I had the same problem a while ago. But the bowl was orange. Lost for 2 weeks.
Now it's a Spider-Man running shoe of my toddler's. he had them both a week ago. Threw one over the couch, which I retrieved. The other is still MIA. How? Where? He's gated in on this floor. Where did it go? I'm baffled. I've even looked in the liquor cabinet which is locked!!!

Hahaha, that would have been great if the shoe had ended up inside the locked cabinet :0) I just don't even know where to look for that stupid bowl anymore...
I'm pretty sure my period is like beatlejuice. You say it too many times and it appears! I was talking with my sister yesterday about how I haven't had a period in almost a year, and then yesterday afternoon had some spotting. Now the spotting is gone. So now I'm paranoid I'm giving @Cmmo14 a run for her BFP money.
We just dtd for the first time at 13 weeks. Question for the other cs mamas: did your O feel different? I knew things obviously weren't going to be the same but I wasn't expecting to feel.....almost numb I guess is how I would describe it.
@ntdane my first o was weeeeeakkk. I don't o every time (never have), but they've gotten closer to normal.
Hadn't been on TB for 2 days so I come to this thread and have 200+ posts to catch up on. Just as I do, A starts hollering so I close it. Now I only have 20 posts and I don't know what page to go back to. (
I also just got of the phone with the pedi. A had a little blood in his poop. They said just to watch it for the next 24-48 hours since he is acting normally and the blood was "on top" and not "mixed in". They reassured me it was probably just due to A straining a little and fairly common.
I will still be a worried mommy for the next few days. Any little cry has me anxious.
I'm trying to convince DH to move to Chicago. Specifically, Elgin. I don't want to raise our children in Las Vegas. My attempts have been unsuccessful so far.
I'm gonna have to come back later to catch up. But guise. My waitress this morning haz ALL tha dumz. She has a dd who is the same age as Jackson (3.5 months) and she asked if I'd started giving him cereal yet. :-@ and that even though her doctor said not to she gives her daughter cereal and bananas in her bottle ("just cut the nipple with a knife") and now she sleeps from 8pm until when she (the mom) wakes up in the morning (because that is what is most important in life). I didn't want to be a dick so I was just like "oh really? Yeah. Ok". But DH said I'm not very good at hiding my emotions on my face. Apparently I was looking at her like she was the dumbest fucking person ever. Because ... She was.
Edit. Add words. And plus also. A guy was trying to get us to do a timeshare thing and (1) he thought we meant 3.5 years instead of 3.5 months (yes our 3 year old still gets carried around in a car seat and only weighs 15 pounds) and (2) even after we corrected him he said something about letting the kid jump on the bed. Smh my iq is dropping by the minute.
My pre-op appointment was like an interrogation! I had to fight for my tubal but I guess the doc just wanted to make sure that I am sure. Also no Rx for pre surgical soap or pain meds maybe I will leave with a pain med Rx?
@Laura8388 is there at least a bar? Hope you have a nice visit at least!!
Lol. I hear a lot of border towns in Saskatchewan don't have drinking. I worked with a girl in Winnipeg that was from a border town in Sask and she hated it.
Enjoy your visit. And remember, around that area,... ...you can watch your dog run away for days. Lol. (Because its so flat)
Lily doesn't reach for things or hold much besides my fingers and grabbing her ears while nursing. She doesn't move her arms nearly as much as she moves her legs. She's also still going 3hrs max between feedings at night (ebf). She's 12 weeks. What the heck?
My 16 wo goes 3 hours max during the day, but usually only 2. He consistently goes at least 3 at night, often 4, sometimes 5. The only things he really grabs are fingers, his own hands, and his wubbanub. He tries to get it to his mouth, but doesn't make it very often. He usually ends up biting its butt or legs.
So my MIL is working temporarily at this office and has asked DH and I if she could do direct deposit into out bank account for her paychecks. Apparently they won't issue paper checks and apparently she doesn't have a bank account (???). Whatever. So she calls me today and offers to take me out to lunch... sounds good! Well come to realize she offered because today is payday and she is looking for a way for me to drive to her and deliver her money (she doesn't have a car either... ). Whatever.. at least I get a lunch out of the deal.
Boy do I regret that.
Naturally I bring Robert with me. We go to a basic chain restaurant and she asks if Robert can sit next to her in the booth (in his car seat of course). Sure why not?
Double regret.
His naps have SUCKED lately. He's been doing 30-45 minute naps and has been tired cranky in between each one. He fell asleep in the car (as usual) and was sound asleep when we got our booth. I told her that if it looks like he's stirring to give his car seat a rock or two because he desperately needs to nap. So what does she do?? The minute he starts to stir she UNBUCKLES HIM AND PICKS HIM UP! WTF?! That is the opposite of what I asked!! So now he's awake and screaming. He eventually falls asleep in her arms. The meal arrives and she plops him back in his car seat! Good lord... so he's fussy/crying/not sleeping and she's all confused as to why he's not in a good mood. He eventually falls asleep. She finishes her meal and, even though he's sound asleep, PICKS HIM UP AGAIN! Same cycle ... fussy then falls asleep in her arms... then she puts him down because it's time to go... and he's fussy again.
Never again.
If she wants her money next week she can figure out a way to pick it up herself. I would have gladly paid for my own lunch just to avoid that whole catastrophe. She's lucky he fell asleep once we got home.
I'm sorry @SomersIsles - my MIL does the same thing with M. It's frustrating because the in laws just want their baby time but don't have to deal with the ramifications of their actions!
Exactly this! I have to say I was incredibly patient during that whole thing (while internally fuming because of the possible consequences to his sucky lunchtime nap once he got home)... she doesn't get to see Robert often... but seriously... never again.
I'm glad to hear other kids aren't very good at the sitting and using their hands. I have been feeling like Will's delays are super obvious lately, but his EI insists he is actually on track. Hearing that there are other babies at a similar place helps me not see him as delayed.
(And this is where I get that paranoid feeling that people will be upset that I'm comparing my special needs baby to their typical baby.)
@babylimas Was it you that mentioned how hospital time sort of affected the developmental age?? I had never heard of this! Robert spent 10 days in the hospital... should I be thinking about an adjusted age for him in some sense? What about the fact that he was 5 days past due?
i always forget Will is special needs until you point it out my baby isn't sitting or grabbing things either. she swats at one toy.
I always remind myself that if she wants to she will. also.... no one graduates high school without learning to grab a toy or sit. it'll come eventually. patience kemosabe.

Yes, I actually talked to his cardiologist about it this morning. She told me that kids are usually not getting as much social interaction (because other things are being focused on) and even if they are, there is a ton of distraction going on. She told me that the babies usually don't progress much while in the hospital. I don't think you need to think of an adjusted age, but maybe give him a little credit. Remember Will has spent about 5 weeks inpatient, so it's a pretty significant chunk of his life.

Our LO isn't sitting yet. She sometimes attempts to sit up while I hold her, I can feel her belly tightening as she tries, but she doesn't get very far. As far as her hands go - she's best at smacking herself in the face with them :-) Every baby is different. Don't be paranoid - I'm certainly not offended. I think everyone compares and if they say they don't, they're lying. ;-)
One thing I really learned from DS1 was how pointless comparing is, and how little it can mean long term. Being born at 27 weeks he did everything late, like not walking until 18 months (15 corrected). We even saw PT for 6 months after his first birthday to help him learn to do things like roll over, reaching for things, and sit from standing. It was stressful, but now he is a totally normal 3 year old. We actually have a follow up appointment with his rehab hospital next week, and he should be discharged from the program! They'll do things in their own time (even if they need assistance to get there)!
Brooklyn's new sleep sacks came in today...I didn't realize one was micro fleece
I still want to use it but I'm so scared she'll overheat. We keep it like 68-69 degrees at night with a fan. I'm hoping if I just put her in a long sleeve onesie she'll be ok??

@babycaps welcome!
@Cmmo14 so when is the tww up?

I just went to meet DH for lunch. The lady in the cafeteria wanted us to give Isla a pickle. Uhm, no way.
Hope you have a nice visit at least!!

This too shall pass.
