Wtf, workout check in

I should be hustling into the shower, but instead I am posting because I can't move. I think I need CPR. Just completed my first real workout in 17 days. And of course I picked probably the most intense workout in my library, led by my asshole friend who had a six pack 6 months after having her first baby, so yeah. I could not keep up! I am scared to wake up and try to move tomorrow morning. Hopefully that means I burned a million calories. How is everyone doing this fine Monday morning?

Re: Wtf, workout check in

  • Walking on treadmill right now. I've been lazy and have hardly done anything for weeks. I need new inspiration. Thinking about getting a new DVD but I need something quick (like 30ds- 20 min) that gets really good results. I own 30ds but let a friend borrow it or else I'd just do that. Also, I'd just like something different
    Anyone? :)

  • E thwarted my workout plans this morning, but I'm definitely going to do something when I get home. I've done really well over the last week both with exercise and eating, and I'm motivated to keep it up. I'm also down another two pounds so that's an added little push for me.

  • I'm going to get in a workout tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday while DD is at school. I had a small gain last week and AF is going to show soon... Which means I will gain 2-3 lbs. Hoping to be down 15-20 lbs by my July vacation with DD :)
  • I'm struggling with week 4 of C25k. I think I'm running too fast and that's why I'm too out of breath to get through the 5 minute intervals. But, when I try to go slow, my form turns to shit. The fact it's already a million degrees outside isn't help

I'm restarting my T25 program tonight. This is the 3rd time I have started the program, and this time I hope to stick with it, no matter what. This is brought to you by the fact that DS asked me numerous times this weekend if I was having baby, or just fat :((

  • I did my T25 Rip't Circuit today! Woohoo! Its the least I could do to offset the binge eating I did at my FSILs bridal shower yesterday. Ugh.

Yes, I was going to check them out this week!

I also downloaded Lose It, like you recommended in the other thread.  I'm going to start using it after my appointment today since only then will I know how much I weigh (our old housekeeper broke our scale about 18 months ago and I haven't felt very motivated to replace it).
Have you looked on Craigslist? I have a few friends who have bought some used treadmills on there, and got them for great prices. Also, check with your local gyms. Our gym does a yard sale every year where they sell their used equiptment at a really good price.

  • I have PT today then after the y kid zone opens up I'll probably go lift or do a run. I'm pretty happy with my distance but meh on the time per mile. So maybe I'll work on that.

  • I made this for 2nd dinner last night. Today I decided that I was going to work out for the first time since I got pregnant. It is hard to believe that I have only gained 2 lbs in the last 4 months...

  • I have been eating horrible lately, so I need to amp up my exercise. I attempted running today but ran home due to a tornado warning. I did see a new boot camp at my gym I will be signing up for soon.

  • I am f-ing starving tonight, am essentially out of calories. I want to eat my whole house

  • today was meh.  i did an hour of yoga, during which i sweating 32 gallons of sweat.  i only recently started sweating like that these past couple of classes, so maybe i'm subconsciously trying harder?  i love me some yoga though, i should attend more classes throughout the week.

i also ran a half mile afterwards at 5.0 on the treadmill.  I tried going farther but my breathing was out of control.  I did a mile last week but that was at 4.5, i'm going to try to work back up to that mile at 5.0 this week.

    no strength training today :(

however long the night, dawn will break.

Eat. If you are hungry, there is a reason.

I managed to get in a bench workout tonight. I'm having issues with my rotator cuff and I have a nasty case of cellulitis in my left hand, so it was entertaining to say the least. Way down in weight, but lots of reps. Finger and shoulder both feeling a bit better after. Win win.

I had cellulitis in my foot a few years ago and it was the worst pain I've ever endured. I would rather give birth med free than get that shit again.
  • Oh mine was bad. At one point I wished my foot fell off. It could have been much worse for me because it was on my club foot so not a healthy foot to begin with.
  • Ick. Mine stopped going up my arm at the wrist, so at least there's that. I thought I was going to end up having to go to the ER for IV meds.

I was 10 weeks pregnant and all I could take was Tylenol. It went halfway up my shin.

Ugh, you poor things. I had chronic cornea abrasions. The pain each time it would flare was unbearable. Then I had it 'corrected' while I was pregnant, which was 10x more painful healing than anything I'd ever experienced. I, too, could only take Tyelnol. Why do our bodies gotta not act right?

  • INORITE?! Every time I get sore in that area I immediately panic. At first it just feels like a sore muscle and then hours later Bam! It feels like your muscle tissue is burning away.

I've never heard of this. What is this?
  • Nice job @pobrecita! I could have slept in slightly later today because I have a conference, so of course I was up and at em as soon as the alarm went off without snoozing. Why on the days when I have no wiggle room I can't drag myself out of bed? Oh well. Workout #2 of the week complete. I will be feeling it in my back and arms tomorrow

  • M and I worked out last night. We did this workout her track coaches sent out. It honestly wasn't very challenging, so I'll probably make some small changes next time. This morning I slept later than I meant to so I just did a quick 10 minute circuit from an app I just downloaded called Sworkit. I think I want to do some yoga this evening.

    BabyFruit Ticker
  • I did t-25 total body circuit today too @sgrray929! It was my first day and I did the majority of the modified and still was sweating my ass off.
  • I didn't end up working out last night, just did some stretches. I got up this morning and did 20 minutes of circuit training on Sworkit. M and I will do her track workout again tonight, at her request. Her practices have been rained out all week and she has a meet Sunday, so it's the least I can do to help her prepare. I'm also pretty excited she asked to do it since I usually have to be the one to initiate.

  • @sgrray929 DO IT! You'll feel so good when you're done!

Can you share what you find @pobrecita‌? I can't go more than 3 miles on the treadmill or elliptical without getting bored.

  • Today was my first day working out in a week (besides walks with LO) because I had a nerve block in my shoulder last week and the injection site was sore for a few days. The good thing is my overall soreness in my shoulder has gone from a 5 to a 3 so maybe this treatment will finally get me back to normal and I can lift like I was before.

Thanks, @PeanutButterFox‌ - I saw your comment, closed my laptop and got it in. Even threw in an extra ab workout. Is it bad that I showered, changed directly into pajamas, and now feel like I deserve a glass of wine?

  • I tried Sworkit today and I like it. It's perfect for the shitty weather days when I can't get out and run.
  • I've been doing the stairstepper once a week. Holy balls, is that tough.

  • @missyishere‌ , like the stairmill? That is probably one of the things I miss the most about actually going to a gym. That thing kicks your ass, and you can just zone out and go, because it is not like you can cheat.

Yes! I went sideways on it, too to work other muscles.  That requires a little more attention, though.

  • Definitely do it @pobrecita, it's really cool. The only thing I don't like is the yoga. I need an instructor talking me through the moves and Sworkit doesn't give me that. But for cardio, strength moves, and stretching it's awesome.

  • Nice work @missyishere!  Does your gym have a Jacob's Ladder?  That's another kick-ass machine for cardio.

I did my fourth workout in 4 days today.  I am nice and sore this week after getting back into it after vacay.  Unexpected soreness:  having to build back up my calluses.  My poor hands are so tender it hurts to dry them on a towel.  DH is having the same issues.
