  How many weeks are you?
  38 weeks 3 days
  
  How far dilated (and effaced if you know)?
  Last appointment was Monday when I was 37 +5, I was 1cm and 50%effaced, hoping for progress on Wednesday!
  
  Are you having contractions?
  Nothing I can feel, but lots of period like cramps on a daily basis
  
  Other labor symptoms or signs that your body is gearing up yet?

  I'm 36w3d. My cervix doesn't play nice. I have a RCS scheduled for 39w1d and my doctor has so little faith in my body's ability (and motivation?) to initiate labor that she's not even planning to bother with cervical checks.   37 weeks and 1 cm dilated been having constant contractions but dr said that was due to a uti and the meds I have to take to clear it

  On Monday I was 38 weeks 3 days 3 cm and 80% not sure if I'm having contraction.

  38 weeks today. 1cm dilated, but I have no idea if I'm effaced, engaged etc. I have been 1cm for three weeks. Plenty of people go into labor without dilating( this is what I keep telling myself )
  
  Baby has been head down for a month. I have been feeling him dropping more these last couple of weeks.
  
  I have had mini contractions twice in the past week, but nothing too bad or frequent. Just lower backaches that move to period-like cramps very low front.
  
  It will happen sooner or later. Drs keep telling me to expect him late.

  3.5 cm dilated and 80% effaced since week 36. Now almost to wk 39 and no change. I've been told "any day now" for 3 wks! It's gettin' old.

  finally consented to a check this morning @ 38 weeks. No dilation, no effacement, zero labor signs. Le sigh.

  3 cm and 70% effaced and super soft from last week's fingertip dilated and high/tight. Progress right? I blame the nearly daily sexual activity.
  
  Currently 40w 1d STM.
  
  EDIT: contractions yes, mucus plug coming out over the last couple of weeks.
