Friday Free For All

hell, i don't know if i wrote that right.

so, last night i was sitting on the floor and Sage came over and kissed me.  Out of nowhere.  I felt so special until she went around kissing all her animals.

then, at bed time i tried to move her hand and she said "don't" with such authority.  when in the heck did she learn that word?  i want my baby back.

Same here!!! She just will not say it. No matter how many ways I phrase it or put it into a question.

Can you say love you mommy?
    Do you love mommy?
Can you say, "I love you?"
I love you, do you love me?

    hahaha none of those work.

  • Finn's favorite phrase is "I don't want to"  which he learned from his sister.  It usually comes out pretty garbled but he said it perfectly clearly yesterday.  He is going to be a fun 2 year old.  :-w

Bennett won't say "I Love You" either. I'll do the "I," "Love," "You" but he won't actually say the whole phrase. Drives me nuts and DH thinks it hilarious!

DD has started giving hugs. If I ask for a hug, she wraps her arms tightly around my neck and smushes her face up next to mine. Makes me melt every time.
DS pats your back now when he hugs me. I guess I do that too so that's where he got it from. It's so damn cute.

  • I'm sitting at work fuming at DH.  We have been planning to have an Open House at our house on Sunday 1-4 with our realtor.  I was planning on spending Saturday cleaning after swim lessons in the morning.  Yesterday I got a call from our realtor asking if he can show the house Saturday at 10 a.m..  I panicked because the house is a mess and DD has dance tonight so I wouldn't have time to clean for 10 a.m. Saturday.  I called DH and asked if he could help me get the cleaning done so I could give the realtor the ok.  He agreed.  Last night I ran around like an asshole after the kids went to bed cleaning everything while he sat on the couch staring at his phone and watching tv. I am so not good with confrontation with him.  So I'm sitting at work fuming.  I have more cleaning to do tonight and he better freaking pitch in.

Hannah says "Bye I love you!" and waves when H leaves to take her to daycare in the morning.

And she'll usually say it back if we initiate.

...but I am sure she doesn't "get it".

I probably would have grabbed his phone and chucked it, then completely ignored him the rest of the night. But I'm a bitch like that.

  • If I say I love you to DD and then say "tell mommy I love you"  She just blows me a kiss.

I'm a little worried about her talking.  She says a decent amount of words - she names everyone in the family, says ball, body parts, animals, bye bye, uh-uh, ready? (when we are playing) but her only really "phrases" are night-night, all done, all gone.    I'm worried she's not forming some small sentences yet.

  •   At the drs office there was a poster for bladder control on the back if the door. It showed a side view of a man and woman's body with a detail of the insides. It was just the hip area. So on the mans you see a penis hanging down. Ethan asked what it was. I asked him to guess and he did eventually. Dr comes in. Ethan: "Doctor doctor doctor! See this picture? It has a penis on it! Mama doesn't have a penis!" Haha.
    Hilarious!!

  • If I ask Ethan for kisses he starts smashing his face into mine which is pretty much like head-butting.  He's so rough.

DD's favorite is "Not nice, stop." And this past weekend, she learned the phrase "Excuse you." And of course she says it clear as a bell, lol.

OMG, I'd kill him. What is it with men and their phones? They can be so oblivious.

DD doesn't say sentences yet either. I think they have time.

G says no 2 word phrases yet. I'm just happy we are in the double digits for words....
  • Nola doesn't say sentences. She has some two word phrases ("get down" is a favorite) but other than that it's one word here and there.

I talked to my pediatrician about this at Nate's 18 month apt. He said his rule of thumb is a handful of words at 18 months, a few short (2 word) sentences at 2 and sentences at 3. Nate has just recently started saying some phrases. His favorites are 'no daddy' and 'no mom-mom(the name he's decided to call me instead of mama).

Nathan said his first 'love you' to DH at bedtime the other night. He'll say it when prompted, but you have to know what he's parroting back to really understand him. My favorite thing he does right now is he'll run over and hug my legs or run to me and give a huge hug, then go back to playing.

  • Tomorrow is suppose to be date day. It's also suppose to rain all day. We were planning on going to dinner and a movie. The movie DH wants to see is Captain America. Totally fine with me, but it's been out so long that it doesn't have many show times. It's really screwing me up as far as how to plan the day. Plus the rain...I don't want to be walking around Downtown Disney in heels and dress while it's raining. Blah.

We are getting chinese for dinner.  I'm so excited.  I can't tell you the last time I've had it.
    I am so jealous.

It is all that I have thought about all day.  And of course H decided this morning that he needs to start eating healthier.

    Damnit.

One of my friends that I am not that close with, just sexted me and included a picture!!! I wrote back that I appreciate the offer but she's really not my type. She is now mortified because she meant to send that to her boyfriend. His name is Jensen, I'm Jennie. Oops. This is why you always TRIPLE CHECK the name before sending nude pictures.
What was the picture of? What did it say? I nees all the details. I'm cracking up.
The picture is of her completely naked, laying on her bed. She's holding the phone near her face so you can see her boobs and everything else. Face not pictured. And the text says,"Want to cum over for dinner? You can have anything you want."

If there had been actual food in the picture, I might have accepted the invitation.
She must be so embarrassed. Do you see her in person ever? I probably would have deleted her text cause I'm a wimp but I love that you responded. So damn funny!

DD talks a lot, but so does DS, so I guess she is taking after him.

She's in an asking questions phase, too. Like, "Hey! What's that noise?!"

When MH came home from work, she heard the door & said,"Hey!! What's that daddy?!"

    She cracks me up.

And totally unrelated, I finally just updated my iPhone to iOS7 & I don't like it!!

Andy says a lot of words, and has a few 3 word sentences he says. But I know that he's quite advanced with his language skills, and know this next kid is probably going to be the opposite.

He has started telling us when he needs to go poop. He will point at his booty and say "poos", so we take him to the toilet but he freaks out, so we put him back in a diaper and then he shits. Any tips? We were going to wait until he was showing signs before we toilet trained him, but I'm guessing that him telling us he needs to shit is a pretty big sign. Help. I have no idea what I'm doing here.

Still waiting for this kid to make an appearance. Operation evacuation is set for Tuesday. Yay.

no advice but commiseration. We have a lot of pee and poo conversations around here lately. With the same result of an empty potty and immediately soiled diaper. I don't want to rush her but I also want to be responsive to what she's trying to tell me.

    good luck on Tuesday!!!
