I woke up at 6 am with a terrible horrible feeling. My intuition was spot on.
Came to do my first pick up ever. STBXH was verbally abusing me in front of the kids with very nasty things to say. Pushed me and pulled a bag out of my hand and punched a dent in my car. Also yelled horrific things at my mom and she didn't even come into the house. Then his mom pushed me while joining in on the verbal assault again all in front of the kids. It's like living a nightmare and I feel so bad for the kids. I'm allowed to stay in our home, have full custody and a no contact and no visitation order until we see the judge.
I feel sick. And sad. Why couldn't they let me come get the kids and just go? It went so smooth on Friday when he picked up. Why didn't he do the same?
Fucked up. No other words. And no idea what happens from here.
Re: I got the TRO
I dont know if he will get to plead his case in court, thats what happened when i filed for a restraining order against my ex. But youll get a letter in the mail about that
Throwing leaves
Is the highlighted just going off of state law or do you have a temp order that says you can refuse visitation? Either way you are in the right, but I would file charges and go for a PO and temp court order if you have not/if possible.
Youll have to correct me if im wrong, but i believe the bolded is saying that her xh isnt allowed visitation until they see the judge.
Probably because physical violence occured in front of the children. It might be the possibility for child endangerment. But i could be wrong.
However, good to hear mslynnyd. And I hope you files charges against his mother for assault.
I filed a complaint against my mil too. That supposedly has to go to mediation first?!? But in the next breath the court admin came outside to tell me face to face that she knows my in laws well so I hope there is no favoritism.
My in laws are a wealthy and well known family in these parts.
It was a Sunday so I had to go through the police and speak to the judge on the phone from the police station.
Ugh, gross. I'm so sorry you're dealing with this. Sometimes people with well renowned reputations turn out to be the nastiest and skeeviest of them all. I am glad you got the temporary restraining order, at least. ((hugs)) Hang in there.
