My shower is coming up on May 4 and the item that I would LOVE to get is the changing table that matches our crib. I doubt anyone will get it, but I'm hoping we can scrounge up gift cards and pay the difference.
Not had my shower yet, but I would really like to get lots of cute clothes for Noah. I'm hoping people will pick out some cute ones... because there are too many to choose from and it's overwhelming to me. Plus I feel kinda bad indulging myself in clothes for him when there are other necessities we need to buy...
My SIL bought the crib bedding set I wanted. I registered for it but didn't expect anyone to get it cause it was kind of pricey and I wasn't going to buy it since it's not a neccesity. But it's soooo cute!
I'm not sure what I'd pick for C. We had extremely generous family and they bought all the big ticket items, which was a huge help. Other than the financial relief of not having to buy those items ourselves, I think my fave gift was the A&A blankets that we got. I used them for summer swaddles, nursing covers, car seat covers...all sorts of things.
My sister is throwing me a sprinkle for Charlie, and the only thing I want is cloth diaper supplies, so hopefully we'll get a bunch of that stuff! Shower's not til May.
I pretty much only got clothes at my shower. My mom gave us a Seahawks onesie. Other than that my aunt have my a ton of formula. I'm so grateful for it, never know if my milk will come in or breast feeding will work.
With my shower for DD I didn't get any big ticket items, just a lot of clothes, blankets, and wash clothes. We did get enough $ in gift cards/returns to purchase the infant seat though which was wonderful.
Not having a shower for Pipsqueak but, my favorite gift to myself is the Phil & Teds stroller with second seat that I scored off of craisglist. I consider it a "gift" because it's something I never thought I'd be able to afford if I had to buy it new.
Our shower isn't for another 3 weeks, but I'm very very excited to see the blanket my Mom is making. The registry gift I'm most excited about is the Graco Modes stroller! We are also getting a cradle my grandpa made himself when my sister was born. Something I'm looking forward to seeing passed down the family ❤️ So hard to choose one favorite!
Besides the sentimental things (handmade baby blankets, the baptismal outfits my MIL is making out of her wedding dress) I was so happy to get this beautiful thing right here:
Mostly because there's no way in hell this frugal mama would have shelled out six hundo for it!
My grandma is knitting baby Will a hat, booties and a baby blanket- we will use these for his newborn pics:) so excited!! My shower is next weekend and I am so excited to see everyone!!!
I have to admit that I have checked the registry and was so excited to see someone bought us our glider!! I cannot wait to rock the baby in it! Shower is 4/26 so we'll see if that's still my favorite after the shower.
My shower is next week and I really want the rocking chair I picked out. When I had my first I wanted one so bad I just never made it around to getting it but hopefully someone does a good deed!!
I forgot to add I have already gotten the Mammaroo as a gift which is so cool -that may end up being my favorite gift that we asked for- hubby can't wait to hook up his iPod to it so the baby can jam to the 80's immediately...
My shower was today and it was amazing! My favorite gift was a blanket from my best friend. It was the last blanket her grandmother had made for her before she passed away. She had an ectopic pregnancy last year and I was there through it all with her. She said that she wanted Charlie and I to cherish it, and I certainly will.
June '14 September Siggy challenge- Favorite things about fall
I got this series of 9 board books that are adult classic books, written for children- I have never seen them before, and they look so awesome! Here's the link for "Wuthering Heights!"

Our shower was today! I have a couple of favorites. My mom hand made us a bunch of burp clothes and blankets, hand made crocheted blanket in buffalo sabres colors from a friend, Mamaroo from my aunt and DH's grandma is in the process of crocheting a blanket as well!
I found this awesome group on FB that sells high quality used baby items (from a super high class neighborhood to boot!) and I keep buying things off my own registry! **face blush** But so far my favorite thing is a shabby chic white wooden high chair I got for $40! So if the one I registered for gets purchased I guess I'll have $120 Target credit... Is that horrible of me...? Yeah, maybe a little Shower is this weekend.
My favorite baby gifts have been the quilts my grandma made each of the boys. Sadly she passed before thanksgiving last year and right after we shared the news that we were expecting again. Baby girl is going to inherit the quilt my grandmother had made me when I was a baby.
I haven't gotten these yet, but these are handmade for me by one of my closest friends since Junior High. She is out of state and my ONLY close friend with kids, I wish all the time we lived closer. (I was her Maid of Honor and DH and I are Godparents to her youngest daughter Violet.)
She knows I have ZERO skills like this, stalked my Pinterest, asked me some color questions and I'm sure she is still making things since she finished these so quickly!
Homemade gifts mean a lot to me. I am told my Mother is doing something really special, but no one is spilling the beans on what it is, and my closest guy friends' Aunt is making me a quilt. I want everything on my registries but I get a little teary when people near and far want to spend time making something for LO.
My shower is in two weeks but SIL gave us Friday a hand crocheted blanket that I love. I'm also looking forward to the quilt my grandma is making for our little fella.
This is #3 so I didnt/don't expect to get a lot of gifts, but we have received a couple already. My FAVORITE is this adorable, hand-knit diaper cover that has a bunny tail on the back with a matching hand-knit hat with bunny ears. So tiny, so cute, gender-neutral...can't wait to have newborn photos taken with it.
Ok so I looked at my registry today and no one has bought anything off my list yet and my shower is Saturday!! Maybe I won't have a favorite to pick from!!

I am having the same problem. It Is very frustrating because I only put things on the registry we needed and not a bunch of clothes or toys and I have a feeling I'm going to end up with a bunch of clothes. We are team green and cloth diapering so I was really hoping we'd get more cloth diaper stuff. Guess we will see.
For the shower I had with DD my MIL gave me the bassinet that she used with DH and sewed a new cover for it. We rarely used it but it's very sentimental!
No shower this time around, but MIL is buying us our stroller (City Select by Baby Jogger) and FIL gave us a crib. It's nice to have the big ticket items taken care of!
After 3 failed Clomid+TI cycles, DD was conceived with IUI#1
It's a war with myself to not sneak a peak at my "purchased" section on my registry. One more week!
You have some serious self control. I have none. X_X
Me neither! I regularly stalk my registries, but I do at least stay off the "thank you" section of Amazon so I don't know who bought what.
My shower is this upcoming Sunday and I'm excited for what my sisters will give! They're both knitters and I can't wait to see what they each put together for Lil Rooster.

This could be a maybe, but for a friend's baby shower, I found one of her items that she'd registered for at BRU for seriously half the price on Amazon, so I bought it there and tried to find a way to mark it as bought on her BRU registry, but couldn't.
Also, I'm sometimes a super last minute shopper and will stop on my way to the shower to buy a gift...
Basically, don't fret yet, people have probably bought stuff and just didn't tell the cashier, etc.
