Randoms?

My neighbor got a new Subaru 5 months ago. She sets the alarm off every morning when she unlocks it. I thought she was accidentally hitting the button, but now I'm thinking she believes it works that way? Because, literally every morning.

It's my spring break from work this week and I got sick with a cold on Saturday. I thought it was getting better, but today I woke up feeling worse. A huge cold sore has also arrived above my lip, not even on my lip which is odd for me. Anyway, these aren't huge problems in the grand scheme of things, I'm just bummed it happened this week. It's like my body "knows" when it can get sick.

My H's birthday is on Friday and he never wants any gifts. He'd rather save the money. (Fun, I know.....) well I bought him something anyway. I had to use my moms credit card and create a whole new amazon account so he wouldn't know. He asked if I bought him something and I said yes and he acted kind of annoyed but an hour later he started trying to guess what it is. I think he's pretty excited he's getting something. I'm glad I did it.

I did awesome with my eating/exercise yesterday then went in the freezer after dinner and realized I still had some Mackinaw Island Fudge ice cream in there, so I ate it. In my defense it was to get it out of the house

I'm beyond exhausted today. DH's alarm went off and it felt like I had just went to bed. I've given up on coffee except the weekends because I'd rather have a little coffee and a lot of flavored creamer.

Oh! I got him a Titleist golf bag. He's been using his nike one for years and it has a broken strap and It falls over a lot. He never wants to spend the money to get a new one so he rigs it so it "works". He's kinda cheap!! But I love him anyway!!

I'm about to be done with my work shift (night shifts are yucky!), will go home and simultaneously help my husband get the kids ready for daycare and give him a big happy birthday hoopla/gifts before they leave the house, clean a bit, crash for a few hours, then we have a sitter coming tonight so he and I can see Jason Mraz live and acoustic!

I am both excited for the night out and dreading how exhausted I will be for it all.

Mine too! Only one place around here makes it the "right" way. Jilberts Dairy. Other ones I've noticed use nuggets and a chocolate syrup but Jilberts uses actual chocolate shavings. It's amazing!

It's my Spring Break and I have a list a mile long of organizing projects, some Spring cleaning, and school things to do. I have yet to do anything besides normal everyday tasks(laundry, grocery shopping, going to the gym, general pick-up, etc) that I usually have to squeeze into the weekend. I really like being at home and just being a mom & wife. Also, I discovered Orange is the New Black on Netflix and I've been a bit obsessed. Nap time is just about 2 episodes long and I can totally justify it by folding laundry or grading papers while I watch. Eta-spelling is apparently difficult for me today.

My morning couldn't have been more stressful. Nola screamed from the time I changed her diaper until she was finished with breakfast. This included throwing most of her pancakes on the floor. I spilled my pitcher of water everywhere and my breakfast was cold by the time I got to eat.

Thankfully she finally went in to hang out with DH for a bit while I cleaned and decompressed.

I talked the doctor into letting me out of the hospital last night since I had 3 nurses come in literally all day yesterday so I'm back at work a 1/2 day today.

The meh part of the whole thing is that I'm a modified bed rest until next week. Work = sit at my desk, go to the bathroom. Home = sit on my couch, go to the bathroom. That's it! I feel bad for DH that he's almost completely in charge of Nancy, but at the same time, if I would die it would be a much worse alternative, so I'm actually going to do everything the doc says.

Also, I'm regretting that I didn't buy tickets for Dave Matthews at Summerfest this year because Ticketmaster says his first 2 sets are going to be all acoustic, which I didn't know when I passed on them. Usually it's too much of a jam band for me and I hate it, but I've seen him live with Tim Reynolds and love it. Also, it makes me feel young and irresponsible again, which I like.

I attempted to take both of my kids to a combined doctor's appointment today; Maya's 3 year and Ethan's 18-month. NEVER EVER AGAIN.

Ethan decided to be Spiderman and climb on all the things in the doctor's office. It was nearly impossible to focus on anything the doctor said. Then, when it was over I take them out and he fights me to get in the car seat. I wrangle him in and turn to get Maya to hear "Mommy I'm really sorry." She had an accident, which she never does. So I got Ethan out of the car, took them back in to get her changed. While I was peeling her wet clothes off, I look and Ethan has both his hands playing in the public toilet. AAAAHHHH! I finally got them both together, got them out of there and to school so I could get to work. What a damn nightmare. NEVER EVER AGAIN.

I'm home sick with strep. It came on in less than a day and was so bad that my throat is bleeding. Sorry for the gross TMI.

Now I am eating ice cream because it's the only thing that helps. Bring on the fat kid status!

Oh no!! That sucks! I'm sorry you're dealing with that! I haven't had strep since I was 9, but I remember how horrible it was. They told me if I had strep again I'd have to have my tonsils out and I've never had it again! I think I scared myself into not getting it!

@Willy_gert feel better! I had strep several times growing up until I got my tonsils out. It's the worst! Eat whatever you can to make your throat feel somewhat better and to keep your strength up! Catch up on some DVR too!

Re: the car alarm...it goes off around 720am every day, so we're already up. If I stayed at home with W, I'd probably ask her about it because it's right next to W's window. So not a big deal, but after several months I'm like okay, she clearly thinks she has to set the alarm off to unlock her car. It's my crazy neighbor, btw, haha.

She asked me if I'm pregnant the other day and I said, "no, why do you ask?" I've gained weight over the past 2 months, so I was being a dick to a dick. She said, "badeebaduba bluhbah well the timing seems ideal"

Speaking of gaining weight, I want to lose weight so I cranked my treadmill up and I can barely think or type. I think it defeats the purpose of walk while you work. It's walk while you pant and pretend to work. I'm schweating.

Super long-My sister had her 2nd baby last Thursday, while she was in the hospital Friday, my 2 y/o nephew got sick for the first time ever at his baby-sitter's. BIL left the hospital and stayed home to take care of him. Saturday, BIL got sick which also was the day my sister & little niece were discharged. My parents took my nephew until Sunday, so BIL could recover and my sister and the baby could hole up in the master bedroom and rest/avoid getting sick. Nephew was back to normal by Sunday and went home.
I agreed since he was better and hadn't gotten sick since Fri to have him here on Monday to give the new parents break for a few hours. After he was here, I found out that my dad started to feel badly that morning. Even though, I thought I was so good about keeping everyone's hands clean and wiping things down just in case.
Will just threw up. I'm hoping Jack doesn't get it. Or me. What a fun Spring Break.

DD slammed her finger shut in the car door a few weeks ago. Its a good thing she has little fingers or something definitely would have broken! Her nail is black and I'm sure it will fall off soon. *shudder*

That sucks. I actually like doing combined appointments when I can. I have done it twice and it went really well.

A is going to get her fingers in a drawer one day and it is going to suck. She really slams those things.

I'm back! I got roped into going to this cheesy entrepreneurship meetup off campus that my office tries to support. It ended up working out, because my boss at my old company (that I freaking loved) was there and has some new things going on and wants to stay in touch.

Also, they had a burger bar. I gained 5 pounds I'm sure.

I hope so. I think the thing I'm most upset about is that we're pretty sure they knew about it and didn't put it in the disclosure. If they had, we wouldn't have made an offer and wouldn't have spent $300 on the inspection. Grrrr

Is it common in your area? Foundation problems are super common where we lived in TX so we fixed the foundation just prior to closing per the buyer's request. It was expensive but needed to be done to sell the house. My parents also fixed their foundation while living in their house in TX.

Did you ask the owner to fix the foundation?
