when I was at the doctor last Tuesday,a woman parked in the expectant mother parking. Saw her on the pedi side of the waiting room with her ~5 month old (that she needed to put in a stroller with the carrier), and was walking her tiny self around just fine. Of course I got the only other spot, but you better believe I was all judgy while I waddled my huge contracting self in, while she got out of her car.
BFP 11/18/13. EDD 7/25/14. It's a BOY!

My new niece did not make her appearance today (I know she still could, but it's unlikely at this point). They already did a round of cervadil and pitocin. They're checking SIL for dilation and depending on that may have to do another round of everything. Then, if that doesn't work, they're sending her home. Apparently dr wanted to go ahead and induce because baby is +8 lbs (SIL is about 5' tall) and he doesn't think she's been compliant with her GD diet. I haven't had to deal with the diet thing (knock on wood), but how are you not compliant with it if that's what the doctor has told you to do for your health and the baby's?
My baby brother is at his junior prom right now and its making me super emotional... in a lot of ways, he's like my first born child, because he's so much younger than me, and seeing him hit these milestones makes me realize how time will fly with my own LO. It seems like just yesterday, I was holding and cuddling my newborn baby brother, and in a few short months, I'll be handing him his first nephew to hold and cuddle the same way. *insert waterfall of pregnant lady tears*
I live near Louisvile, KY, home of the Derby race. That means Louisvillians have spent the last two weeks getting "face to the floor" drunk, and it is all in celebration of a two minute race. I just don't understand the hype, although I do enjoy the Derby parties and their buffet amounts of food.
@symphony4586 Yes it is the same person! I know more info in the FFFC would have explained it all better, but I didn't want to take up so much space/time on it. It's stuff like this that she's chosen to do and/or not do that led to my feelings of "serves her right for not being able to do the home birth." Of course I hope she and the baby are safe, it's just ridiculous some of the things she says/plans for.
Ughhhh. We went to a comedy show tonight everyone was ordering drinks, and I said Im pregnant, can I just have a drink? Surprise me. So she brought orange cran juice mixed, which is fine... except she charged for a 'liquor drink'. I said whats going on it says liquor drink on the receipt and I didnt get alcohol. She said its because she had to ask the bar to make it for me so it cost more. Seriously? DH is a great tipper but they already included 20% and I wouldnt let him add any because thats BS. Someone else just got a soda and it was half what I paid. Lame. I didnt even really like the drink.
The Grizzlies lost. I hate Kevin Durant. Russell Westbrook can walk in front of a bus. The NBA can go jump off a cliff. Plus, my giant FWP is that now I'm bored until August when college football starts again.

While I can kind of understand the reasoning...it's still dumb and she should have told you that's how it would be before delivering the drink. I would have been pissed too.

I tried to be not pissed, then I realized the soda had grenedine in it... which im sure the bartender had to add. So it was technically a mixed drink too. BS.
My food confession of the week: tonight after I made dinner I couldn't decide if I wanted to bake the brownie mix we had in the pantry or the break and bake cookies in the fridge, so I mixed up the brownie mix put them in a pan and then put the cookie dough on top of it... and because at that point I already felt like a total fatty I drizzled some peanut butter on top of the whole thing before popping it in the oven.
SO doesn't seem to mind my crazy pregnancy food combinations for some reason....
This sounds like a dessert I make.
Muffin tin
Chocolate chip cookie dough in bottom.
Reese's cup on top of that.
Top with brownie batter.
Bake.
They are freaking fantastic.
I cried today because some a-hole flipped me off for no reason. I had slowed to make a left turn into Dunkin Donuts and left plenty of room for cars to go around me while I waited for traffic to clear on the other side. I always glance in my rear view mirror when I slow to turn and saw this middle aged guy flying up behind me and he flicks me off! It just made me so upset. If you're going to give me the finger, at least make sure I actually did something wrong! Geez.
So my moms neighbor who has become a second mom to me is moving to Ohio
While I'm SUPER sad about that, she is packing up her house and out of no where says she has a rocker and ottoman that have literally been sitting in a corner in one of her rooms for a year. Her son bought it as a gift but she never used it. SAME ONE I have strongly considered buying this time around, but haven't really wanted to splurge esp because I didn't have one with DS. Well she gave it to me so that I would think of her when LO gets here and I'm sitting in her chair with the baby. It was soooo sweet and I feel so blessed.
So now I'm sitting in the chair watching baby mama rocking DS lol. (It truly is a good investment, back and pelvic pain gone!) if you're on the fence about getting one, do it!
Lol I would so make that into a button and wear it IRL if I could. But I'm down with a badge if you all are! Sept someone with the skill and time would have to make them haha.
I just bough a robe/delivery gown for the hospital on Etsy. I'm planning to use it after delivery to feel more polished post partum. I'm really excited about this luxury. Here's hoping it turns out as great as I'm imagining.
I told DH that for mother's day I want:
1. A new robe
2. New slippers
3. New underwear-specifically hanky panky thongs. I love those things.
1 and 2 are for the hospital, 3 are just because. He went out yesterday "to run some errands." Hopefully he was successful.
Now that I'm done with school, I'm nesting full force. 95% of my clothes have been taken into the garage where they will be washed and either donated, put in a box until I'll fit them again, and the lucky ones can come back in the house. I don't know when or how I acquired this much clothing but I'm over it X_X
I sat at my desk this morning and cried for a solid 5 minutes. I blame pregnancy hormones.
Couldn't possibly have anything to do with a dream that I heard stbxh in the shower this morning and got up out of bed (in the dream) because I just wanted a kiss. Divorce sucks y'all.
@jensavicci. I have gone through 3 containers of cleaning wipes scrubbing down every single piece of furniture in the new place. Everything is filthy to me and my hands are chapped and raw from doing all of it.
I keep picturing LittleDude gnawing on stuff eventually and I can't have germs! I WON'T HAVE IT!
Not saying that cleaning is bad, but a little exposure to germs is inevitable. I like the gif though

I'm sorry. Big hugs your way. I went through a divorce too. It gets better.
Bleh! Chappy hands. Gosh that sounds miserable. Brom's obviously got a good mom getting ready for him Haha oh gosh the gnawing on everything is no fun. But I must warn out about the climbing too. Not just on you but on everything else. My DD used to climb our book shelf and I had a vase up there. SMH. I don't even like remembering what happened but I felt like the worst parent in the world for owning that vase. So, it's good to see how strongly you feel about keeping a tidy home for little Brom's sake.
I arranged to meet with a housecleaner on Wednesday. I'm so excited! I've been trying to talk DH into having someone in for about 4 years, but he never thought it was worth it when we were in an apartment. It took 5 months in the new house and 1 weekend of me away and him on his own with DS to finally agree that we could probably use someone to at least come in and get the "big stuff." And then it only took me another 4 months to call someone, but it's finally happening! Wednesday can't get here soon enough.
For those who have someone come in, how often do they come and what exactly do you have them focus on? Since this is a first for us, I don't know what I should prioritize and how often they realistically need to come. I know for me, focusing on the floors, dusting, bathrooms, and kitchen are tops, but am I missing something? Also, what would be an expected ballpark for $$? I know that varies by area, but I don't know where to start there either.
I suppose I could just post my own discussion about this, but I'd rather hear from you ladies first.
Am I crazy for wanting to throw a big backyard BBQ for Memorial Day in the third tri?
Are you guys doing anything special then?
I'm going on a weekend-long camping trip with a bunch of friends. While I will be passing on the yearly kayaking trip this time, I am still planning on going hiking and geocaching like normal. Pics should be really interesting this year!

My niece is here! SIL wanted a home water birth. Baby got to big and dr sent her to be induced Friday night. Water broke yesterday morning at 6:30. She finally progressed enough to push starting this evening at 6 and ended up with a csection just a few minutes ago. I know I said I was happy things weren't going her way in Friday's FFFC but geez! I hope none of us has to go through what she just went through.

What I've come away with:
Sex, bagels, bitches and cookie butter.
Also that you guys are funny as shit. I just wanted to make sure you knew that. Cause that's important to know.
ETA: LOL it would be funny if that were the J'14 motto. If you're rolling with sex, bagels, bitches and cookie butter, then you're Rollin with J'14.

Saw your new profile pic and was like ummm who is that lol. I'm gonna miss those trees.....
