Watching Hoarding tonight since DH is out of town. I'm fascinated and disgusted by it all at the same time and can't look away.
Yeah, at the very least this show is good for making me want to de-clutter.
I have the opposite reaction, I watch it and then think...see my house is so clean! It's a sad day when I'm comparing the state of my home to someone with a serious mental illness.
I'd be so pissed if my husband posted something like this about me. She doesn't come on this site does she?
What did he say?!?
Ok he can't get pissed at me (this is why you don't delete!)
Basically it was how he does all the research, he made the registry, and he doesn't feel like his wife is I guess caring or interested at all.
As a woman it rubbed me wrong, if my husband were to say what he said I would've taken it as I care you don't. She's growing a human for you, I think a board full of pregos is the wrong place to 'rant' about this.
When I read his post it had already been edited, look like whatever was said in the last paragraph he decided against.
From the earlier comments about not wanting the baby's birthday to be shared, I need to 'fess- with my due date listed at July 20, I DESPERATELY don't want the baby to come on the 18th. It's my ex-husband's birthday and that is just not an association I'd enjoy. Obviously, I can't do much about it, but I have already threatened that if I go into labor on the 18th, I'm keeping my thighs zip tied together until 12:01 AM. I definitely don't believe in people having a C just to pick their date, but if I had to schedule one, the relief of it not having to be on the 18th would be pretty overwhelming. He was such a dick.
Not sure how or why he thinks he is going to get support or sympathy that his pregnant wife isn't supporting HIM right now ....... from a bunch of pregnant women.
Weirdo.
Just wait! He'll be here any moment trying to justify why it's ok to complain to pregnant women about how he's doing all the work because he made the registry. I mean his wife is JUST wrecking her body to grow a baby, NBD.

Me too, but it also makes me really sad for the people. Especial Animal Hoarding. I can't watch that one because it just all around makes my heart sad.
I was watching it too but when DH comes home he made me change it. He finds it too disturbing and depressing to watch.
It's been an eventful and productive morning already! DD was up at 5:45 so I cleaned up a bit and got all of the laundry folded. It was only 8 and I decided to jump into the shower knowing that that the Fedex guy was going to arrive a little after 9.
2 minutes in heard banging on the front door. After a few seconds of disbelief, followed by more banging, I jumped out of the shower and haphazardly wrapped a towel around myself. I grabbed DD and rushed downstairs, dripping wet.
My usual Fedex guy would have had a laugh with me and admired DD. His
wife had a baby girl within a week of my having DD so he is in the
know. He must be off today because a rather younger guy was running the
route and turned beet red when I opened the door. Poor guy
didn't know where to look. All I could muster up was a, "I thought you
would be here around the usual time, after 9." Well that didn't help at all.
I simply HAD to get this package as it is the area rug for DD's new big girl room and we can't move any furniture until it was placed.
I guess it could have gotten worse and the towel could have slipped, right? Hahaha!
I just booked another mini photography session with my toddler. I'm totally going to be the parent with 6,000 images of my first kid, and 15 of my second.

Oh god I was thinking about this too and having guilt. Tanner had pictures taken of him I think 5 times by someone I paid in the first year. I'm skimping out and not wanting to even do a newborn session this time. I even am planning a shoot before baby comes to get pictures of the "three of us for the last time*". I feel like such an asshole.
@missquela Thank you! I'm still hoping this one will take our final offer.
@tundrabunny Nothing serious is going on yet but both of the houses we have put offers in have sellers that aren't really wanting to negotiate with us and it's super frustrating. In this market you simply can't expect a sale price of $3k less than listing.
I hope they get the radon issue fixed for you! I'm nervous about inspections as well since the USDA loans have some pretty strict requirements.
I am really sorry you are having such a hard time with finding a house!!! I am sure it will all work out!

I'm doing that too!
This July, rather than newborn photos, I'm considering doing our annual Pip's Birthday Pictures (that happen in July anyway) that just happen to have a newborn in them.

And the poor third child (if you have one) will just have a hospital photo.
Poor DH. His mom once tried to pass off a photo of his oldest brother as him. He got to looking at the photo and realized the vehicles in it were about 10 years older than they should have been, haha.
Maybe a screenshot of the hospital photo. Those cost money, right????

Totally screen shotting those proofs.

There's a guy in the waiting room at my OBs office and he reeks of smoke. Of course he sat down 2 seats away from me (in an otherwise empty waiting room). I had to get up and move to the other side.
Does anyone self treat sunspots? My face is horrible and my sunspots seem to be way more noticeable, or I'm just really self-conscous about them now. I can't really afford to do laser treatment. I've been using emu oil and Cetaphil, but that's not doing a darn thing.

Frankincense oil is good for your skin. You can add a drop to your regular moisturizer everyday.

Clinique makes a dark spot corrector that works well. I have some sun damage around my eyes and it helped a lot!
Re: Random thread- for all things random.
I'm sure it was related to being snarky.
ITS A GIRL!
A LOT THAT MOST DADS WOULD LAUGH AT ME FOR!

We should all be supportive! ;-)

I know I'm being selfish but I don't want it to ruin our good time.

I dreamed I was breastfeeding my cat. It was weird and creepy. And teeth were sharp!
