DH can't sleep unless the room is cool. He always cracks a window, even if it's 0 out! Obviously we need to keep baby girl warmer so he's been sleeping in the spare room, but we both miss him sleeping in our room! Baby is in a RNP next to my side of the bed, and with the window open even just a crack, I worry there will be a draft since the RNP is low to the ground. Ideally I'd love to move her to her crib in the nursery next to our room, but last night I tried and it didn't go well (I'll keep trying). Any other suggestions? I can't be the only one with this problem, lol!

Re: If baby sleeps in your room - do you have this problem?
DD born 9/15/12
DS due 3/6/14
You know I was thinking about that! Does that seem weird though?! lol! I mean, it's not like she's going to jump out....I don't know! I feel like crib = nurser, RNP = next to my bed. But I might try it
tonight.

Or try daytime sleeps in the crib, again to make it more familiar!
Everyone is giving advice about moving LO to the other room.
If you're not ready for that, try dressing LO more warmly.
When I find my bedroom cool I put a hat on LO along with an extra layer of clothing and an extra (yup) blanket.
(**I don't use swaddles or sleep sacs. )
He sleeps right near the floor vent.
If you ARE ready to move LO, I'd do daytime rest/play, then daytime naps.
I put LO in the crib while I'm tidying or putting away laundry or bathing DS1.
He has slept there for a few naps as well.
We will be switching DS1 to his new room with big bed in a few weeks. At that time, DS2 will move to the crib.
Good luck.
I put a blanket down in the RnP then put LO on top and he had a blanket over his legs. The blanket under him cut back on the draft that he would of felt. I just made sure it was big enough to hang over the edge.
I hope I described this enough to make sense.
