  Im so sorry this happened, hugs for you. Hugs for your mom, and hugs for your kids. Im sure your in shock and youll go through a vast array of emotions about this in the next few months.
  
  I dont know if he will get to plead his case in court, thats what happened when i filed for a restraining order against my ex. But youll get a letter in the mail about that

  He is clearly unstable.  You now have witnesses.  He should not have unsupervised visitation with your kids until he gets a lot of counseling, anger management classes and help for his substance abuse issues. Hopefully you filed domestic violence charges against him.

  Is the highlighted just going off of state law or do you have a temp order that says you can refuse visitation? Either way you are in the right, but I would file charges and go for a PO and temp court order if you have not/if possible.

  Probably because physical violence occured in front of the children. It might be the possibility for child endangerment. But i could be wrong.

  I have no brain today either. I only got about 3 hours of sleep due to beating the shit out of my boyfriend at mortal kombat vs DC universe. So I've been hesitant to comment on posts.

  Me too. I'm about to bite the bullet and have some of the coffee at work. It's so bad and acidic, but it's coffee and my eyes are having trouble staying open. The gym will be interesting tonight...

  I have a temporary restraining order and in it the judge ordered him out of the house with no visitation. They put that he harassed me and the police are also filing criminal mischief for my car. My lawyer is reading over the temp restraining order and amending it if needed.
  I filed a complaint against my mil too. That supposedly has to go to mediation first?!? But in the next breath the court admin came outside to tell me face to face that she knows my in laws well so I hope there is no favoritism.
  My in laws are a wealthy and well known family in these parts.

  I am just trying to decipher if this means she filed a report with police or if she got  temp order from the courts? Or both.  
  It was a Sunday so I had to go through the police and speak to the judge on the phone from the police station.
