I made wooden letters covered with scrap paper and going to soon decorate with bows or buttons. Not sure what colors I want to add but I can't wait for the next project!
I want to learn how to sew, so I'm hoping to invest in a (small) sewing machine because there is no theme things for the theme DH and I chose so I'm going to make everything, and maybe buy swing/bouncer etc that either fit the theme by color, or find a bland color one and make special covers for it. (:
@shakeweights I'm planning to do a similar crib skirt with the ties also. I'd love to see how yours turns out!
@babygabe614 - I almost finished it last night but then my mom and dad called and I talked to them until I went to bed. LOL! I just have to sew the ribbons on (I'm sewing instead of using the stitch witchery) so I should have that done tonight I used a cute multi-colored chevron pattern. I'll post a picture when I'm done for sure! I want to see yours too!

@raclouse - what about green or orange? I think that would be super cute! Or brown?
@babygabe614 - for me? Probably a 3 or 4 - it was pretty easy actually. And if you're not someone that wants to sew, you can use stitch witchery and not have to sew any of it. The thing that took the longest was measuring (and trying to cut in a straight line because I suck at that) and then making sure each piece was the right size. But there is some room for error too which is nice I had fun making it and my H was very proud of me and excited that there was something homemade in her room already. Next is to try the fitted crib sheet....ugh! LOL! I picked that fabric because it had the orange and pink in it and would look cute with the sheets I'm making (the fabric is bright pink and orange owls) and some single color sheets as well
I tackled the crib sheet finally! I was nervous to start it because I don't have a ton of this fabric...which is the whole inspiration for the room! Anyway - it went really well and I got it done in a few hours and it fit perfectly!!! So exciting!! Next up - curtains and changing pad cover and hubby needs to paint the room!
These aren't for my baby, but they're for a baby, so I figured I'd share them here anyway! I'm going to a baby shower tomorrow, so I knit up a pair of booties for the little one. I'm working on a matching hat to go with them right now, which I'll be lucky to finish in time! I'll have lots of this wool left over, so I'm hoping to make a similar booties/hat set for our little one.

Dh is a big time celtics fan so he wanted to start this little guy off early. Nothing to fancy just a tie blanket. I had to special order the Boston celtics print since we live in North Dakota.
I love seeing everyone's creations. So inspirational... I love to cross stitch so I will start a baby sampler shortly. I usually do one for each baby born among my close friends and family but I am a bit behind right now (there's been a bit of a baby boom in the last two years in my circle).
I did this one for my DD
and this one for my DS
Both are framed and hanging in their rooms. I have several options picked out for this LO but haven't decided which one I will do yet.
I'm not crafty, but I love to write. So I'm wiring a journal for LO. I thought of the idea when I found my mom's journal and I just loved reading through it and seeing her from a whole new perspective.
My mom and I have been working on the crib skirt and finally finished!! It wasn't a hard project, just SO time consuming. But I LOVE the way it turned out.
Our crib isn't set up yet so I tried to display it on the ironing board to get an idea.
I thought I posted a pic on this thread already, but I didn't see it. Forgive me if this is a double post but I'm proud of my mobile. Cost about $18 and a ton of frustration but it's done. I'll never make another one, lol!
I finished the curtains over the weekend! I unfortunately don't have a pic though because we were painting the room all weekend and we're still not done.
@saltypearl - when you do blackout curtains, what do you use? I decided to get a roman shade for the inner part of the window (I'm probably just going to buy one) and then make simple curtains out of the same cotton fabric the crib skirt is made out of.
@MrsRahl - I love the fabric!! That's going to be super cute!
@jshrop Did you decide on whether or not to paint the crib? I'm hoping to start on mine this weekend, and wondered if you had decided to take the plunge too.

@MrsBHM your mobile is inspiring me to make my own. Any tips or tricks you can pass along to make the job easier?
I bought an adhesive roller (like double sided tape that rolls on) and it made connecting the two circles around the tiny strand of yarn a lot easier. Other than that just get something good on TV and craft away!!
I made the thumbprint "guest book" for our shower this coming weekend! We will be doing shades of pink leaves with all the guests fingerprints. It will hang above her changing table.
I painted these wall arts for the room and also knitting a blanket. I am sure my mom is doing one too as she loves to knit. We are also going to be painting an big elephant on the wall tomorrow!
This weekend's projects were 24 cloth wipes (two-sided) and 2 diaper pail liners. Lots of sewing in straight lines. Very happy with how both projects turned out!

I'm crocheting a blanket but I'm having trouble being motivated to finish it.
