I plan on BFing DD for as long as possible - 18 months minimum. The thought of not doing it anymore depresses me also. We plan on taking her to a different Children's hospital for a second opinion this spring and I worry (as I have with every new specialist we meet) that they will suggest that something in my breast milk is causing her issues. When they took her from me when she was 2 days old and put her in the special care unit, they made her fast - unnecessarily, it turned out, and told me that I could keep nursing for the time being, but there was a good chance she had galactosemia and I would have to stop. Then, her results were wonky because they made her fast, and they made me think that was my fault, too. "Well, you can BF for now..." Since the genetic testing was negative and there is nothing wrong with the structure of her liver, what if it is me?
I may have a bit of PTSD from this 9 month long nightmare...
A Curtis confession. While browsing imgur he saw these and then stated "I wouldn't mind having something like this. I hate the way it feels when I wear my normal socks with my sandals."
I mean, why not just wear your sandals without socks, like they're suppose to be worn....
I was such a geek in HS I wore toe socks with flip flops.
@ChrissieMeas how about this; I needed to use the restroom but crazy lady from last week was going at the same time and I didn't feel like making small talk or even being in the same room as her so I kept walking right past the restroom to the elevator so I could go to another floors restroom. I farted while in the elevator since I was alone. Then I chuckled to myself because I thought of the next person to use it. I don't think it smelled but still funny.
The previous office building my company was located in had bathrooms outside the security doors for our floor. Women from other floors used to come use our bathroom because it was always so clean (there aren't a lot of women using the restroom at an engineering firm). I used to get irrationally pissed off at women for coming to poop in our restroom. Our new office is on full lock down, so I only have to share the restroom with 4 other women. The bad thing about that? We all know exactly who enters and exits the restroom when we are in there.

There's a private bathroom next to our office at the end of the hall and I'm convinced ppl go out of their way to poop in there and it pisses me off SO MUCH. Also, you would think that grown men, who are sober, could pee without getting it on the seat, or at least LIFT the seat, but no. I work in an office full of "real estate professionals" and our bathroom is nastier then a bar bathroom. I really want to get a special lock on the one by my office and only let a select few have keys....
Also, I must confess on the topic of dairy, I use heavy whipping cream for everything instead of milk. My coffee could be a meal it's so thick, yum. But I don't use sugar, so I'm good, right? And WTF is fat free half &half??? I just don't understand. Wouldn't it just be skim milk?
@elyse05 I LOVE heavy whipping cream! It's so loaded with fat, though, that I don't use it every day. If we have any around for special occasions (we make our own whipped cream) I totally drink some straight from the carton.
I live near a Carter's outlet and go there almost every week. I tell myself it's just to see what's out and not to buy anything but I ALWAYS buy something. I have a problem.

Ah! I'm so tempted to do the same! I used to live literally 5 minutes' walk from one so every Saturday DD and I would stroller there. I still go when I can, but it's probably best for my budget that we moved.
J13 May Siggy Challenge: People lacking in common sense raise my blood pressure.
I am a cold blooded killer.
I got home today and there were ants EVERYWHERE on our kitchen floor. It was SO GROSS.
I put some water in a bucket and drowned every. single. ant.
No mercy.
The exterminator is coming tomorrow.
When I was a kid...my friends and I would catch ants...put them in a bottle of water...and shake it. Not sure what our goal was...
My FFFC: I'm sooo sick of these pyramid themed businesses that a couple if my friends on Facebook are involved in. Sometimes "get a real job" goes thru my mind. :-/
Seriously tho, it's spam in my book. It's also just a way to try and squeeze money from friends. I'm sick of seeing the posts.

I started cooking dinner then had to rescue some hysterical babies...some feeding and nap jail time later, I walked back into the kitchen a few minutes ago and realized I'd left a pot going on the stove. Thankfully I caught it before all the water boiled away (there was 1/2 inch left). #:-S

Oh, God. So so much this. If you wanna invite me to a marketing party, it's cool. Just be sure to extend some invitations to regular parties, too.
@Altima80 a friend of mine started an I hate Herbalife group on FB. I joined because its crap and a total pyramid scheme. People that were my "friends" on FB then unfriended me after I joined. They are brainwashed!

Ugh, one of my friends does Herbalife too. It's such a crock. They are being investigated by the FTC too.
What really irks me about the other friend doing another "business" is she'll post stuff like "thanks for all of your support in helping me reach my goal to become executive blah blah blah." I'm thinking, don't you thank people for support if you ask for donations for a cause or something. If this is a "business", you don't try and beg people for "support" or beg them to become a "preferred customer" or some sh*t like that. I read a blog from someone who got sucked into a pyramid scheme and she was told to make every other post about the businesses and post about how great it is for her life and if it isn't that great yet then she was supposed to "fake it till you make it." Ugh and back to my friend, she posted sh*t like "hard work + success = living the dream" or something like that. I'm sorry but posting on facebook isn't "hard work". Again....get a real job....
What really gets my goat (haha, I just said that...) is that these two friends of mine involved in this are good people and it makes me upset that they are sucked in to this. I thought they were better than that....

My dumb cousin got involved in some insurance company pyramid scheme and kept trying to sell everyone in my family life insurance. This was a step up from when she was climbing through my grandmother's bathroom window to steal her prescription meds so...ok I guess? :-??
I dont like basketball. I havent been able to get into college sports. Although my NC family is very entertaining this time of year There are a few Duke fans, a few UNC, and a few NC State.
I "sell" Mary Kay. Which means every six months or so, I place one order to stock up on the things I, my mom, and grandma use. Then "sell" it to them for exactly what I paid for it.
I'm pretty sure the person in charge of my group or whatever hates me. She probably makes maybe $50 on me.
because it didn't fucking snow enough for me to build my own
The big thing for all of my friends is R+F. I am so, so sick of people I haven't talked to since high school all of a sudden taking such an interest in my life and "wanting to share this exciting opportunity with me!!!!111!!!!"

Lol it's all good. I love my cats! Super elated right now.
Why am I so dense to not know you are a u of l fan
Because I went to Indiana University. UofL is my second team since my mom, brother, sister, husband, and brother-in-law all went there. My mom and father-in-law work there.
@ncchnat - IU my husbands family is from Indiana - I hear a lot about IU and Purdue.

Being from IN, I know many Purdue folks as well. I lived in West Lafayette while DH was in grad school.
We lived 2 blocks from Chauncey. I loved me some Den Pops and still miss the roadhouse fries from Jakes
Your from IN? How'd I not know that?? I grew up in NW IN, Merrillville .. Do you and dh ever go back for football games?
@NKF312 - I have been to NW IN a lot - visiting husbands family. @NKaeding - I didn't know you were from Indiana. What part?
Are either of you notre dame fans?
Not a Notre Dame fan.. But my stepmom and her family are fans.. You?
@NKF312, I actually root for Purdue (unless they're playing IU, of course.)
My mom went to IU, but her parents and all her siblings (except the uncle who went to the AF Academy) went to Purdue. My dad also went to IU, but he had two brothers graduate from Purdue, so it's a fun family rivalry.
I actually cheer for everyone in the Big Ten except Ohio State and I would cheer for them, but when I was there with the marching band when IU played them, we were treated horribly: had beer poured over our heads, had people trying to rip instruments out of our hands, and we had to have a security escort anytime we needed to go to the bathroom. It wasn't the OSU students either, but grown "adults" who felt the need to show how classy they could be.
I have some cousins at IU now.. We like to give them a hard time now that I don't live in the area anymore if Purdue isn't doing well ill root for the other big 10 teams too
i am such a lightweight.... half of a margarita and i am DRUNK! this is crazy.. i need to drink more clearly!
@Karebear6978 a margarita sounds great! Did you get your assignments done? I'm 3/4 through and about to call it a night. Especially since I'm now in "nap jail."
