    I was told by a friend from the south that when someone says this to you......it really means "fuck you". I don't know if its true or not but when I read her response I lol'd because I heard the "FU" version and I thought it was funny. Maybe I am just sleep deprived, who knows.

    It has such versatility!

    I moved to CA from KY and got the side eye for some vernacular phrases a lot in the beginning. Especially when I used "fixin' to."

    LinnyF I live in NE and have all my life, my good friend moved up here from GA she lived there for 30 years......Sometimes she talks and I have NO idea what she is saying OR she says phrases and I don't know what they mean. When I ask her she just looks at me like I am dumb for not knowing....I just smile and nod now, laugh if it seems appropriate LOL.
