So Sloan has gone 3 hours and is still sleeping soundly! Yay although I wish it was more the next stretch but we will take it. Husband has the next feed so I'm relaxing in the bath then bed .

After a rough evening, LO is mostly asleep in the boppy. I changed her out of her fleece jammies and put her in a lightweight onsie and swaddle and gave her a bottle, so far it's done the trick. I'm just waiting for her to fall into a deeper sleep so I can move her to her crib and go to bed myself.

Not even close to going to bed. I worked until 10, didn't get home til 1030, ate a little, nursed LO, and now he's not even pretending to be sleepy.

I am once again pumping while DH feeds LO a bottle. I am hoping he falls asleep so I can sleep once I am done pumping...however he is looking wide awake. Las night was a rough night for sleep and I am hoping we don't have a repeat. It has been a long day emotionally and I really just want a decent block of sleep.

Im afraid to go to sleep. I was able to pump 20 ml of breastmilk so I gave that to Jaxon and then 2oz of formula right after that.
Well he spit up for the first time and now I'm paranoid that he is gonna choke in his sleep or something

it seemed like a lot of spit up and I don't understand why

Taking a nice bath and getting myself tired enough to hopefully sleep for a few hours before the constant need to pee. I was supposed to go for a walk tonight but i have too much going on at the office to give birth already.

He won't choke. They have the ability to turn their head slightly and it will run out of his mouth. There's quite often a wet spot under my dudes head when he's been napping/playing on his activity mat.
He may just be a spilly baby (mine is too). Some of them are, there's nothing you are doing wrong, some are just more spilly than others

I finished pumping and am finally getting around to reading the hospital booklets they gave us about newborns. LO is sleeping for the time being, so I will be too shortly!

Up keeping LO happy until she's ready to sleep. She's had another grumpy, burpy, spitty day. I really think the pedi was too quick to call her facial rash baby acne and I still say she was insane to claim her spitup is due to overeating. Today was really rough (my never-cry baby cried a lot) and tonight she had blood in her stool and is congested. Her symptoms point to a food allergy, but or course my mommy fears are running rampant. I'm worried sick about her.

I'm up. I changed and fed lo at 12 but for some CRAZY reason I can't fall back asleep. I'm so sleep deprived, I think I've hit that over exhaustion thing my baby goes through.

LO is sleeping. Debating whether to stay up until her next feeding or get some rest. DH and I got into a huge argument tonight before he left for work and I'm feeling super inadequate as a wife and mother right now. On a positive note, at least I have a baby to snuggle.

Nursing LO who is wide awake; I'm very sleepy and it doesn't look like we are going to bed anytime soon

Something miraculous happened today though; the baby, my toddler, and I all took a glorious, TWO HOUR nap!!!! It was so refreshing, but unlikely to ever happen again.

Present. Up nursing. Latching was easy on my inverted side (been using breast shells to help) so that makes me happy. DS went 4 hours (I only slept 1.5 of those though :-/) and was still out but I woke him for booby relief and hopes of getting another long stretch instead of that being the only one.

Just woke up for our first feed of the night... we decided to start giving him more before bed in hopes he would go a little longer between feeds. No dice. He downed six ounces at 9 and was still up at 11:45, except he was fussy as hell and didn't want to take the bottle even though he was acting like he was starving. Now its almost two houra later, he barely ate and is fighting sleep hard.

Its going to be a long night.

@Laura8388‌ dealing with some of the same issues with my DH too. He had gotten close to quitting plus cutting way back on drinking too, then fil passed away in Dec and he has been like a chimney and picked up drinking more than I would like at least again.

good luck convincing him to quit! DH had said not that long ago that once LO was born he would stop smoking, but that hasn't happened.

This time after childbirth I'm all jacked up down there. I'm still bleeding 1 month PP and am sick of it, my stitches itch, and I have internal hemorrhoids which make it painful every time I have a bowel movement. I just want to be healed!

Here! Just finished nursing and LO is alseep on my chest. I'm afraid to move her into her RNP in the bedroom, so Im debating just sleeping this next stretch in the recliner. About to check out Netfleix. I'm getting a lot more movies watched, thats for sure!

LO woke up at 1:30a and now she's up again. I'm trying my best to make her sleep in her bassinet tonight but if she keeps waking up this frequently I'm going to give up and put her in bed with me. Ugh. I'm tired.

Hi guys! This is my first night bumping since LO arrived. It's our second night home, and I'm not sure how to get her to sleep at night! She's sleeping on me right now, in the recliner. Hopefully she'll feed again before too long, then I'll attempt the basinet again. We'll see... Do you guys put LO down right after feeding, or hold them until they're already asleep?

Up, waiting for Matthew to keep stirring more so we can do a diaper change and then feed.

I'm dealing with a shitty latch situation. And potentially a growth spurt or supply problem or both. M has spent more time at the breast today at each feeding, and then at our last feed (about 2.5-3 hours ago) he flipped the fuck out when he woke up after he dozed off on the boob. Like, made DH cry he was screaming bloody murder so bad. So we supplemented and he only needed 25ml to calm down and fall asleep.

I was trying to wait til at least two weeks to start pumping, but I think I'm setting that bad boy up tomorrow. And I've been watching videos and reading about trying to fix this shallow latch.

Love reading about all the middle of the night newborn activity! It brings back memories. I am up timing contractions. So far they are about 9 mins apart but mild. I hope this is it but I am getting nervous because we live 1.5 hours away from the hospital.

Well this is the longest stretch E has had since we have been home and I didn't even get to sleep because DH has kept waking me up.
Naturally I am pissed at him and he thinks I am over reacting... Umm haven't slept in days and she finally sleeps and you suck DH!!

I am hoping after this feeding she sleeps another 3-4 hrs so that I can actually sleep... Maybe?

Well I was hoping for another 4 hour stretch and he went 2. :-/ Not quite the same thing. I'm so tired and DH is going to be gone all day and late into the night at an NBA game, which puts me on my own the entire time with our newborn and toddler. I feel bad for those of you with traveling husbands. I need DH's help at night!

Feeding...I got her to go down in he swing for about an hour and half it was a battle though as she fought sleep hard. Hoping to finish this feed and then just zonk out with her on my chest I don't even want to try and get her back to sleep in the swing I am so exhausted.

I'm with u. Discussed that dh should quit when lo was born, but realizing being exhausted and also lacking nicotine is a deadly combination. Dh has to really clean up after smoking but if that will keep him less grumpy than so be it.

I have NEVER bugged him about being a smoker. It was his choice to quit when his son arrived. When we were walking into the hospital in labour he had his "last" one. That went about three weeks until work got way too overwhelming (in Australia) and he had a meltdown, so bought a pack. Totally understandable.
Then finished the pack and was about three weeks smoke free again. This time it wasn't even stress, it was cause he went out with a smoker friend and couldn't not smoke with him. So it pisses me off.!

I haven't even said anything. He knows I know, and he knows I don't like it, which is enough
Will see what the next few days bring...

Gotta give him an A for trying. Hopefully he jumps back on the wagon. Good luck!

I'm up. Just fed lo and he is asleep in my arms holding him upright for 20 minutes. I have to say we are finally seeing a rhythm now with eating and night hours. It is kind of nice to be able to predict feedings and sleep. Hopefully we can keep him in a good routine. Also we put lo down for nap time today and he hung out for about 15 minutes chilling before falling asleep in his pnp. Success.

Up for the third time. Another measly 2 hour stretch. He needed to poop so that woke him up and he decided he needed to eat too. My nips hate this.
