Andy says a lot of words, and has a few 3 word sentences he says. But I know that he's quite advanced with his language skills, and know this next kid is probably going to be the opposite. He has started telling us when he needs to go poop. He will point at his booty and say "poos", so we take him to the toilet but he freaks out, so we put him back in a diaper and then he shits. Any tips? We were going to wait until he was showing signs before we toilet trained him, but I'm guessing that him telling us he needs to shit is a pretty big sign. Help. I have no idea what I'm doing here. Still waiting for this kid to make an appearance. Operation evacuation is set for Tuesday. Yay.
@MelsaX Have you tried offering  a reward or incentive for pooping on the toilet? If he doesn't care about that right now and just wants off, then try distraction. Buy a set of stickers and pull them out as soon as he sits and let him pull them off and stick them on his hands or a piece of paper..just get him to stay there an forget what's going on. A big thing to do is get him to kind of LEAN forward a little bit too, bc that will help it come out easier for him.

I've potty trained far too many children in my daycare days....doesn't mean Greylan is anywhere close though! Ha!

    Good luck!

Oh..and I am excited for the Cletus to join your family!!!!
