As annoying and time consuming as it was when I was pregnant, I actually miss all of the doctor's appointments. All of the nurses and doctors at my OB's office are so nice, and I loved hearing the baby's heartbeat and getting updates and stuff like that. We are still not sure about a second, so I don't know if I will get the experience again or not.
@steamboat1679 I think I love you. I hate all that too. It's not that I'm a Debbie Downer, I just find most of it to be trying too hard and fake and it bugs me to no end for some reason.
Alright. I'll give you this one. But lemon cookies are a pretty normal thing. I was thinking more of the watermelon, rice crispy treat, fruit punch, and cookie dough Oreos.
@tiffletons518 I was so pissed when I took a bite of the Red Velvet ice cream I had last night and found a nut! Looks like I need to buy a new half gallon for myself since DH will have to eat it now.
And here was my snack last night at 10:30. @cricket81 Birthday cake forevaaaa!
I don't get preppers. If the world gets so shitty that I need a to hide in an underground bunker to survive. Well I don't think I'm cut out for that.
H and I have had long discussions about what we would do if the world came down to that, but we've never actually "prepped" anything.
I figure if the world comes to an end and the only people who are left are the crazy "preppers" I don't want to survive. They just don't seem like my kind of peeps.
My uo-I'm not a fan Reese's pb cups or any pb cookies, I'll take dark chocolate any day though. My other(mostly aimed at my sis) getting burnt out on all the Luke Bryan ass memes. Yeah he's good looking, but everywhere on my fb and all my sister talks about is him shaking it.

I read this as "peppers". Like four times before I finally saw the "r". And I was trying to figure out what you had against all peppers and how living underground meant you were going to only be able to eat peppers...
Me too! I was like, but I love peppers. Sweet peppers, roasted red peppers, mmm...
@itsStackie I think it was you... I agree. I absolutely despise nuts in my desserts! I could live on desserts alone, but put a nut in it and I'm done.
Also, I dislike anything Boston Cream filled.
Ok, I actually have a UO I think there should be a waiting period of several days on gun purchases. I can't think of many good reasons where you need a gun the same day that doesn't result in bad things.
I know this is probably risky to agree with, but I feel the same. Yes, someone might have a valid reason for getting one the same day (maybe they are hunting and their rifle malfunctioned), but I think a short waiting period could possibly deter some crimes of passion. (Of course, those people could probably find another way of accomplishing their purpose, so maybe my reasoning isn't the best.)
I think stores that have expectant mother parking should also have close parking spaces for customers with small children. Nothing like having to park way in the back of a lot on a cold or rainy day and then walking with 2 small kids while an able-bodied young person sans kids and with a free hand to hold an umbrella snakes in and takes the one open close spot.
I don't understand expectant mother parking anyway. You're pregnant, not handicapped, and walking is really good for you, especially when you're pregnant.

I think we parked there maybe once when I was about 8mo pregnant, but other than that, we parked near the back or middle
I gave up all my magazine subscriptions and don't miss them a bit. One can truly have too many recipes and the internet has made my big collection of binders kind of pointless.

I disagree. I don't see these spots very often, but I would have used them at the end of my pregnancy when I had preeclampsia. I was basically on modified bed rest, but sometimes I needed to go shopping, and less walking would have been better since technically my doctor wouldn't have wanted me to go at all. If I had an uncomplicated pregnancy, I might have felt differently.
I only ever see these at baby stores anyway, where there are a bunch of other spots usually open. So I swear the stores just put them in to make pregnant moms feel "special."
Re: pregnant parking spots As someone who was in a huge amount of pain for the last month and a half of this pregnancy and had to wrangle a one year old, I needed those spots for grocery shopping. I could barely walk around the store let alone from way out in the parking lot!
I agree with providing educational opportunities to inmates. I understand that it is a large financial burden and those funds could go elsewhere but I think, overall, that it is a positive thing.
I think, if the purpose of incarceration is to hold someone accountable for their actions and have them learn and be better from their mistakes, we should give them every opportunity to make themselves better while they are serving time. If jail was treated more as a rehabilitation center and less like adult babysitting I think there would be a lot less repeat offenders...

Yes the "you're pregnant not handicapped argument" has been used. But, when I'm waddling around 8 months pregnant with two other kids in tow and trying to cart around a bunch of crap... you bet your sweet tush I used those spots

I think it depends on the where, what and whys. Low level drug offender who is in for a few years? Absolutely. Give them the opportunity and there is a good chance they can rise out of poverty and improve their lives.
That said, I know of violent offenders who are never going to see the outside of a prison system again who have been trained in trades. At that point it's just a waste of resources.
I think some of the prisons in Ontario are nicer then some of our hosptials. At least they all have air conditioning! I think it was @nolongerthebest that gave birth at a hospital with no AC.
Re: UO
@cricket81 No. Stop.
@itsstackie Yessssss!!
Oh my God. You're ACTUALLY killing me here.And here was my snack last night at 10:30. @cricket81 Birthday cake forevaaaa!
