I had to log into my work email to get one thing. I have 635 unread emails. Don't know if that is high or low for what I expected.
I get my emails on my phone so I cleaned them out a few times. I was actually working last night (boo) and I have more to do the next few nights.
Before I had the baby, I was sure I was going to do this. Stay connected and stay out of email jail. But in the end, it was way easier to separate myself than I thought. I really did actually only read the one email I needed. I think I'm planning to do a half week my first week back. That will be email week.
I had a customer come in and complain about something out of my hands. She ended it with "I might switch stores" and in my head I was all "if I could only be do lucky"
I have people say that to me at the bank I work at alllll the time. I want to say "you really think this bank is going to go out of business because you took your $200 elsewhere?" But in reality I have to figure out a way to make them happy and stay... Ugh. Customer service can be a drag.
Probably stupid first time mom worry. But I just realized that I was pressing on LOs fontanelle while trying to keep her head still while syringing her nose. Her brain won't implode right?
Yeah, I'm less likely to go to the ends of the earth when people do that. In fact, I will work on other problems before I work on that one just because she was a bitch about it. (It's happens once)
I wish I could do that. If I didn't have management breathing down my neck and constantly worried about our customer satisfaction scores I totally would. But... It's all about the numbers.

There's a nice thick layer of cartilage between the skull plates and it can withstand a lot of force, so her brain's all good!
@tallash - this is mud bogging. So much fun. The girl on the left in the front drives it, (the one we are on, the one in the mud is her husbands) and she drives better than the guys. So. Much. Fun. Big hills and deep puddles, etc. Don't judge the pic, Jodi had baby so I was day drunk
@FarmBoysWife you gotta get the fuck out. Now. I hope your BFF gets something soon. I am also way curious as to what store you work at because then I can avoid every working in one.
My BFF is looking out for jobs for me at her company. Once i told her about upping my meds and having issues with my depression/cutting issues that get debilitating for the few days before his visits to a few days after she wants me out. She was my assistant for a while. My current assistant wants me out.
@cmmo14 can I come live in your veggie patch with my chinchilla and munchkin?
Back off, @FarmBoysWife! That garden is for me and the mole!!
Find me a nice comfy bridge and I'll become a bridge troll.. Or cmmo can put a bridge in her veggie patch and we can all cohabitate.
Maybe an arranged marriage or two
I can help on the arranged marriage part. I've got a BIL my inlaws are getting antsy about
I'm not sure that this has been discussed yet, but has anyone here signed up for Imagination Library for their LO? I signed mine up about a month after he was born and got his first boom earlier in May (The Little Engine That Could). I was just curious if anyone has gotten a second book yet and which one it was. I know I saw a list somewhere online from month to month but I cannot figure out where I found it.
We moved Harper up to size 1 diapers (pampers swaddlers) last week (she was 10lbs 6oz at her last appt.), but we keep having blowouts up her belly. Could her diaper be too big? I overlap the straps because her belly is so skinny and she keeps pooing out the front. Huggies size 1 are too big and the newborn pampers swaddlers worked just fine. Is anyone having similar issues?
We bought a rock n play sleeper (I think is what it is) for LO to sleep in at our condo with plans to return it before we go home because we really don't need it, he sleeps great in his playard. He looks soooo comfortable.
DH is going for an MRI tonight (10pm how crazy is that) to see if there is anything besides lack of sleep making his epilepsy worse lately. Now I'm freaking myself out with all the crazy 'what ifs' of all the worst case scenarios. So I'm trying to talk myself down right now, and waiting for him to call when he's done...

I tried to but it wasn't available in my area.
Yeah I hate that it's not available everywhere. You have to have a rep signed up for your area. I'm in SE Michigan and it's available in my county but my friend living 2 hrs away can't do it. I think it's an awesome program though! Maybe you could figure out how to become a rep for your area?
I've tried pulling it higher in the front, but she still blows out the top. Maybe I'll just try making it tighter around her belly. @lincbeesmom
The Honest Co diapers were working, but she had a blowout in those a few days ago. I'll try Up & Up next I guess. We liked the newborn size and never had blowouts. @bennieangel

They called me to come to the nursery at 10:30 because Layla would not calm down. She cried the whole morning. That hurts my heart.
But the worst part is the set up. I knew there would be cultural and language barriers for this, but I figured a trained nanny would be fine.
They had her in a crib with a blanket and a pillow. Not even a little blanket, a thick, puffy blanket. They also had baby powder out at the changing table. I took the extra stuff out of the crib and laid her down to sleep, and I'll address the baby powder later...
@Jenstwins I hope the MRI went well and all the what ifs can go away! @Kewii I'm sorry you're dealing with this! Those things definitely need to be addressed and I hope you either can feel more comfortable or find the strength to make difficult decisions.

We signed up and haven't gotten anything yet.
I signed LO up March 23 and got my first book in the beginning of May. So depending on when you sign up it could take until the second (and sometimes third) month after for it to start.
We had a great therapy appointment yesterday. I have been so stressed because Will seems very obviously behind. His early interventionist told me she assessed him at 6-7 weeks, which is actually right on target. When you take out the prematurity and hospital time he is exactly where she thinks he should be. I guess it makes sense that he isn't expected to develop when in the hospital - I just didn't think about it.
Also he has started batting at his mirror in his bassinet. She told me that's actually more advanced and she wouldn't have expected him to do it yet. She told me it was a really good sign because it shows he is curious and interested. Proud of my boy. :x

"You're going to be really strict with your kids. That's cool. I hope you get a bad sleeper." So good.
eta one day I'll regain my ability to spell.

Like stupid question coming:: the same oil you get to cook with? Or is there other ones?
