Nope, not even when camping. I have only camped 2 or 3 times in my life and always with a bathroom available (and if I never went again it would be too soon). Otherwise I can't say I have ever peed outside except possibly when I was potty training (although knowing my mother not even then).
Sure, usually camping, though, but also hiking, at the beach, probably anywhere where trees are much more prolific than restrooms. I've never done it in full view, though, always in the bushes. To me that's NBD, I'm probably peeing right on top of an animal's pee anyway.
It is a regular occurrence while tailgating. We find a good spot, get a couple guys to block us and squat. You cannot convince me that is grosser than a port-o-potty
If we're on a road trip I find a random bathroom (fast food place or whatever) and I loath hiking and camping. Can't stand them! And the only time I had to pee that badly was in the middle of New Brunswick, where cops most definitely do give tickets for that.
I'm not really an outdoorsie person at all beyond a cocktail on the patio. Not boring, just not someone who hangs out in the woods!
I don't see how you can make it through life never having peed outside. Or your life is super boring. No road trips? A hike? Camping? The random drunk pee? Like I said in the other thread I think it's a skill everyone needs.
I completely agree. Plus, gas station bathrooms? Hell no. I'll pee in the bushes, nice and clean, and be on my way.
I haven't used a gas station bathroom in probably five years. I pee outside on a regular basis. There is absolutely nothing wrong with peeling outside.
I most definitely have. When I was pregnant with my first I commuted two hours (one way) to college. There was this long stretch where there was absolutely nothing. I stopped more than once to pee in the bushes, despite having stopped at the last convenient store. Growing up, we all peed outside at some point during the helluva long drives to see the scenery my parents tortured us with. And then there's the camping and hiking, etc. Also, our family cabin only has an old-fashioned wooden outhouse for peeing and pooping. Fun times...
Of course. Never drunk (as far as I know) but I've done my fair share of sober peeing both while camping/hiking/etc and not. If you haven't, you haven't fully lived
Maybe this is part of why I hate outdoor activities so much. It never occurred to me that going outside was an option and I've spent many times at outdoor activities ready to cry I had to pee so bad.
So many times! My sister and I even peed in an ally in Tijuana once. Also, I know it's technically camping, but I spent 52 days backpacking in Utah. So I've done a lot of peeing in nature.

How about Portland draining that reservoir because one guy peed in it? Craziest thing ever.
Even I thought that was a complete waste and overreaction. What worried me about that story was how easily accessed the reservoir was and the potential that someone could use it to poison the population. But that tiny amount of pee in that huge reservoir? Eh.
Yep. Never drunk but camping for sure. In college I stayed with my grandmother at her country home and she worked nights. She had a hot tub outside and I'd soak in it during the evenings while she was working and just hop out and pee in the grass instead of going inside. I didn't want to dry off and the ac was on and cold haha
Not since I was a little kid. I grew up on a farm so working in the middle of nowhere with no toilets was a common occurrence. DD has once when we were hiking in the mountains and she couldn't make it back to town. It was a PITA. I don't see having my kids do it unless it is an emergency.
Oh yes! I peed in the lake last week when we were out on the boat! It was either pee on myself or off the side of the boat! Thankfully no other boats were around!
I went to college in the mountains, so there were a lot of wooded areas. We used to go to a lot of forest parties and would have to pee in the woods there.
Yes. One road trip to visit a friend post-kids, I had to pee soooo bad. I pulled over off the interstate & peed by the stop sign & then re-entered the interstate. I had 1 sleeping kid and no rest stops between me and home.
In ND, the park bathrooms are locked until Memorial Weekend or so too. My girls have peed outside more than once (a year usually) in early spring. I also know several places on my typical run route to cop a squat.
A couple times, but I definitely don't make a habit of it and its not something I enjoy doing. I would absolutely use a fast food bathroom before pulling over to pee on the side of the road.
Funniest time was at a mardi gras parade while I was pregnant. I had to go, no idea where the port-a-potties were so I went slightly into the woods. Well I couldn't get up. I was stuck calling for my friend to come help me up. Now that is a friend
Yes, but not on a drunk night. My college roommate once squatted in a parking lot and all of a sudden a police cruiser that was parked there turned a ginormous spotlight on her bare ass. It made me scared to ever try something similar.
I pee outside if I'm camping, obviously, or on a long hike or an all-day horseback ride.
It's weird to me that people haven't...while camping, hiking, of course in the ocean and the bay; our boat holding tank fills up fast yo. And ya know, sometimes, when you gotta go, you gotta go, and there's not always an easy way to get off a freeway or whatever to get to a bathroom.
I also remember being confused when I was little as to why I was allowed to pee in the ocean but not poop haha.
