  • I feel like I'm going to choke DH.  He is supposed to be handling things with our broker on getting pre-approved for a new mortgage.  He told me what documents we needed last week (pay stubs, tax returns, etc.) and I got everything together for him.  He said he was taking it to work add in his stuff, scan and e-mail to the guy.  We just got an e-mail from the broker asking if we are still interested in pre-approval.  Grrrrrr.

  • Ideas on places to get a decent patio umbrella? This is on my list of things to replace this weekend after storms destroyed ours.

This is probably the most disgusting thing I've ever seen. Reminds me of a post I saw on FB yesterday about gigantic hornets that are a huge problem in Asia right now.

I handle all of our bills and stuff, I just try to let him handle some things because I get so stressed trying to do it all and I don't think it's fair.  Then something like this happens.

    !
I've been having to wrestle Hannah into the car also when I pick her up from daycare.  She'll wait until I have the chest clip buckled, and then thrust up with her legs, pushing her body down, and essentially hanging herself from her car seat straps.

    It's fun.

Ha. Not funny, but Ethan does the same. I clip the bottom part first, then piece together the chest straps.. Then he's trapped >:)
I've been having Lily help with the chest clip and that's eliminated the struggle we were having when leaving daycare.  I just line it up for her and she pushes it together.  Maybe that's worth a try?
When Ethan helps, he just ends up playing with it and gets mad if I clip it together. I try to distract him with anything at this point.

    STUCK!

"Loved it" only because I can totally relate. I'm sorry this is adding to an already stressful situation.

    O.M.G.  I am so angry that I'm sweating.  Must.Calm.Down.

I have a few California customers that call at 4-5pm their time, which is 7-8pm my time.  Most of them can be 'nudged' into calling earlier in the day, but this one dick is upset that I didn't return his 8pm phone call last night.  He said HE is the customer, and I should cater to him if I want him to buy my equipment.

Um.  Dude............. we're not on opposite sides of the globe.  I don't need to make calls in my pajamas like I do to other countries.  It's a *gasp* 3 hour time difference.  I am available at the office and during my commute, so 7:30a-6:30p my time.  If he can't call me within those 11 hours, then honest to god, I don't want him as a customer.  People like that are nightmares to work with, and I'll consider this a blessing in disguise.

I'm taking a breather so I can respond professionally.  I love our California ladies on here, but I swear 80% of the people from CA I deal with are either out of their fucking minds or complete pricks.  The other 20% are awesome nice.  What gives?

ETA: For context, he called me Monday morning at 1am.  That's when the anger started building.  I've spent my nights at home on the phone with him multiple times over the past 4 weeks, and one Saturday call, and so to be such a dick to me when I've been over backwards is the limit.  I seemed awfully whiny over one comment.  It's more than that.
This is what I dealt with when I worked with Mexico.  Start calling at 5am his time, and act all butthurt when it takes 3 hours for him to return a call.

A tiny part of me thinks that the people in Cali who are the type to buy my equipment are so lost in themselves that they literally do not realize there is a time difference.

Oh, last week a comment was made to a colleague that 'women with families should not be in administrative roles'....................... because I had to leave work at the end of the day to pick up my kid.  People without kids sometimes see families as a weakness.

WTF, my kid-less colleagues leave the office at some point too. That seems like a stupid thing to say when you're available to him and others all those other hours.

My SIL called me last night and cried for almost an hour.  She has PPD something fierce and her wacko doctor has her convinced that Vitamin D will help her because otherwise she'll have to stop BF because of drug interactions.  I snapped at her and told her that's wrong and she should be getting a 2nd opinion.

Not to mention she thinks her baby has refulx because she throws up all the time.  She's had a prescription for baby Zantac and it doesn't do anything.  Then she told me she feeds her 6oz per feeding.  Uh....your baby is only 6wks old.  That's too much food.  No wonder she's throwing up!  Babies are like goldfish...they'll just keep eating until they throw up!  She has some nonsense in her head that she has to be Supermom and do everything right and have this perfect baby.  I keep telling her that no one cares except her and that life with a NB is not in the least bit exciting.  It's about survival.

Zoloft is allowed for Breastfeeding moms. It was used for years before it was proven alright, but it officially became allowed in 2012

I don't know- the story I read yesterday about giant wasps/hornets in Asia was real. They have so much venom, it shuts your renal system down. Scary shit. One was spotted in Illinois last year.

I saw a cricket looking thing in downtown Boston a couple years ago that was gigantic. It was not a cockroach, either. I also saw a ginormous looking butterfly thing in a park near my house. This shit is real...

  • When I lived in the Carribbean, there were spiders that could grow to the size of dinner plates--not their bodies, their bodies were the size of salad bowls, and the legs spread them out to dinner plate size. I'm sure I caused my self some bladder damage by refusing to pee in the dark on so many occasions.
