I shouldn't complain because I'm so glad to be going on vacation. But I'm starting to get stabby because I know I'm the one who will have to get all three of us packed and ready AND it's looking like I'm going to be driving the whole way because h will be driving 7 hours round trip for work tomorrow and doesn't want to drive Friday evening. He said if I want him to drive we'll leave Saturday. But eff that I want to get to the beach yo!
So tomorrow I have to fold and put away laundry that's been sitting in baskets, do a few loads of laundry, get me and LO packed, clean the house, and mow the yard. I'm not sure how I'm going to get all of that done and have LO here with me. H doesn't know when he'll be home yet, and even once he is he'll want to take a nap after that drive and not watch LO so I can be outside for 2-3 hours so I can do the lawn. Fuck. After typing all that out we might HAVE to leave Saturday since I work Friday morning until 2:30 so it's not like I can do any of it before we leave. I appreciate DH driving so far for work because it's the best money he can make right now, but I swear I feel like a single mom even when he's here.

So my random: I was at dinner with my sister who's in town. (Some of you may remember how well this went when she stayed with me at Christmas they have a hotel this trip) I got there and they ordered without me. (Whatever it's been nice if I knew that they were already at the restaurant) but really no biggie. Dinner is fairly quiet and odd. Idk what to think. As I'm finishing up feeding Fallyn they both get up get the kids and randomly decide to leave. And just left me sitting at the table. I was left speechless Who just gets up plain as day and leaves? It was seriously the weirdest thing. I even called my other sister and told her what happened and she told me it pisses her off when they just get up and leave like that all the time she thinks they have a secret signal or something for it's time to awkwardly leave (apparently when they are ready there is no messing around and this isn't the first time) So I was left at the restaurant just chilling with LO at a huge table... Eta: I don't feel like fixing my spelling and grammatical errors... I bet you get what I actually mean. Just excuse this hot mess of a post
@bennieangel we are having a hot spell. It hit 90 today which is very hot for here. It rarely gets that warm even in the middle of summer so mid May is ridiculous. It will be raining this weekend I'm sure.

Thanks @bennieangel I don't accomplish that much ever either. That's why it's all down to the wire lol I can and probably will go easy on the cleaning portion because FIL is just coming to watch the dogs and I'm sure whatever cleaning I do will just get undone. But the yard and laundry are too priorities.
We took Layla for her two month shots today. They apparently do three here. My poor baby cried real tears for the first time. It broke my heart.
She's sleeping fine now, though. I haven't pulled out the baby tylenol yet. Did you guys give it? How did you know when they needed it?
Emma got 3 shots and an oral vax. She did great all day until she woke up from her nap at 5pm screaming bloody murder with no warning. After 15 mins of inconsolable crying we gave her Tylenol. She cried for another 50 mins like that then went to sleep. She fussed a little at the 9pm feed but was ok. At her MOTN feed I gave her another dose just in case. If I had known she'd wake up like that I would've given it to her earlier but she was showing no signs of pain. I'd give your LO some if she's showing any signs of fussiness but maybe she's taking it like a champ! I was just taken aback by the sudden onset of screaming with no fussiness ahead of time.

@futuremrsspriggs What? That is so weird, especially if they do that often (so rude!). How old is she? Also, they did pay their own tab before leaving, right?
@CruiseGirl28 I know! @CactusGirl yes we were at a place that you pay when you order, but they still deliver the food and wait on you etc. My sister said bye but it was weird. I'm still baffled. My H wasn't there and he's pissed. It's just so weird. My BIL will be at a conference the next two days and my Sister is a lot more relaxed when he's not around so we shouldn't have anymore walk outs

Yup. That was basically the experience we just had. I tried skin to skin, a bath, walking, bouncing etc. Had to go with the tylenol. She was screaming worse than I'd ever heard. It hurt my heart.
Am I the only one with a tiny baby still? It's getting weird seeing how big your babies are getting! Will is still solidly in newborn clothes. I can actually still get him in some preemie stuff. I would guess he is in the 8 lb range or high 7 lbs.

One of my twins is still in newborn at 13 weeks. He weighed in at 8 lb 4 oz last week. He's almost out of newborn due to length but otherwise he's a peanut. His sister is over 10 lbs and looks like such a chunker next to him.
Sorry for the delay in responding, went to be early! I'm in columbus, ohio. How about you?
I was going from Charleston, WV area up to around Marietta, OH. We ended up not getting anything (unless it started after midnight) but we're under a flood watch all day.
So that's my new random: my list of things to do before we leave just got cut in half. If it's that wet and rainy out, there's no way I can mess with our yard. So we're gonna have to call the crackhead to come do it next week while FIL is here. Oh well. I'm glad DH isn't driving up to work, he's gonna work from home instead because of the flood watch (that spans pretty much his whole 3.5 hour drive).

Piper is 10 lbs 2 oz at 2 months old. She still fits in a lot of newborn clothes. We just started the transition to size 1 diapers and 0-3 clothes but she is swimming in a lot of them.

Will was 7lbs 9 oz and 21.5 inches last weight check. This is our very first week of his life without a doctor's appointment but he is supposed to be growing fast now. I am purposefully not weighing him at home bc I'm enjoying not stressing about it.
Yeah Colton is a chunk at 7 weeks he is 12 pounds 2oz! Birth weight of 7.1, I think he is an endless growth spurt. Good thing I have magical boobies that can keep up with this guy
I'm probably going to cry when I watch greys finale.... I will have to watch it tomorrow on hulu becasue dh acts crazy when I cry watching shows.
Also my aunt and my mom are each texting me separately complaining about each other and my lazy sister.... I'm annoyed. It's their fault that she is lazy becasue everyone babies her and let's her get Away with not taking care of her child!!! Blah!!!!
@Jennibeanjld Tylenol with codeine! It's helps take the edge off. My migraines stayed with me my entire pregnancy...I am usually in two rx's in real life can't take during preg or nursing
FBW - my daughter has always done stuff like that. No gate could keep her in. She once climbed on my kitchen counter, opened a kid proof lid and drank a whole bottle of tylenol. I have called poison control about 5 times for her because she is very oral. She loves to get food out and mix together. I think there is a file on us somewhere.

DS2 got his shots yesterday. 2 needles and an oral. He had a fever in the evening, but hasn't been cranky or seemingly in pain. We have him Tylenol last night. He has a fever again this morning, but made it through the night just fine. I gave him another dose of Tylenol about an hour ago.
This is my first kid to ever react to shots really in any way. I was quite surprised.
Just got back from our 2 month and Asher did really well with the shots! Yay! Just hoping that the rest of the day/night isn't too bad since MH is out of town for a few nights for work.
Happy thoughts to those with hurt boobies and toes. And to those dealing with crazy weather.
Oh and on the small babies @babylimas, Asher is in 10th percentile for weight and 30th for length. Only 9 lbs 5 oz at 8 weeks. He is still wearing some newborn clothes, but not anything with feet due to the length. He swims in 3 month. Pedi isnt concerned because he is gaining (6lbs 11 oz at birth), full term.
Ha well y'all's small children still sound huge to me. Will hasn't made it on to the charts yet and he has a different chart that's smaller than the typical charts. My daughter was huge so this is not what I'm used to!
Fuuuuuuuuccccccccckkkkkkk. Fuck fuck fuck. I'm so mad!!
The visiting nurse came to pack my wound and do her usual once a week measurements. I'm in such a good mood because potentially tomorrow the plastic surgeon will stitch me up. That would be 6 weeks to the day of daily wound packing insanity.
I was under the impression my wound was half a centimeter deep with a tunnel on the side that started at 7cm but had dwindled to less than 2cm. Well OUT OF NO WHERE she goes to measure and discovers that the tunnel actually channels deeper to 4 CENTIMETERS!!!!! WTF?!??
She pretty much told me not to get my hopes up for tomorrow.
I don't understand how this tunnel had been pretty much hidden the whole time?? She's been doing weekly measurements and she never ever came across this tunnel... Which means no one had been packing it?? I don't know what to do.... I can't tell if the nurses screwed up and thus made the wound heal way slower? Was it unavoidable? Did it open up again?? Ugh!
I'm soooo over this I could cry... Actually I did cry. Fuck! I'm so pissed.
I'll join the small babies crew. Harper was 10lbs 6oz at her appointment last week (10 weeks). She's in the 11th percentile for weight. She's still in newborn everything.
I am so sorry. I cannot imagine still messing with that 6 weeks out.
I don't have much wound care experience, but I know they can change fairly quickly. Also, I wonder how much of the difference is due to different nurses measuring it?
Regardless, fingers crossed that you get good news and can put this behind you.
The part that confuses me is it's the same nurse always doing the measurements...
Am I ruining my kid because we don't do tummy time every day?
I carry her up against my shoulder a ton and she's always lifting her head up and back and looking around, and of course in my Mei Tai she does the same thing. But she HATES on the floor tummy time. Hates it. I've recently tried to prop a little bean pillow that came withher activity may under her arms for TT, she'll lift her head off the ground for 2.2 seconds and then just face plant and cry.

@CHPhotoMama can I make you a shirt that says "I heart my BSCMIL" just for shits and giggles? Yikes
@FarmBoysWife Fx YH get more hours and you can merge into staying at home!
