I finally caught up, I've been so busy I haven't opened this thread since Thursday. DH is at a bachelor party out of town all weekend and I'm a bitter Betty. I'm just jotting all these fun weekends of his down. When I'm done BF he's gonna owe me big.
@kames12 I know it sounds kind of whacky, but DH actually had really good luck getting acupuncture for his allergies. Might be something to look into.
Stupid stupid spring snow. My crazy ass tried to rig up a tarp over my poor tulips last night to try to save them and it is totally not working. Picture me in my jammies going outside every hour to try to knock heavy wet snow off my plants
@subliminalrabbit maybe you should invest in a video monitor so you can check on him from afar and not wake him up?
Oh, we have one. But with his weird temperature regulation issues, I like to touch his face and make sure he's okay.
----- If your dr thinks the low temps are his way of fighting off infection, then his body is doing what it's supposed to and you might as well leave him be, right? You only need to treat a fever if the baby is uncomfortable and if they were sleeping comfortably with a fever, there's no need to wake them up. Just trying to save you and LO some sleep!
16 more! Out for dinner with the festival board last night - I ate and drank all the things! Now I really need to actually watch what I put on my mouth if I want to lose the rest of my baby weight.
DH said he would get home at a good time today after being at his friends bachelor party. He just woke up and has a 4 hour drive we have different definitions of "a good time". I am exhausted from a weekend alone with LO, and if I find out DH went to a strip club he will be sleeping outside [-X
I lurk on the May board since J was born mid-May. Their talks on getting rid of the bottle and transitioning to WCM seriously stresses me out! J is still taking 6 bottles a day!
DH and I had a really nice anniversary night out. We went to a fancy eat in theater where they have reserved seating and a fancy menu. DH had the shrimp Mac n cheese and I had the salmon with a pomegranate mojito. Plus I got chocolate cake for dessert. It was yummy! We saw Captain America. It was pretty good. It was nice just being out with him alone.
I'm another one worried about the switch to WCM. I so need to be done BF by the time LO is 1 if I have to pack up that damn pump when we go to Mexico for vacation I will scream. LO does great self feeding and drinking from his straw sippy but only when there is water in it. I've tried to put milk in it and he won't touch it. So my question is will you be warming the milk? I don't see him taking it cold since he's used to warm BM.
@HeartLikeMine3 - I'm so there with you! I will not be pumping after KJ's first birthday. Are you sure it's the temp? Will he drink cold milk from a bottle? KJ doesn't care what temp it is. I think I will start trying to keep the BM cold from now on just to get her used to it.
@CL8badB I'm more nervous about the food part because he literally chokes on every thing I give him. I know that's normal and to be expected but it freaks me out.
@lioness13, he refuses his BM if its not warm so I'm guessing that's why he's refusing the WCM. Or he just doesn't like it, I really hate to start warming it because that will be a PITA to keep up with.
@CL8badB, that is a great idea with the almond milk I'll try that this week. He's only 10.5 months so I just want him to have an oz or 2 a day just to get used to the taste. I have months of frozen BM but LO has picky taste buds and he will only accept the frozen milk within a months date lol. I am about to throw away tons, so much hard work out the window (
