We did the RNP which is a must have for all you FTMs and not too terribly expensive. If you were to choose between this RNP and bouncer I would def choose RNP. Like PP mentioned we transitioned to crib first with naps and then once he started napping well in the crib we had him sleep in there. We never wedged up the mattress but we also started using the Magic Merlin Baby Sleep Suit about this time since he hated having his arms restricted in the swaddle. I swear up and down by the Magic Merlin Sleep Suit and think it helped him transition to crib as well as helped him sleep through the night by 5 months.
Probably a PnP for the first few months in our room, then moving into a crib. Though I had someone recommend sleeping on a mattress or futon on the floor with baby in a co-sleeper or something similar for nursing, and after all of the getting up I did last time around, this is sounding more and more ideal to me.
Ditto! I think it will make it easier for everyone involved for baby to be right next to me for the first few weeks. Hoping the transition to his/her crib isn't too painful.
Pack n Play in our room then transition to crib in nursery.
