I wash everything from the cloth diapers to my clothes with Tide Ultra. Matter of fact I just got a box of baby clothes from a friend and she was all Just put them in the drawers they are ready to use. Umm she washes with some heavily scented soap that was giving me a headache. I plan on rewashing everything to get rid of the smell.

I just want to say how wonderful you ladies are. I joined the bump several months ago & tried to keep up with the different threads, but just started participating in discussions more the past week or so. The amount of support and kindness in this group is amazing (love the snarkiness/amusing posts as well). I've never before participated in an online group like this before, and I'm so glad my sweet SO upgraded my phone & data plan so I can participate more often
Am I the only one who has no motivation what-so-ever to wash all the baby clothes with special detergent. I kind of feel like if they're clean then it shouldn't matter... Then I feel like a horrible mother
I just use free and clear for all of our laundry! I was given a couple bottles of Dreft at my baby shower for DS and I think I finally just threw them out after a year or more.
Yeah so I was all gung ho to paint the nursery today. I got off early, signed the rest of the paperwork, did a few laps in the new place, wet wiped the counters...
I lug the paint can, rollers, frog tape, chalk line, level and tray in the nursery and then proceed to lay in the middle of the new carpet for 20 minutes because I totally forgot I'm 7 months pregnant and can't do a single thing anymore.
I'm just laying there staring at the ceiling and I notice the single glow in the dark star the previous tenants left there. I'll take that a sign to wait for DH to do absolutely everything while I finish growing his son.
Whoa....7 months. I definitely read your whole post but the 7 month thing stuck with me the most. Lol I'm still mind blown we're that far. Hahaha btw, carpet naps are the bed kind.
ETA: um no autocorrect, it is not the bed kind. It's the best kind.
First of all, lucky you for the good weather! It was nice today but it was miserable out yesterday. Lol I wore a winter outfit today thinking itd be just as bad. Nope. I'm a hot and sweaty mess.
And no worries Chica you'll get it done! Lol at least everything is in the room now. Step 1, complete But don't feel so bad. DW and I had full intentions of redoing out bedroom last January. No, not jan 2014. I'm talking 2013. The walls are half done with tape still on the top borders of our wall. Procrastination at its finest.
I'm all stressed out about going to work today... Yesterday, one of my best work buddies got accused of something really serious and was removed from the school. Not only will the atmosphere be really tense today, but I'm one of those people who gets upset when anyone around me gets in trouble, like sick to my stomach upset.
I had to return something at Wal-Mart and the lady ahead of me was returning 10 packages of diapers all different sizes. She said "none of these fit him! He's only in a size 1 right now!" .... ummmm babies grow. Granted maybe she needed the store credit for other things, or she didn't like the brands people had purchased. Either way she sounded like an idiot lol.
FWP vent: I really really really need a pedicure. I was possibly going to get one this weekend, but now with the contusion on my foot from that damn car accident it's out of the question. I'mma have to hunch myself over my almost 31 week pregnant belly and paint those things myself.

Was it determined to just be a contusion? I know you said they were sending x-rays to be looked at. I broke my foot last fall (stepped wrong off a brick pathway at our new home) and walked around on it for a week before I went to urgent care. They thought it was just a contusion of some sort, but then the radiologist that double checked it found a fracture. They couldn't believe I walked around for a week on it.
No, you should have made a special thread for it. His story is so inspiring. My heart still hurts for you, but I am so thrilled to see that he is thriving and putting up a fight. I hope to continue to see updates on him.
I just spent way too much time messing with my siggy. I hate HTML, but my slightly OCD nature demands that I fuss with it until I think it is perfect. And I still have to be make labor buddy badges for jessa and me. I fear I am going to end up with one of those insanely long signatures!

Hope you can get to those toes!
Yep, they called in the evening yesterday to say the radiologist confirmed no breaks. It feels a lot better today too. Not 100%, but not nearly as bad. I can't believe you made it a week either if it felt anything like mine was!
I know I shouldnt do this, but I logged into my registry to change the mattress we picked after looking at reviews. Someone bought our high chair. Im sort of feeling guilty about knowing this but Hurray! I have a high chair!
Last night I was shocked to discover in two weeks my cervix went from great to bed rest. I felt nothing so I was blindsighted by this. He wanted to take me out of work but I pleaded to try a week to see if I could stop it on modified bed rest. I cannot financially take going on DI 10 weeks before my due date. Sure everyone goes on bed rest and yada yada but WTH cervix... Fuck U!
@eadams08 Thanks so much for sharing. He is a strong and beautiful little boy, and I'm impressed with you and your husband for handling everything so well!
And I agree with @aliletz - work really gave you an ultimatum? What about FMLA?
I haven't been there long enough to qualify for FMLA and I had used all my leave time already. They were nice enough about it, but made it clear I didn't really have any other options. I got to leave in "good standing", so there is nothing against me or my teaching certificate.

That sucks! Maybe when you are ready to go back to work they will have a position open that you can apply for...
I've got two bachelorette parties to attend this month. I'm not sure if I should be concerned what the general public thinks of a pregnant lady bar hopping or on a taco and margarita cruise :S
Scary movie night: Kaiser's "How to Care for your Newborn." Graphic shots of huge nipples breast feeding and how to spread baby labia to clean during a diaper change have sufficiently ruined any chance of me getting laid tonight. Sorry, hubby. He's playing GTA now to clear his head.
@eadams08 First- he is beautiful! So glad he's doing so well. Thanks for linking your story. I'm looking forward to following his progress. Second- I can't believe your employer could give you that option at a time like this. Have you exhausted 12 weeks of FMLA already? I'm disgusted that this is how they respond to a situation like this. I'm glad you left, you don't deserve to work with heartless pricks.
Ugh! I took the glucose test two weeks ago and never heard back on the results, so I thought I passed. Well I had appts with my OB and HFM yesterday and we finally got to talk about it.
My 1 hr was 133 and my OB has a cut off of 140 so he said we were good, that's why they never called. My HFM, however; has a cut off of 130 based on other risk factors. She is having me do the three hour.
DH and I watched American Hustle last night. I don't know if it was the hype due to all the nominations it had or what but we were less than impressed. I think the last 30 minutes of the movie I was playing games on my phone.
DH and I felt the same way about it. It was fine, but certainly not oscar worthy.
My pregnancy has just reached diva status... A handicapped person parked in the expecting mother spot at the grocery store. And NONE of the handicap spots were occupied. Come on man! You get to be handicapped for the rest of your life, I only get to be expecting for 2 more months! Come on!

Thank you for sharing that! I loved reading it and seeing all the pics! I agree with having an SS thread.

The only thig that sucks is waking up choking on the reflux. Yuck!
