I don't understand why so many people feel the need to lie to their husbands about lo being fussy/bad during the day when h is at work to get them to give you a break. I guess I don't know why people feel they only "deserve" a break if they had a hard time. My lo is a very happy and great baby, does that mean I don't deserve to take a nice hot bath or to go get my nails done? Plus, your h needs the time with lo if he's been gone all day anyways!
It is just as bad for a woman to hit a man as it is for a man to hit a woman. Abuse is abuse no matter the sex of the abused/abuser.
I couldn't agree more. It's not okay for a woman to hit a man knowing that he won't hit her back. Or better yet, hitting a man and getting hit in return and then calling the police and having HIM arrested. Abuse is abuse.
I think the clothing for tall humans market is underserved. I just want to be able to buy a hilarious t-shirt for my husband that doesn't bare his midriff. APPARENTLY THIS IS UNPOPULAR.
I read this as "undeserved" and felt rage.

Crop tops for men. Shopping for DF is terrible he's a string bean. Needs a medium but have to buy xl or xxl just so he can put his hands above his head.
I have always hated when I hear women say that they don't have time to workout so that's why they were never able to lose the baby weight, or just weight in general for that matter. You have to MAKE TIME! The majority of us work and lead otherwise busy lives. It's just a matter of how bad you want it. If you don't work out that's totally fine, but don't sit there and tell me that you just CANT lose weight because you have no time to work out. Stop making excuses! Just the other day I did squats, lunges, and a few other body weight exercises while holding Easton because he wouldn't let me put him down. Sure it wasn't me going to the gym, but it was something!
I plan to swear around my kid. I mean not to excess, but I will use swear words in their appropriate context and not punish him for doing that same thing. I will however, teach him that certain words are not ok to use at school.

In regards to CIO I don't ever think it's appropriate, no matter what the age. I have never let me 2yo CIO and never will. If he cries at bedtime I will lay with him until he falls asleep or doesn't need me anymore. The twins will never have to CIO either. I think it's cruel whether the baby is 6 months or 6 years old.
I have a few UO's: 1. I do not find Dane Cook funny or that guy with the puppets 2. I obsessively love cinnamon (it is a running joke in my family, I have been handed that instead of pepper)

Ok so being a mother working from home while taking care of a 2.5 Yo and a 3 month old....ummmm yes I have a flipping excuse. This time is much harder for me because there is no time. I have a boat of weight to lose and would need cardio at least 30 mins straight per day 6 days a week to make a dent. Doing squats while holding LO isn't going to much at all. I'm doing the best I can but I still say I have no time.... There's a difference between an excuse and a fact

I'm fully aware that my opinion is unpopular. That's why I posted it here in this thread. If you don't want to lose time with your child then workout when he/she is sleeping. If you have multiple kids then get up early while they are still sleeping. If you don't have the desire to do these things then that's fine and understandable. However, if you do have the desire to but your not willing to exhaust all options, then don't say it's impossible for you to at least work towards whatever goal you have in mind.

That's great for the moms whose LOs don't insist on sleeping on them. The second I put her down she is awake so yeah, I can't work out yet. Thanks for your opinion though.
Ummm....I did not say impossible. Of course I don't have to sleep I can exercise all night long in between BF sessions. MY DESIRE to be a sane mother is greater than a sleep deprived skinny one. Again never said impossible but I am saying excusable.

You should be doing crunches while she's sleeping on you. The added weight gives better results. If you're not doing this it's because you're a lazy fatass. After all, every moment not caring for high maintenance children should be spent exercising.

Let's say I want to work out while LOs are sleeping. How should I do cardio? Leave them alone in the house while I jog?
Do you have a tv? If so, pop in a workout video. Do you have access to the internet? If so, there are plenty of workouts you can find and follow where all you need is just your body.

Of course! What was I thinking. Stupid excuses. I really am a lazy fat ass. I do manage to get the dishes washed and the floors vacuumed when my SO gets home from work and takes the baby for me.

It doesn't take exercising "all night long" to get a good workout in. It doesn't have to be any longer than 20-30 minutes. But again, if you don't desire to wake up a little earlier or stay up a little later, then don't. I'm not judging people who value their sleep, I'm just saying I get annoyed when women say it isn't possible to do.

Let's say I'm too poor for a TV or the internet. Hypothetically. Am I excused then?
STOP MAKING EXCUSES.

What IS possible for one person, may NOT be possible for another. Just saying...
some days i dont have time to poop much less exercise.

I'd love to work out. My day starts at 6:00 when my kids get up. If I'm not driving to and from pre-school or taking care of the house, I'm tending to their needs. I bump when I'm nursing and sitting in the school drop-off line. I'm with them until they go to sleep around 9:00. DH usually gets home around that time. That gives me about an hour (maybe two) in the evening to shower, eat, and spend a little time with him. I guess I could have a banging body if I was willing to sacrifice the little alone time that we get at the end of the day. Oh, and sleep. I'll take a little belly pudge if it means preserving the health of our marriage. So, in that sense, I do have a choice, I guess.
Seriously though, I like you and I'm not flaming. I'm glad you've found a system that works for you and affords you the opportunity to exercise. I'm not saying it's easy for you, and I'm sure you sacrifice to carve out that time. But don't assume that other people are making excuses because their schedules and circumstances aren't the same as yours.
I think women expect too much of themselves and so does society. We sometimes set ourselves up for failure by trying to do too much in a day. I find that when I make a smaller to do list I feel better about myself than when I make a huge one and don't finish half. That includes exercise. You have to be realistic about it. It's not easy for everyone to find time to exercise but people do what is important to them and get to other stuff later. That's fine. Use whatever reason or excuse you want it's your life. Who am I to judge if you have time or not? I know some days I would rather have clothes to wear the next day than do a 15 min aerobic video. Priorities yo.
