I'm bloated not pregnant

On Friday I was in the copy room making copies after work.  A co-worker from a different department that I hardly ever see came in and we started making small talk.  In the middle of us talking she blurted out, "Are you pregnant?!"  I said no, to which she responded, "Oh, well you have a bump and youre so rail thin everywhere else, and it's about that time where you would be getting pregnant.  I said, "No, I'm just bloated."    She laughed but didn't apologize for anything! Ugh, I really really dislike Progesterone inserts and their side effects.  No, I'm not pregnant, but I look like I am, and I am hormonally off balance.  Let's just say I went shopping over the weekend for non-form fitting shirts!!
Me:30 (anovulatory and mild endometriosis)   DH: 33 No issues
Married 7/15/12
Began TTC 3/2013
First appointment with RE 7/2013
8/2013 benched w/ cyst
9/2013 100mg clomid w/ menopur/cancelled due to 15+ foll.
10/2013 25 mg. clomid w/trigger shot/2 foll. canceled IUI
11/2013 benched w/cyst
12/2013 25 mg. clomid w/trigger shot and IUI 3 foll. BFN
1/2014 25 mg. clomid w/ trigger shot and IUI 2 foll. BFN
2/2014 took off-too emotionally drained
3/2014 25 mg. clomid w/ trigger shot and IUI 2 foll. BFN
4/2014 injectibles w/ trigger and prog. inserts  2 foll. BFP!!!

    Me: +35 DH: +35
    TTC: Since January 2013 
    DX: PCOS. Severe Endometriosis, Unicornuate Uterus w/only left tube and left ovary, Pedunculated fibroid (on the outside of uterus) and Anovulation. All conditions diagnosed 8/13
    TX: Metformin
    DH DX: MFI - low morphology, low motility
    Ultrasound shows both kidneys in spite of UU. 
    HSG showed clear tube on the left side. 
    Lap Surgery performed 1/9/14 to remove fibroid and endo (Stage 3)
    • IUI# 1 June 2014 started 100 mg of Clomid - 7dpiui Progesterone: 13: BFN
    • IUI#2  July 2014 started 100 mg of Clomid - 7dpiui Progesterone: 5.75: BFN
    • Natural Cycle - so shocked to be in 2WW - 7dpo Progesterone: 15.5: BFN
    • Working with new RE starting injectables in late August.
    • IUI #3 August 2014  w/ Menopur: BFN
    • Finally ovulating on my own!!
    Waiting to start IVF hopefully

    @NariaDreaming‌ too funny. I have a chubby girl who gets asked is she pregnant a lot and now she just says "No, I'm just fat." The looks on people's faces are priceless.
    Me: +35 DH: +35
    TTC: Since January 2013

    How rude! I always keep my mouth shit too just in case they aren't. I would be mortified if I said something and that woman wasn't pregnant!

    This happened to me too. I had just gotten my BFN from my second IVF cycle and had developed severe OHSS. I am a teacher and was on the playground moving some equipment during recess and one of the much older teachers from a grade up (so didn't know me too well) said 'oh honey don't pick that up you're pregnant' i looked around and was like huh. Then realized she was talking to me. I wanted to hate her and hate life. I went home and cried. The next day I treated myself to a pedicure and the asian lady asked when I was due. I was ready to down the nearest bottle of acetone and or jump off a bridge right then and there. Ugh! So sorry :/

    TTC#1 since Sept. 2011
    March 2012-June 2012 - IUI's- BFN

    Sept 2012= IVF #1- 14 eggs, 9 fert, no frosties. 2 blasts 5dt=BFN
    Oct/Nov 2012= IVF #2- 20 eggs, 14 fert, no frosties. 2 blasts transferred despite mild OHSS=BFN
    Nov 2012= hubby got transferred, moving to new state, time for a break until summer!
    Feb 2013= Natural BFP!! Valentine's day surprise! 
    Mar 2013= m/c @ 7.5 weeks :(

    *New RE*
    July 2013= ER for a freeze all cycle. 21 eggs, 9 fert, freeze all day 1.
    Lab is closed in August! (Of course!) 
    Sept 2013= FET #1 - transferred 3 not so great quality day 3 embies=BFN
    Oct 2013= FET #2- transferred 4! 3 good, 1 poor= BFP! On hubby's birthday :)
    Started bleeding at 5w5d. ER trip confirms one gest sac, one yolk sac, no fetal pole. 6w u/s showed nothing. Levels drop from 4,500 to 250. 
    Nov.2013=meet with RE to discuss where to go from here.
           *Tests showed PCOS-ish. High testosterone. Start Metformin 1500 mg.
    February 2014- CLomid, IUI, Trigger. 4 juicy and ripe follies (24,25, 28 and 34!) 111 million post wash sperm count. BFFN!!!! WTH?
    March 2014- Over my RE. Year of fun for us and looking into RMANJ.

    That is really rude. They really were clueless and should have apologized.

    I'm built like I have a small baby bump. Can't even count how many times if been asked how far along I am by total strangers. Once I had a guy think I had a C section scar because I have a permanent crease naturally in that area. I've even had to convince a customer once I wasn't pg. They didn't believe me no matter what I said.

    Wow! I can't believe she didn't even apologize. I'm honestly afraid I'm going to start getting similar comments at work this month. I'm super bloated and just hope they keep it to themselves.

    People are SO STUPID! Someone who points out a possible baby bump and doesn't apologize when you correct them -- deserves a punch in the face. Sorry you had to deal with that!

    I had someone ask me if I was pregnant (during IVF #3) and the "Nope just fat" comment didn't phase her.  I felt bad for the lady that overheard the conversation, she tried to "fix" what the other lady said and reassure me that I wasn't fat. 

    I'm sure this lady wasn't the only one wondering since I had gained 40lbs in 6 months, but seriously who asks that?

    Sorry OP people suck.

    September 2012: Start IF testing

    DH (32): SA is ok, slightly low morph, normal SCSA  Me (32): Slightly low progesterone, hostile CM, carrier for CF, Moderately high NKC, High TNFa, heterozyogous mutated Factor XIII, and +APA

    October 2012-May 2014: 4 failed IUIs, 3 failed IVFs, and 1 failed FETw/donor embryos

    November 2014: IVF w/ICSI #4 Agonist/Antagonist with EPP and Prednisone, Baby Aspirin, Lovenox, and IVIG for immune issues.  Converted to freeze all due to lining issues.  2 blasts frozen on day 6!

    January 2015: FET #2 Cancelled due to lining issues

    April 2015: FET #2.1

    I am sorry!  I work at a daycare.....babies are everywhere...and I carry stress weight right around the middle.  

    I think I get asked when I am due about once a week.   My favorite was when someone asked if I was sure when I told them I wasn't pregnant.

    5/14 successful lapriscopic myomectomy via power morcellation
    as of 7/14.....not so patiently waiting
    poss IUI/IVF fall 2014      BIG Surprise BFP Aug 2014!

    Oh my god! I would have said something really not nice probably. What the hell is wrong with people?!

    Trying to have baby #1 since April 2013

    DH SA March,May 2014 - Low motility and shape issues. On vitamins per RE to help

    Me testing April 3, 2014 - FSH and LH good, HSG showed blocked right tube

    April 29, 2014 - First RE appt., right tube needs to be removed and possibly left also if

    it's bad too. RE suggests going straight to IVF

    June 4, 2014 - LAP/HSC and unexpected endo. removed but tubes got to stay!

    June 13, 2014 - Post-Op appointment. We decide where to go next since main issue

    is MFI influenced. Trying naturally until decision... Repeat SA  in September. Aiming for IUI #1 November 2014.

    @Calindi - Have you been able to find stretchy pants that aren't workout pants or grandma pants? 

    I've had to resort to wearing my pants unbuttoned with a rubber band around the button, through the loop and back around the button.

    Ugh how freaking annoying!  That sucks, i'm so sorry.  It seems like most of us can relate.  Years ago I had a co-worker argue with me about whether I was pregnant.  She was like are you sure your not?  I said yep pretty sure.  She said well you look pregnant.... I said do you know how rude that is?  Even her friends were embarrassed.
    One time I had a patient ask me when I was due.  I said i'm not pregnant, and his girl friend elbowed him and mumbled something.  His cover up was well your married right?  I said well i'm going through a long drug out divorce but thanks for asking.  Ugh people should just mind there own.

    7/13 2nd cycle on Clomid 50 mg, Metformin, Follistim, and Ovidrel 1st IUI - BFN

    @calindi - I've considered buying stock in leggings, but then I will want to buy cute flats to go with the leggings and I'll need longer shirts.  Ugh.  I'm honestly just considering going to the thrift store to see if I can find some decent pants where I can breathe.  I hate spending a ton of money on things I don't know if I'll need/use as much as I should.

    That said, I do LOVE my stretchy pants and long shirts.  When I started medicated cycles, I got a care package from my Mom (she lives 1000 miles away) with loose fitting and stretchy clothes.  She's the best :-)

    @candacec1020 about stretchy pants that don't like casual...I always loved the sweats-that-look-like-trousers at New York & Company. They come in work-appropriate patterns like tweed, plaid and herringbone. Now my waist measurement is too big for my height so I stopped getting them.

    OP - There are at least 3 times as much clothes in boxes in the basement as I have hanging in my closet, and the only things left are loose. I wear A-line dresses to work about 80% of the time, and got rid of all slim fitting tops just as you did! Of course this is just due to Crohn's bloating and steroids belly expansion...so who knows how bad it will get after starting IF meds.
