oh no @Mackalien13 I hope it gets better really really fast! happy birthday!
I'm done with all my work for the spring semester except one last final next week. I have no work to do today and my brain is like whoa with all the possibilities of what I can get done today.
Ivy just said "Victory is ours" in a low, menacing voice (well, menacing for a 4-year-old girl). All these superhero shows have made her really dramatic.
Reese is keeping herself busy this morning. She is FINALLY at the age where she can go into the basement and play by herself and doesn't need helping getting up and down the steps. I am loving it--I am finally able to get some much more stuff done. She is really good at playing independently---which is so nice.
Still enjoying a little peace before its back to reality later today. All caught up on Grays Anatomy & Law & Order SVU. Gotta fold some clothes & put some away then jumping in the shower & heading to town to get my toes done before I get the kids. Not real sure what's on the agenda for this evening or dinner
I'm going to punch my H in the throat. I've been up since 6, which puts me at roughly 6 hours of broken sleep, thanks to Z, and then she smeared yogurt all over her face and arms while I was peeing, so I tossed her in the shower. It took me less than five minutes to wash her and my hair, and he came downstairs all bent out of shape, because I was using all the hot water. After I got out, I yelled up the stairs that I'd like him to get up, and he's fucking ignoring me.
I've eaten cookies for breakfast and pumped breast milk for church tomorrow. Last Sunday I missed the entire service because I went to the nursery to feed DS. Those nursery ladies were weird and looked at me like they wanted some too. So we're taking a bottle tomorrow.
Also, I took both kids to the grocery store last night ALONE, and we all survived. I also didn't forget anything on my list, and it was a freaking long list, because we haven't been to get groceries in forever. DH would have gone, but he was super tired. He started a second job, so I'm trying to be understanding of his fatigue and, uhm, severe pissery. I think it's easier to handle a toddler and a newborn alone than it is to handle a toddler, newborn, and grouchy husband in the grocery store.
I freaking felt like Wonder Woman when I got home...
@monkeybabe I will be there in 3 hours to nut punch your H.
I left the door cracked and put on "What Does the Fox Say?" for Z at a decent volume. I tried being direct, but passive aggression got me what I wanted, lol.
WWPD question: Our friends got LO a baby Giants (baseball) jersey and an outfit, and DH was talking about how he can't wait to take her to a game. As a father's day gift, I want to get us tickets for a Padres/Giants game 4th of July weekend, probably the Sunday game since it is earlier. Am I crazy to take LO to a game at 5 months? Padres games are usually really quiet, but when the Giants come to town, it gets kind of crazy. I was just maybe going to get headphones for her.
They have another series when she is 7.5 months old, so that is another option.
We took DD to our local baseball game with fireworks and it was a late game. She was 7months. She was really good and actually fell asleep through a lot of it.
Went running solo and to Costco with the family. I wanted to run over everyone with my cart... People need to be more observant of others. Costco is the worst.
Now home and about to tidy up the garage.
I feel like costco should be treated like the road. Stay to the right, no blocking intersections, and fucking watch where you're going.
DH just woke up from an almost 4 hour nap. That is quite an accomplishment considering it's only 2pm. He said it was because it was because it's a lazy rainy Saturday, I say that it is because he wants to go play cards tonight, and plans on staying up all night. Guess who's not going to be sleeping Mother's day morning?
I know why no one else started the SPAM thread this morning. It's because you didn't want to deal with all the notifications I am now receiving.
Am I right?
Exactly why I don't start these threads or the the UO/FFFC threads anymore.
I figured. I was just thinking about this, and can you imagine if we got notifications every time someone love tited something you posted like on FB? You wouldn't ever want to post anything especially clever/funny again because HOLY NOTIFICATIONS.

But I determine my self-worth by how many people like my statuses.
Nope not crazy. We've took our LOs to hockey games at 2,3,4+ months old & those are garenteed to be insanely loud. They've never had issues or gotten scared at the noise & have at some point fallen asleep despite all the crazy going on around them. Remember that it is not necessarily quite in your womb so they are used to some level of noise even at birth. I say go & have fun!
DD just went for a nap about 45 minutes ago. She'd been up since 6:30, but refused to nap. Needless to say, I hope she sleeps for a while because omg she was tired.
I'm really freaking upset that DS has stopped napping. No more breaks from him omg. Pretty sure he's ransacking his room right now, but I just don't feel like dealing with it. Also, we're supposed to go to a baseball game with DH's family tonight, and DH just texted me that his mom said she gave me the tix last week. UMMMM, yeah, that never happened. This should work out well.

I think we will go for it :-) She loves the Ergo so she would probably fall asleep anyway. And a 1 PM game should be okay.
I think you meant to tag someone else besides me, but read your post and I'm sure you'd be fine! The only thing I'd be concerned about in July is LO getting too hot, but I know you would be prepared for that!
Audball just asked me for a diaper so she could poop. She won't poop on the potty despite peeing on it like a champ. We had 0 accidents on our trip.
How do I get my kid to poop on the potty?
Put a diaper on her, cut a hole out and put her on the toilet? I have no idea. SD took a little longer to poo on the potty, but that was so long ago.

I haven't read the thread (I know, bad), but I just got a text from my cousin, asking for my address.
I gave it to her and she replies "Thanks! Now I can send a graduation announcement with my return address so you know where to send my graduation gift!"

Was she joking?
No, totally serious.
She came to our grandmother's funeral with a prepared speech to give at the funeral. She hadn't spoken to my grandma in two years. She threw a fit that we said she couldn't give the speech.

She sounds delightful.
I hear Bible verses make great gifts for people like her.
-My son was born in April 2012. He pretty much rules.
God dammit, Craigslist, stop low balling me! I've been trying to sell this thing I won last year, it's brand new, like, I've never even taken it out of the box and people want it, but only want to pay a fraction of what it's worth, and it has a bunch of extra shit. I need these CL peeps to pay for my gym membership, lol.
I bought Hershey kisses as part of DS' teacher gifts for next week (his daycare is celebrating teacher appreciation week next week for some reason), so now I'm just shoveling in kisses like there's no tomorrow. I have a real problem.

see? It would just go on and on and on...
Also, my kid must pick her nose in her sleep. She woke up yesterday morning with blood all over her shirt. I was pretty freaked.
I gave it to her and she replies "Thanks! Now I can send a graduation announcement with my return address so you know where to send my graduation gift!"
