DH is so cute. I came home from the doctor today and the tv was turned on to Hoarders, but he wasn't watching it. I heard him back in the quasi-nursery...I went back and he had gone on a mad cleaning spree! He cleared out most of the junk that has accumulated in there as we haven't used that room for much since we moved here last fall. He said Hoarders inspired him to clean because it was scary. Hahaha love that guy!

I just got a text (at 1 am) from a friend telling me all about how bored she is and asking if I want to go hang out at her place while her husband is at work tomorrow... which would only be a little more than mildy annoying if it wasn't from the fact the only reason anyone in her house has held down anything remotely resembling food for the past week is thanks to the miracle of Zofran.
I'm sure sitting around the house for that long is boring as hell but what makes you think I'd want to expose myself to whatever the hell is being passed around your house even if I wasn't pregnant?!?
She must be suffering the mental affects of cabin fever.
Am I crazy for wanting to throw a big backyard BBQ for Memorial Day in the third tri?
Are you guys doing anything special then?
I'm going on a weekend-long camping trip with a bunch of friends. While I will be passing on the yearly kayaking trip this time, I am still planning on going hiking and geocaching like normal. Pics should be really interesting this year!
-------------------
What is geocaching?
Geocaching is treasure hunting with a GPS. People post the coordinates to a stash of little trinkets, and you go looking for them. Its one of my favorite hobbies!
Guise. GUISE! I had a dream about this baby last night.
It was a beautiful chunky baby GIRL with blonde hair and blue eyes. The c-section was a breeze, recovery was awesome and my chunk was sweet snuggly and smelled so wonderful.
I almost cried when I woke up. I can't wait to meet this little guy or gal. Although, you know, keep baking in there kid. July is a much cooler month to have a birthday than May or June!
Our tax refund FINALLY came in, and I'm so excited to go shopping for Kyrstin! We've been budgeting and buying a little each paycheck, but it will be such a relief to be able to buy the rest of the bigger items we need/want for her (ie: carseat, swing, high-chair, fabric for the rest of her bedding & curtains, & nursery decor!)
I've been pretty MIA since DH got back because I was slammed with work and then we went on vacation... but I'm baaaAAAAaccck. Sitting at work... should be working... and instead I'm all "I need to catch up on TB!!"
ETA: Recently, a random guy said, "it looks like you've been eating a lot of watermelon seeds." I had no idea what he was talking about, but assumed it was a tall reference so I said I also ate lots of vegetables. Then, I looked at DH and asked "Watermelon seeds? That's a new one. What do watermelons have to do with being tall?" and he was like "He was referring to your belly." I don't think I can blame that one on pregnancy brain.

I had to re-read this several times. Is this supposed to by Kirsten, just spelled differently? Trying to figure out how to pronounce it while reading this and I keep getting stuck.

I was wondering the same. I'm like keer-stin? Ky-er-stin? I was just confused then moved along having come to no conclusion.
We like the spelling, and it works for us. I know everyone has different tastes in names & spellings, but ultimately what matters is that My fiance and I love the name and the spelling.

I don't think this is correct. While you don't have to care what us crazies on the internet think, parents really should put a little more thought into what the kid who will be stuck with the name for life is going to think ;-) Not that your name choice/spelling is particularly contemptible, but it drives me crazy when parents are all "all that matters is that I like the name!" Uh, no.
Oops, sorry for tagging the wrong person! I'm on mobile & clearly mis-read! I totally understand those who don't like 'different' or what they consider 'you-neek' names. Its your opinion & I'm good with that! I worked in daycare for years and and came across a lot of differently spelled names. Being a 'Lyndsi' instead of the usual 'Lindsay' hasn't ever bothered me, so I really don't think it will be an issue for our Kyrstin in the future.
Looks like we will be car shopping. Our insurance has said it will total my car. Waiting to hear back from the guy's insurance since I think we'll want to go through them for everything. Ugh...we just paid my car off! It was going to be so nice to have no car payments (
Maybe this should be a FFFC, but I just realized that I have a crush on the Stacee Jaxx Tom Cruise from Rock of Ages. But I don't really like regular Tom Cruise.
Regular Tom Cruise:
Meh:
Stacee Jaxx:
Be still my heart.
*Cue my whiney voice* But that movie was so awwwful! The stage performance is sooooo much better!
Levine needs to eat a cheeseburger. I like tatted guys, but not emaciated ones.
Yes to the emaciated looking dudes! Last night after E News whatever show is on after that (I don't pay attention, it just stays on whole I pick up DS's toys for the day), they were discussing actors who "beef up" and if they look better with or without all the muscle. They showed Bradley Cooper who recently put on about 40 lbs of muscle, Zac Efron, Hugh Jackman, and one other guy and they all said they liked them "leaner" looking aka scrawny. Um, no. Give me some extra muscle any day, thankyouverymuch.
1) all u wenches out there not getting my man AL's vision... He's an artist. Duh! See his vision.
2) 'bout to get my hair did! If this chick doesn't do something drastic with the color to keep me distracted from my overwhelming emotions I might just let ALLLLLL those overwhelming emotions out on her. I can feel it bubbling up.
I picked up my husband's car from the mechanic today. He told me pregnancy is really a test drive for better boobs, and to take pictures of them when I like them most so I can show the surgeon down the road.

Apparently it has come to an end as I've spent the night never letting my tums bottle out of my sight.
Crap.
The next 9 weeks are going to really suck.

A random lady on the elevator just said, "Oh looks like someone is due any day now!"
Cue Laser Stare and "Not til July!"
Awkward "Oh you're just all baby then! It doesn't have anywhere to go then!"
Followed by glare followed by awkward silence to floor 1!
