  • Just picked K up to her nurse her and found a woodtick in her ear!!!! :( It's our first one this year and considering we have a dog, I'm surprised K got the first one! Now I'm all paranoid there's more!

Yuck! I hate ticks, and I always seem to be the one that finds them! Oh and I usually only find them when H isn't around and I have to deal with it!
  • MRI went well, but they didn't really tell him much. They'll send the results to his neurologist who will let DH know what it showed.

@Kewii‌ that would be so hard to deal with, I hope you can get things figured out.

@babylimas‌ Will just keeps proving what a strong boy he is! Love the updates!

Thanks ladies.  It's nice to know no one thinks I'm overreacting.  Today we fought the fight of blankets.  Tomorrow I'm going to have to get on her about diaper changes. Seriously, everytime I went up Layla was wet.  If a baby is crying, wouldn't you check that?

    Ugh.  Just 8 more days.

  • @CaseAndDave‌ I agree with @bjd316‌ . Be prepared to talk about yourself and how your experiences make you a good candidate. Also, ask questions! What is the interviewer most excited about this new library? What type of person do they think the new position will require? Asking questions shows your enthusiasm and always looks good to the interviewer. Also, most people love to talk about themselves so the more personal those questions are (within reason!) the better they'll be received. What you plan to wear sounds great! Good luck!

  • Mother eff. We came up from the beach around 11 so we could avoid the most potent sun with LO. We planned on going to the pool around 2-3, but at 2 DH decided to lay down for an hour. We (I) got everything ready to go and we started to walk over to the pool and there are more people over there than we've ever seen at once so we decided to wait 10-15 minutes and check again. I laid LO down on the floor on a blanket beside me and he passed out. So we may or may not go to the pool. Ever.
  • @Laura8388‌ If I remember right, you had retained placental fragments right? That's pretty common with preemies, the placenta knows it isn't time to leave yet, so it tries to hang around and the left over pieces prevent the uterus from clamping down to stop bleeding. If you carried closer to term (push for a cerclage!!) you probably wouldn't have the same issue. But do let them know you PPH'd and needed a D&C and blood, that way they can do 'expectant management' and make sure to have the right drugs and things in the room to intervene early if things look like they are getting out of control.

You're probably a good candidate to NOT have it repeat! Good luck!!

  • @Laura8388‌ have fun at the In laws @Aturl‌ what is that seat you have there? I might have to checking out!! My random: I do not want to even think about getting supper ready... How can I convince DH that since he has been working so much lately we should go to our fav burger place (CHUBurger) I must convince him he needs a beer and burger!!!!

@futuremrsspriggs‌ fisher price sit-me-up floor seat. It reclines some and goes high enough in the back that it supports his head some too.
  • @Cmmo14‌ I'm impressed with your patience. If that were me, I would've POAS by now. The suspense would be killing me.
  • @Laura8388‌ I hemorrhaged after I delivered Alice because I had some retained placenta. I ended up needing a D&C and a blood transfusion. They told me it was because my placenta knew it wasn't time to detach yet (my cervix didn't get that memo). I didn't have any of that with Eli (I also ended up with a c-section) because my placenta detached all on its own.

  • I tried to take a video of Audrey laughing today because it's all gurgle-y and cute, and discovered that the mic has crapped out on my phone. Now I'm sad that I have this silent video and none of the 'simple' on-line fixes worked on the mic. Don't know if it's worth fixing since my contract is up in August, and I'll be getting a new phone. But, damn!!

  • You know you aren't as close to your friend  as you thought when you find out through a mutual friend they had their baby 2 days ago and didn't say anything to you even though you've been in contact with them. She just failed to mention that detail.
    Wow, seriously?
  • Yeah I'm still baffled. And no one knows the name yet. It's just bizarre to me.
Very bizarre.  I would think that would be all one would talk about after just giving birth...
  • I think I missed the post where @Cmmo14‌ maybe made a baby waffle 3.0. What happened???

    Me too!

  • Finally got Colton to bed!!! 4 hours later... My nippies are chapped :(
  • I'm having such a hard time keeping up lately.

We just had sex for the first time a few days ago (9.5 weeks PP). My vag did NOT feel ready. First time was no fun at all. It was downright painful to be honest - mainly where I was cut for the episiotomy. Boo.

I really hope it gets better...

  • I'm also in the non-dtd club. I still have an open wound (albeit always bandaged) but it just seems weird.
  • Night 2 that I got home after my babies were in bed. 2 more to go. I only see them when they have their 3am bottle.

This was my life with James. It sucks.
    That majorly sucks.
  • @DisneyAddict1‌ that's wicked awkward... Did she only keep the info from you or most people?

The only thing I could think is maybe there is something wrong and she doesn't feel so chipper in spreading the news? I'd assume by now you'd know if that were the case though...
  • We are like nervous teenagers! Ds3 Is the result of a broken Trojan, and currently I am on no other bc. My tubal is Tuesday. I couldn't imagine a ds4 or a dd :-t

We just dtd for the first time at 13 weeks. Question for the other cs mamas: did your O feel different? I knew things obviously weren't going to be the same but I wasn't expecting to feel.....almost numb I guess is how I would describe it.
