Some of my Knotties from my wedding month that live in MD/NoVA were planning a gtg this weekend and I have to miss... Have a wedding shower for my BFF that's getting married May 30 (I hosted her bigger shower back in March at our house) and my other BFF who's wedding is next Sat needs me to help her do stuff tonight (I'm her MOH).
FFC part: I really wanted and considered skipping the shower for the Knottie gtg... But then my other bride needed me.
Luckily another Knottie had to cancel too so I think we are rescheduling for later in the summer.
I'm a terrible mom. I still haven't gotten LOs birth certificate.
I concur with @sleepy33, this is not flameful. Mostly because she said so, and partly because I lit-rally just picked up our LO's birth certificate this morning when I was at the courthouse for a meeting.

ETA @MomtobeOct13 The county clerk said that 90% of parents don't pick theirs up until their kid starts kindergarten. Plus, they cost $15. LAME.
I can't wait to move LO to her own room now. I'm tired of trying to be as quiet as possible when I roll over in bed or try to talk to DH. We may move her this weekend.
PS, check back in a couple of weeks when I complain that I'm tired of going up and down the stairs when putting LO to sleep or when she randomly wakes up during the night.
Why is this flameful? My kid has been in his own room for months.
It seems like there are quite a few people who either cosleep or still have their LOs crib/PnP/RnP right next to their bed and say they are not looking forward to them moving out. Or people who love snuggles in the middle of the night.
Deft did this while pg. One of the grosser -is that a word?- experiences in my life... And I'm a MICU nurse so I see a lot of gross shit (both literally and figuratively).

Yep, ours came in the mail too. I just had to fill out paperwork and mail it in. We needed ours for daycare otherwise I'm not sure if I would have remembered.
On the same note... I didn't have a copy of my own birth certificate until I was 22 and moving out on my own. I don't remember why I needed it but I had to go down to the courthouse with my mom to get a copy.
My 4 yr old has an app called Minnie's bow maker, or something like that, and sometimes when everyone is asleep and I'm bored I will go on and make my own bows.
We were given a birth certificate from the hospital (which they lost prior to us leaving) and we were sent home with another one and the ink things to put dd's footprints on ourselves. Gee thanks.
Then they gave us a form to send to the state to get her official birth certificate.
FFFC: FIL just called out of the blue to check on us. Mind you we used to live 2 miles from him until 2 months ago and he never called. He said he knew I hate SMIL and I said I didn't hate her, I just was disappointed in her actions recently. I told him I wanted him happy and knew he wasn't happy with her. DH and I offer for him to live with is every time we talk to him.

Me too. I'm not even sure what we're supposed to do at this point...
Just got ours for travel. You can get it online or by mail but DH went to the board of health office or something like that and got a few copies. ETA: I think it was $15 for the first copy and $7 for each additional copy.
Franco Paul born 6/4/15 at 39 weeks. Mila Francesca born 10/19/13 at 37 weeks. Both born via C-Section after 6 years of fertility treatments, disappointments and losses. Love them!!
My lightswitch is motion activated and on the opposite wall of my office, apparently I am invisible because it keeps turning off. It is out of wheely chair range so I have accumulated a pile of promo stress balls that I chuck at the light to turn it back on.
@NRyan55 have you ever watched Better Off Ted? If not it's available on Amazon Prime. There's a hilarious episode about the lights not seeing employees that your story made me think of. I love that show! #nevershouldvebeencancelled
After almost 3 years of IF and a crazy roadside delivery, we are loving life with our second beautiful daughter!

We needed ours when we set up a life insurance type thing. You can take it out early for retirement too.

I would not be mad at my sister if she took my child for a special breakfast and spent some extra time with her.
I would be livid with my sister if she repeatedly fed my child crap we don't let her eat on a regular basis and then told her to lie to me about it.
We are a no secrets family. There is no "don't tell Mommy" or "don't tell Daddy". That's how bad things happen.
