Umbrella Stroller

Please recommend your umbrella stroller if you like it. I am in the market for one and having a really hard time making a decision! TIA

First Years Jet is pretty nice for under 50 bucks! Looks good, rides decently, comfy for toddlers, folds neatly, weighs nothing, roomy parent console and (small) storage basket down below.

  • Sure! Also I have been researching like crazy. I keep coming back to the GLuxe. I also like the Maclaren Triumph, Summer Infant (like this one, but the seat didn't seem super deep so my little guy seems to slide out), Joovy Grove Ultralight.

I went to BBB to try to Glux and Triumph.  Glux won me over easily.  Mostly because it was lighter weight.  Also because it was cheaper.  I'm happy with it!  I never did bother getting a full size stroller (though I have a BOB)

  • I don't think it's that heavy, it feels lighter than my City Mini.

  • The liteway is 20.7lbs and city mini is 19.9. I would be looking for a 11-14lb umbrella hopefully. Depends how much weight is important but I know for me it's key since I live in a big city and want to take it on the train. I just think considering the liteway only holds up to 40lbs it's heavy for an umbrella stroller

That is heavy for an umbrella stroller...my double weighs 22 lbs! My dad lives in DC....so part of why I have the strollers I do is because of weight and ease of use. The G-luxe is 12 lbs and the Snap (single) I mentioned in the other post is only 13. I own the G-luxe and the Snap Dual and I think both are wonderful for travel. The Snap (& I have the double) is probably the easiest stroller to use that I own other than my SnG. Depending on your overall preferences I think you would be happiest with a G-Luxe or Snap as far as weight and carrying options. The snap is in sale now too:

  • I have an Inglesina Swift and love it. It's good for taller parents.
