2nd Trimester

Birthing Plan

Hey ladies. I'm new to the 2nd tri :) I was on the 1st tri but I just found out that I'm 3 months pregnant at my first appointment. I just downloaded the birthing plan worksheet on this site & I was curious to know has anyone else already made a birth plan? I've always had home births & that's my plan for this time too. But I think I want to try a water birth. I might try that at the hospital or at home this time. & has anyone had a water birth before? If you had a home water birth, where did you get your tub? I know hospitals supply the tubs for you which is why I'm considering doing it at the hospital if I can't find one on my own.

Re: Birthing Plan

  • Oh, I thought when I get pregnant again, I'll just have my daycare provider make the birth plan. After all, she's raising my kids for me.

Lmao really? :) I love that you have all that energy directed towards my life to resort to doing all this extra b.s :) It's very flattering, thank you <3

    who the **** cares? leave that drama for that board. this is not talking about that. god you women act like damn babies. wait.... babies don't even act as bad as you do! you sound like a stalker. Go away =; =; =; =;

On another note (((((SINCE THIS IS WHAT THIS POST IS ABOUT)))) yes OP I did download the birthing plan on here and i think they have the best one on the internet i've found. I think babycenter might have one but i'm not sure. my birthing plan is for a hospital water birth. idk where i would buy my own tub or actually find a place to put it in my house lol. but my hospital gives you tubs too. you could try looking online like amazon.com for your own tub. how are the home births? i've never considered one.
  • I think I have seen the expression around that The bump never forgets... When you spout ignorance and then don't back down, retract, apologize etc but instead dig deeper and use patronizing language like "sweetie"or "lmao" when someone disagrees with you.. The thread, drama and dislike follows you.
So basically you get fans who just "follow you" like fans do? Oh okay, that sounds cool :)

Lol thank you girl. These women on here are a mess. But back on subject, yeah I like the birthing plan sheet on here too. I used it for my last pregnancy. I might do the water birth at the hospital too if I can't find my own tub. I never thought of Amazon. I'll look today for some. And home births aren't for everybody but I really love them. It's usually just my husband, my doula, my midwife, & my sister who are at our house for the home births & it's just a very relaxing & free feeling that I have. I'm restricted to a bed or one room, & their isn't constantly someone coming in checking on this or that. The birth just happens lol. For my first homebirth I was surprised at how easy it was. I was basically like, that's it? This was so easy. Definitely beats all those horrible hospital birth stories I see a lot on here. It's just much more relaxing & you are completely in control. You just have to be strong enough to take the pain because you can't get epidural or anything at home. But I wouldn't get that even I did have my babies at the hospital. I have to be able to feel body. & another cool thing about a home birth is that you don't have to rush anywhere lol. Instead everyone rushes to you haha.

LOL that you think that took "extra energy."
Well that time it took you to come to my post, find the link for my other post, post it & think of something clever to say, yes girl you did waste energy & TIME on doing all that. But it's fine :) Keep at it :) Your my follower :) That's your job now ;) wasting time & energy on me :)

i understand where your coming from. thats one thing i hated about having my son in the H. and every time they sent in a different nurse to see if i'm dilated or something because they kept changing shifts or one of them got too busy. it was just bullshit. and dont get me started on all the IVS and machines you get hooked up to. it sucks! and it makes it uncomfortable. i had an epidural but it made me not able to push instead i went sleep after being in labor for 8 hours straight. and when i woke up their gonna tell me that i'm progressing so i might need a csection. but when the epi wore off my labor progressed and i basically gave birth naturally because i barely felt the epi by this time. i would probably look into a home birth in the future. i think my only fear is something bad happening and i'm not at the hospital. that's always my fear. even with the water birth i'm scared my baby might drown. which is unlikely but idk i always have these feelings. what is a doula like?

How in world could a baby drown in a water birth?!  You know they are floating in a sac of water for 9 months right?
i was using that as a example of the weird fears i have. just saying i fear a lot can go wrong during pregnancy which is why i never considered a home birth. like i said, i know it's unlikely. what was the image you were trying to show? i can't see it.

No image.  Was merely explaining that unless you plan on keeping your baby under water it will not drown.  They won't take their first breath until you pull them out of the water and the umbilical cord keeps working for a few minutes after the birth.

A doula is basically a person who is like an angel sent from heaven while your in labor lol. Especially if your doing it naturally. My doula basically is the one that runs around the house getting things I need, even making runs to the store for things, talking me through the labor. & of course I have my husband there to do that & my midwife but a doula is basically my personal assistant. Even after labor she does our shopping list for the first 2 weeks. They are basically the person who serves you during labor so that your husband or loved ones can stay by your side. I love my doula. They play relaxing music, light candles, burn oils,  make a mellow mood happen, bring you water, fruit, whatever you need :) I always have her at my labors & she is the best. If your interested you can search locally for a doula in your area. And that kind of labor you had is the exact labor I'm trying to avoid. I do not want that at all. I fear too that things can go wrong but I always keep those things to furthest part of my mind. Although, I am prepared if they do happen. But just try not to let all of that get to you, labor is scary for everybody. It's the fear of the unknown & the fear of the pain.

Does repeatedly saying "you guys are a mess." to the members of this site and board violate the TOU?

    1. Remember the human: Malicious behavior is not acceptable here

When you communicate online, all you see is a computer screen – you are anonymously conversing with others behind a screen. This does not give you the right to maliciously criticize or attack others.

No I think the look I was going for is "I don't give a damn." & I'm pretty sure I still have that look, seeing as.... Well, I don't give a damn. Yeah...... I love that movie though :) Bridesmaids is my favorite of all time. I loved that lady in Anchorman 2 as well. She's pretty funny.
  • They both have this annoying habit of posting ahead of whatever they are quoting, which I've never seen anyone else do. Curious.
Actually no we don't. Might wanna RE-LOOK at all that. I usually quote at the very bottom because that's what my computer automatically does unless I feel like changing it which usually I don't lol. Never paid attention like you are at how the other mom puts her post. I have better things to do then all that. But you can go back to the drawing board, my fan :),  & think of something else. Have fun with that okay. If you think of something better this time then I'll give you a cookie :)
  • Not all hospitals provide a birthing tub. Check with your provider. You may have to provide one yourself. Also, dang OP. You don't sound terribly educated or aware. Do you not realize how insensitive you sound in your post on working moms? I'm a SAHM & feel like we all "raise our kids".
If you wanna talk about all that go to that post. This one isn't about all that. But back on subject, yeah your right. Not all hospitals provide tubs. I only found about 2 where I live that do provide them. I don't think all hospitals do water births either.
