My big smiley moment last week was finding out that my friend who lost triplets last summer is expecting again. This time it's a singleton, and I'm so hopeful for her that this is her take-home baby.
My new blender makes me smile. I got a Ninja because I was too cheap to get a Vitamix and I'm impressed with it. I want to blend all the things!
Also, I discovered a fisherman's co-op in my area and we went to it yesterday for the first time. OMG. The fish was so fresh and we actually got a discount because it was Sunday night and they were getting rid of everything from the weekend. I'll definitely be going again. If it's that good on Sunday night, I can't imagine was it tastes like when they first bring in the catch.
IMMS that M was baptized yesterday. It was the best baptism I remember. The church was decorated with Easter flowers and we sat in a circle around the baptismal font. The priest was very baby-friendly. (We once attended an infant baptism where the deacon gave a sermon that went on forever and 14 babies were there.)
We had over 30 guests come to our house to celebrate. My mom and I made everything except for the fried chicken. This was my first big event where I served a full meal to a crowd.

I am determined to pamper my feet this summer. So, I made an appointment for a pedi on Friday, which got moved to today because the gal who was supposed to do it got sick.
It makes me smile that we had our first potty training success this weekend. Although it was also a failure. Right after her bath, E told us that she needed to go potty. So I took off her Albert and took her to the bathroom. She kicked me out, peed on the floor, then slipped on it. Poor baby! But the important thing is, she knew she needed to pee, and she told us she needed to pee! We told her that we were very proud of her for telling us, and maybe next time she could try to pee pee IN the potty.
I never thought I would be proud of my kid for peeing on the floor.

I had a triplet loss as well. How far along was she? GLad she is getting her rainbow!
IMMS that DS1 has been paci-free for a month and his teeth seem to be shifting and are less "Paci-buck".
We went to the zoo on Friday and it started to rain. The look of shock and delight on my daughter's face when the rain hit it was awesome. She thought it was the funniest thing.
My mmsm is that last week little girl has started to lean towards our face when she wants kisses. At least at is what we think she is doing. Now she is opening her mouth as she leans towards up, like a baby open mouth kiss! She is only five months and this may not be what is actually going on, but It makes me HAPPY!
I have another. This makes me cry and smile at the same time. This week is an anniversary of sorts.
Over ten years ago (before we met), my in-laws took my husband to the ER against his wishes. If they had waited any longer, he would have died. His entire body was shutting down. Expert surgeons worked all night, repairing what they could and removing what they couldn't. The recovery was rough. Physical and emotional scars remain.
But he survived, thanks to a team of dedicated doctors and nurses. And I'm holding our precious son who wouldn't exist without them.

I just finished a BIG project at work! Woo hoo!! More bump time. Seriously though it's been stressing me out big time. So it's amazing to have that monkey off my back.
DS2 has started wanting to pick out his next clean diaper and help me put the dirty into the wetbag. Seriously so cute. So far his fav seems to be a plain red Sweet Pea cover. Go figure.
We took DS1 clothes shopping this weekend to get some summer pjs and a few more shorts/shirts for summer. He's now wearing size 10/12. Holy moley, how did he get that big? Anyway everything he picked out was "grown up" prints except one Minecraft t-shirt. I was so proud that it wasn't all TV/cartoon character themed.
We officially closed on our house this morning and are starting to move stuff in today! We're giving ourselves 3 days to move out then in and clean up our current rental. So looking forward to spending this summer enjoying our big backyard instead of a NICU or hospital room!

The great cloth diaper change on Saturday made me smile. It was so great talking to irl cloth moms and seeing all the cute fluff. Imms that little man is starting to pay loads of attention to his hands since we started baby sign language. Now he likes to lift and wave his hand at nothing in particular like he is saying bye bye. One more, little man is obsessed with peas and when I fed him peas for lunch yesterday I started to sign more after the first bite and he couldn't wait and dive bombed the bowl and attempted to shovel all the pea puree in his mouth it was hilarious.
It makes me happy that I got another payment for my student loans taken care of finally through the Military. Hooray, one more big chunk taken care of!!
I have a love hate relationship with my son's sleeping habits. He took several naps this weekend in the crib, which I like.
But he has not successfully slept in his own bed the whole night. He always ends up in mine. Which I love the baby snuggles and he falls back to sleep very quickly with me. However, I want my bed back.

I have another too. Yesterday I was feeling physically crappy with basic third trimester everything and about halfway through the day I realized that I was so caught up in my "ugh" that I hadn't been paying attention to whether or not M was moving around and I couldn't remember if I had felt her at all that day. And, of course, at that moment she was probably sleeping and not moving a bit. So I gave her about a 1/2 hour and then pushed my her and my belly all around. I probably woke her up and pissed her off because after a few shoves, she started kicking my hand every single time I poked her. She did it 3 or 4 times in different places. It was hilarious. And then last night she paid me back by keeping me awake with her calisthenics for an hour and a half.
@Mapleme I was so busy yesterday I forgot to notice her too. So I did the same thing. On the drive home I kept poking at her. At first she was just moving enough to avoid my pokes, then she started getting even. Today she's punching my sciatic nerve. Touché sweetheart, touché.

SIL is currently in the hospital about to give birth to her baby girl! Hannah's going to be a big cousin and they will only be 8.5 months apart.. they will be best friends!
IMMS that this afternoon when DS2 took an epic poop not a drop of it leaked out of his CD. He hadn't pooped in 4 days (he is EBF) so I knew it was going to be a big one when he went. I'd like to see a sposie handle that!
IMMS that we took DS on an 'adventure' on Saturday and he seriously loved every minute of it! We took the train from our house into London to meet some friends at the adventure playground at the Olympic Park...it was great. Then, IMMS that DS was just so lovely with our friends' son, G (who is a few weeks younger but has CP), helping him to play in the sand, waiting for G's parents to help G on the slide and every time G did something fun (sliding, swinging) DS would shout WOOHOO G! :-bd
Ohhh! This just melts my heart! I taught kids with special needs for a long time, and it always made me so happy when the other kids just "got" how to be supportive and friendly rather than obnoxious about differences.
IMMS that while DH is out of town for work, neither he or DS sleep well. After just 3 months, we are a unit. I'll take the few nights of restless sleep.

That sounds like an awesome day! We were talking just the other day of heading up there ourselves sometime as the weather gets nicer.

@freezorburn it was awesome, the playground is massive! The huge wobbly bridge was a big hit with DS. Apparently, it can get pretty crowded though, so I would say trying to go on a weekday might actually be better - since it was supposed to rain Saturday it was relatively quiet until lunchtime-ish.
We took ds swimming this weekend!! It was awesome and he loved it! It was at a local indoor pool and I was pleasantly surprised at the amenities. An ocean entrance, a lazy river, pouring buckets, the shooting up water things, a slide, and even a lap pool for adults!
