Just picked K up to her nurse her and found a woodtick in her ear!!!! It's our first one this year and considering we have a dog, I'm surprised K got the first one! Now I'm all paranoid there's more!

Yuck! I hate ticks, and I always seem to be the one that finds them! Oh and I usually only find them when H isn't around and I have to deal with it!
Know how to easily & cheaply fix the toothpaste problem? You each get your own tube. Then no one has to listen to your bitching.
FOR REAL. I have no patience with petty whining. I squeeze from the middle; he squeezes from the end. I like fluoride; he likes fluoride-free. Solution? We each have our own toothpaste. Seconds of strife this has cause in our marriage? 0.01. How long it took us to figure out we should just have our own. *major eyeroll*
I have an interview on Thursday also! There are a few open positions for promotion, one on my team and a couple in other areas. While I would be cool coming back to my current job, a promotion would be awesome.
In amazing news, I actually find clothes to wear. It only took 5 stores and two trips. Now I just hope M had a good sleeping day so I can spend time prepping. It's not that easy getting my head in the game to interview for a promotion when I haven't worked for 3 months.
Thanks ladies. It's nice to know no one thinks I'm overreacting. Today we fought the fight of blankets. Tomorrow I'm going to have to get on her about diaper changes. Seriously, everytime I went up Layla was wet. If a baby is crying, wouldn't you check that?
@CaseAndDave I agree with @bjd316 . Be prepared to talk about yourself and how your experiences make you a good candidate. Also, ask questions! What is the interviewer most excited about this new library? What type of person do they think the new position will require? Asking questions shows your enthusiasm and always looks good to the interviewer. Also, most people love to talk about themselves so the more personal those questions are (within reason!) the better they'll be received. What you plan to wear sounds great! Good luck!
Mother eff. We came up from the beach around 11 so we could avoid the most potent sun with LO. We planned on going to the pool around 2-3, but at 2 DH decided to lay down for an hour. We (I) got everything ready to go and we started to walk over to the pool and there are more people over there than we've ever seen at once so we decided to wait 10-15 minutes and check again. I laid LO down on the floor on a blanket beside me and he passed out. So we may or may not go to the pool. Ever.
@Laura8388 If I remember right, you had retained placental fragments right? That's pretty common with preemies, the placenta knows it isn't time to leave yet, so it tries to hang around and the left over pieces prevent the uterus from clamping down to stop bleeding. If you carried closer to term (push for a cerclage!!) you probably wouldn't have the same issue. But do let them know you PPH'd and needed a D&C and blood, that way they can do 'expectant management' and make sure to have the right drugs and things in the room to intervene early if things look like they are getting out of control.
You're probably a good candidate to NOT have it repeat! Good luck!!
This has to be the best baby item that I would never have purchased for myself. We got this at our shower and I think it is hands down waaaayy better than the bumbo. @nblondheim I hope there are no more ticks. I'm scared to death of them since my cousin had one on her and has had major issues with lyme's (sp?) disease since then @babylimas my niece has DS and she has also had heart surgery at 6mo of age. She is now right around 18mo and just started walking!! Those kiddos are so amazing!!! Will I'm sure will amaze both you and his therapists on a regular basis!! The progress that she has made since her heart has been repaired is crazy! It was so hard for her before then to even have the energy to eat.
@Laura8388 have fun at the In laws
@Aturl what is that seat you have there? I might have to checking out!!
My random: I do not want to even think about getting supper ready... How can I convince DH that since he has been working so much lately we should go to our fav burger place (CHUBurger)
I must convince him he needs a beer and burger!!!!
@Laura8388 I hemorrhaged after I delivered Alice because I had some retained placenta. I ended up needing a D&C and a blood transfusion. They told me it was because my placenta knew it wasn't time to detach yet (my cervix didn't get that memo). I didn't have any of that with Eli (I also ended up with a c-section) because my placenta detached all on its own.

I tried to take a video of Audrey laughing today because it's all gurgle-y and cute, and discovered that the mic has crapped out on my phone. Now I'm sad that I have this silent video and none of the 'simple' on-line fixes worked on the mic. Don't know if it's worth fixing since my contract is up in August, and I'll be getting a new phone. But, damn!!

So, the house we looked at yesterday has a bidet in the master bathroom. DH was all excited about how he could use it as a urinal and not have to worry about putting the seat on the toilet back down for me... I say, pull that thing out and we'll put a jacuzzi tub in that corner! There are already water lines there!
You know you aren't as close to your friend as you thought when you find out through a mutual friend they had their baby 2 days ago and didn't say anything to you even though you've been in contact with them. She just failed to mention that detail.
F14 had their first BFP.. COme on @cmmo14 when are you posting your BFP!?
And DH doesn't understand why I still make him pull out even though I'm on the minipill. I really don't feel like having my sewed together uterus explode. #sorrynotsorry DH
We just had sex for the first time a few days ago (9.5 weeks PP). My vag did NOT feel ready. First time was no fun at all. It was downright painful to be honest - mainly where I was cut for the episiotomy. Boo.
I really hope it gets better...

I wanted to use gentian violet to work on our thrush. He asked me to wait until he checked with the doctor. So I decided to just put it on myself and it should be dry by the time Layla ate.
Yup, she's covered in purple and it's not like I can hide that.
@DisneyAddict1 that's wicked awkward... Did she only keep the info from you or most people?
The only thing I could think is maybe there is something wrong and she doesn't feel so chipper in spreading the news? I'd assume by now you'd know if that were the case though...
We are like nervous teenagers! Ds3 Is the result of a broken Trojan, and currently I am on no other bc. My tubal is Tuesday. I couldn't imagine a ds4 or a dd :-t
We just dtd for the first time at 13 weeks. Question for the other cs mamas: did your O feel different? I knew things obviously weren't going to be the same but I wasn't expecting to feel.....almost numb I guess is how I would describe it.

@Kewii that would be so hard to deal with, I hope you can get things figured out.
@babylimas Will just keeps proving what a strong boy he is! Love the updates!
