What are your celebrity connections?

I went to the same Jr High as K-Fed (though I don't know how - we are about the same age and it was a fairly small school. How did I not know of him??)

Hall of famer for the Raiders, Willie Brown, was doing a fund raiser for my high school (a bunch of football players came and did charity basketball games). I had a big German Shephard guide dog in training at the time and Willie wanted him as a pet, I he didn't become a guide. His home phone number sat on out telephone desk until the dog graduated.

A bunch of other 49er's, Rams and Raisers and Broncos met my guide dog puppies at the events over the 3 years the games happened. I wish I could remember the name of the giant Super Bowl ring wearing fools who were either scared spitless of my goldenretriever puppies or squealed like 12 year old girls when my dogs have them "huggies" (putting paws on hips for a hug).

John Elway was not interested in my dogs (sob).

Guy Fieri is a local. He dragged his younger son away from my dog at a 4th of July event (kid wanted to pet) and almost ran my husband over in his yellow lambo in the mini golf parking lot.

Rob and Chad Lowe's aunt is a good friend of my moms. She talks a lot about how spoiled her grandnieces and nephews are.

ETA Oh yeah! My boss was featured on Modern Marvels on the History Channel for his egg business.

Not super popular shows. One was on the History Channel, the other on the Discovery Channel and they were only one-episode appearances

Producers are always calling him about being on shows, though, but he says he didn't really enjoy it, so he's been turning them down....much to my chagrin, 'cause I love bragging about him being on tv!

When Fuel was big (about ten years ago), they played at my college. We waited outside their tour bus after the show. When they finally came out, my friend who wasn't as familiar with them, went up to their lead singer and asked if he knew Fuel. We still laugh at this. We ended up getting a picture with him and met the band members. We also met Lifehouse and Our Lady Peace this way.

I met him in Nashville at a big festival. He was very nice. It was when "Grace like rain" was a huge hit. He walked over to an empty side stage, sat down, took out a Sharpie & started signing for everyone. Tons of people started lining up & he was also taking pictures with the kids. He was very nice. And his bare feet were solid black. Lol.

I won backstage passes to a concert & my friend told the lead singer "I like your video will all the water." He said, "I like that one too but it's not our video." We have laughed about that for years now.

@Skeemer‌ I was very good friends with a close friend of Ayiesha Woods in college.

On the topic of Christian people, not necessarily a musician, but a former close friend of mine Evangelist Uche.

I forgot to mention in my earlier post that my best friends sister is marrying an Andretti as in the racing legends this summer. BF and I met him first and set him up with the sister cuz we are pretty much awesome like that.

The Movie Steel Magnolias was based off my childhood friend and my Sunday School teacher was Ouiser Boudreaux.

I went to Baylor so several of my friends were high school friends with Jessica Simpson and I meet her at few times. Football fans I meet Robert Griffin III

When I was in grad school I worked part time as a personal stylist at Nordstrom so I styled several local celebrities and their families (Dallas Cowboys, Mavericks, and Rangers).

Wanna hear something ridiculous? I keep thinking of celebrities I have met and then remembering, no... that was on tv. Example: "I watched Brad Pitt take a selfie once. Oh wait... no, that was on the Oscars." It's pretty instantaneous that I remember it didn't happen, but doesn't make me feel less stupid.

I was in a Campfire Boys and Girls commercial with a former Dallas Cowboy player when I was 9.

In HS I met and talked briefly with Steven Baldwin at a concert for visiting HS students linked to the Presidential inauguration.

When I was 21 I worked at a coffee shop in Butte, MT when Evel Knievel died and after the funeral Matthew McConaughey came in and I made him a drink. He saw (on my name badge) that my home town was Dallas and he talked to me about how different MT is from TX and asked if I missed TX. He was nice... he tipped me $10 for a $4 coffee

my friend and I were picked out of the crowd to have front row seats at a Counting Crow concert (live opened)

we hung out with live & the crows afterwards at a strip bar (we were college students, NOT strippers lol, they just wanted to go there). It was pretty cool til adam duritz tried to get my friend to sleep with him & we left

Jeremy Renner attended the community college I go to. I met Kirk Cameron once because Tim Lehaye (author of the left behind series) funded the small bible school I went to and he wanted a tour. I went to high school with Colin Kaepernick (49ers fans?)

Mandy Moore was on the same flight home from Cabo as me and she was ten people ahead of us in line at customs for 2+ hours.

That's about it, haha.

ETA: dot Marie jones (coach Bieste from Glee) is from the small town I live in and I met her once at a 5k and again at a restaurant we have, her and SO both had injured legs so they were chatting for a minute.

Met Kevin Bacon's son, Travis at a hardcore show. Didn't tell him I'm in love with his dad. Two degrees!!! Woohoo!!!
Sir Mix-a-lot spilled a drink on me and wiped my leg with a towel, then tried to convince me to dance.
Got asked if I wanted blow by a member of the Dandy Warhols. Said no. He wrote me a sonnet on a napkin instead. Nice guy.
Touched GWEN STEFANI'S thumb. Highlight of my life!!!!

I saw Nick Saban once, but that's the closest I have gotten to a celebrity. @zarkarella‌, I've just assumed all this time that's the university you work for. Am I right?

Boring life around here and I'm not as good as @Skeemer‌ at getting backstage.

Although, I have been to a few of those same shows.

I hear Ludacris is supposed to be coming to town; I think to our local university. Maybe I should try to get in to see him so I can be cool like you guys (even though I have no clue who he is lol).

I've got a decent list...

1. Went to North Springs High School at the same time as Usher. Took Home Econ. with Verron Haynes, who played for the Steelers and the Falcons.

2. Transferred to Dunwoody- Ryan Seacrest's alma mater - never met him though..

3. 99-2000-Went to school in NYC and worked at Anthropologie in SoHo. Hung out with Britney Spears bodyguard for a good hour and then she briefly talked to me . Also saw Samuel L Jackson, Sheryl Crow and Ryder Strong there.

4. 2004- Athens, GA- I asked Michael Stipe (REM) if he had a cigarette I could bum - mid sentence I realized who I was talking to- he said no... he rolls his own

5. 2007- My friends wife was on American Idol-made it to the top 6, Carly Smithson, the tattooed girl.

6. 2005- I had a brief hookup with a guy in Mastodon- metal band

7. 2011 - ATL- Literally ran into T Boz (TLC) at a Hobby Lobby turning an aisle corner.

8. Currently- Emeril lives in my Dad's neighborhood in FL. He lives on a golf course and sometimes when we used to get drunk, we'd drive the golf cart behind his house and yell "BAM!" There's literally 40 ft between the golf cart path and his back doors. HA! I've run into him at a few restaurants and he buys Publix meatballs all the time

9. Right before announcing our pregnancy in January, we met Jack Hanna and hung out with him for a LONG time. Google "wedding in penguin enclosure at Seaworld." That's my sister in law. And my MIL is the one that looks like a penguin that officiated. Jack Hanna was doing a show there that weekend and he LOVED that they had met in Antarctica. He even invited all of us to stay at his ranch in Montana.

10. Oh, remember Pedro Zamora from the Real World? I met his husband Shawn at a restaurant in ATL

11. ALMOST FORGOT! Candi from Real Housewives of ATL showed up at my rehearsal for my wedding! There was a helicopter pad on top of the space and she apparently flew into downtown for a date or something. Ha! She rode the elevator down with us

I feel like I have more- but I'm blanking...

1. My BF's sister was a musician dater- she was with Dave Navarro before Carmen Electra and she lived with Rachel Bolan from Skid Row for years...

2. Daniel Boone is my 6th Great Grand Uncle

3. Tyson Ritter (All American Rejects) lived about a mile from my house in FL and hang out with my friends all of the time- he even went on our groups annual tubing trip in 2012.

4. my other BF used to date Taylor Hicks.

5. My mother and I starred in a Tide commercial in 1983. Babysitters used to recognize me

I'm related to Daniel Boone, too! Apparently we're related through his wife's side of the family. My dad did a bunch of genealogical research, but I have no idea what happened to it.

Nate Navarro, bassist from cobra starship was really good friends with my neighbor in high school and dated one of my friends.

Spencer Peterson, drummer for hidden in plane view also went to my high school and I had classes with his sister.

I was friends with Ashli from real world Australia in high school.

I know BJ Penn and his family. Hilo is a small town and I dated a good friend of his. He was actually a pall bearer at my ex boyfriends brother's funeral.

I mixed paint for Jason Scott lee when I worked at Hilo Home Depot. He played mowgli in the jungle book.

I've met Sam Chou and a view pro surfers and body boarders also. And I've seen dog the bounty hunters son Leland at Honolulu Home Depot. Lots of famous people go to hawaii

Technically I've met Kevin Bacon, but I did'nt get to talk to him. He was just like 5 feet away from me. So if that counts I'm 1 degree, but if we just go by the music video I was in I'm 5 degrees

And another couple I forgot: Tom Izzo lives a few blocks from my parents, he's nice. And I've met the 'Aliens' guy and chatted with him for a bit.
