Gah I'm so jealous of all the outside baby mommies on here. I can't wait to hold my LO and do all the things with her. Kissing the baby nose, seeing her smile for the first time, feeding, diapering, bathing, sleeping... I'm so ready, baby girl, it's time to come out soon!!!
Haha not getting any sleep. I always loved watching my cousins and siblings sleep when they were tiny, so I'm looking forward to seeing my little girl sleeping. I know I'm in for one hell of a ride if I think I'll ever get more than a snatched nap or two when I can after she comes!
Yup it happened, I can't believe it. Ds1 officially snubbed me this morning at drop off for school because there were other kids around! Omg not even a wave good bye just this look like "I don't know you go away!" he is only 10&1/2 I though I had at least another year or two until he was to cool for me I ugly cried all the way home. Maybe I should ground him?!?!?! (jk)
OMG u guise, I talked to my manager and I talked to HR and I am all set to go out a week early!! My last day of work is FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Enjoy!! I've been out of work for a week and a half. Granted... I'm practically on bedrest because my back hurts so much... But it's nice to not stress about work and having no schedule. I even forget what day it is
My mom called and will be here sometime tomorrow! She is driving from nj to fl I can't wait!!! What a nice surprise I give it 2 maybe 3 days until I am bitching about her being here!!!
Awe my own dh because he surprised me and came to my nst appt. too bad they are a little behind like always so he has to cut out early... But he got to be here for an hour
(I had a pip of him reading a funny cat book being bored.. But the attach on mobile isn't working.)
AtLEaST he doesn't look like this...
MH looked like this last week at ours! Those recliners were sooo comfy
@AlexisDKruse football hold is the only way I can nurse on righty with out pain.
Bummer! Lily likes to be cross, but she'll only do football on my right side. She won't latch to the left football.
I haven't tried it, but I think they have their preferences. DS is very gentle with lefty, hence why I have to coddle righty a bit. And it's not his latch cause he's got great latch on both sides.. Just something about the right he tears it up.
Mia will only latch football on right as well.
I tried side laying last night as a last attempt and she took to that on the left side like a pro. I may get some sleep now haha
Wish me luck. I'm at the dentist for a cleaning and had to bring the baby with me because DH is working and I don't really have a babysitter yet.
Eta It's been 2 hours exactly since he last ate and he goes anywhere between 1 1/2 hours and 4 hours. Fx for 4 hours!
We did it!! Now we're waiting for my car to get washed and detailed. I love doing it myself. But it's hard to with him, so I'll let the "professionals" do in 10 minutes what it would take me 2 hours to do.
Does anyone have any cute ideas for a birthday present for a first time grandma? We just had our baby girl on Friday and my mom's birthday is coming up this week so I thought it would be a good idea to maybe put a cute little something together.
My mom has a brighton charm bracelet and so we bought her an M for mia and then a February birth stone charm
I was about to order my double stroller so me, DS and lo could go for walks (cause I'm determined to get my pre- ds1 body back and run that damn 5k before I'm 30 )
Then I saw the weather for tomorrow.. 12-16 inches or snow.
I guess march came in like a lamb and will go out like a crack fiend lion.
And I thought Massachusetts was bad. I despise the winter. I don't even know why I live here. We're expecting 1-3 inches. I'm hoping for 1.
My windows are wide open today. Winter is a cruel cruel season
Ok possible tmi but I am scared of going into labor today or tomorrow simply because my hemis are so bad that I can't imagine pushing with them!! :,( trying to get them settled down besides tucks and prep h any other remedies ladies??
I'm struggling with putting DD down at night. DH can convince me to do it but it's usually always preceded by tears and panic from me. I'm terrified of something happening to her at night. I know that we are doing "all the right things" to minimize risk of SIDS but it consumes my thoughts every.single.night.
I think part of this is normal baby blues (DD is two weeks old), but I had a full blown anxiety attack in the hospital 2 days PP, which has never happened to me before. My Dr put me on a mild anti-anxiety drug which is helping, but I don't know what to do to ease my mind and stop worrying about her constantly. I feel like my mind is robbing me with quality time with my daughter because I'm always worrying.
Sorry if this is long, I just need another place to get it out. I'm ready to not feel like this anymore.
1.) I have SIDS paranoia too. I got so freaked out about the padding in the bassinet I bought that I am ditching it and putting LO in a laundry basket with just a pad on the bottom. Because I know that's well ventilated! No soft sides! Aaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!
2.) It is diaper day over here! Not only did our prefolds from the diaper service get delivered, but the two dozen osocozy birdseye flats I bought to start our own stash ALSO arrived.
I pulled out a teddy bear and some snappis and started trying to figure it out, and MH got right in on the action, figuring out some folds on the flats while I was still staring at YouTube videos for the prefolds.
He says he is totally into flats (cheap, easy to wash, versatile, old-fashioned) and thinks they're the way he wants to go once we're done with the diaper service. And he said that if I wanted prefolds it might make more sense if we bought flats and he would run 'em through the sewing machine.
She also never move to her room because it's in the front of the house on the street with windows. What if someone walks by and takes her??!?! Gah!!!
This is why we got these
For ds's room.. Seriously the only way I could transfer him out of our room..
Stuck those on the doors and windows and I would know of any creeper was trying to get in..
Showing to dh! I will never sleep! Need these for sure!
I agree... these are pretty cool. I bet if these existed when I was a teenager... my parents would have put them on my bedroom door.... lol

I feel like I am going to be like this too. There are so many things they say to do and so many things not to do. I don't see how you can't obsess over it.
Re: The Randomest Thread
I should have been a housewife... lol

RIP Dr. Irving Fishman - 10/1/19-7/25/10 - thank you for holding on for me.
You made my wedding day complete.

And documenting it with photos on instagram. I kid you not.
I have seen her contraction paper monitor thing.
Please Lord do not let me see any other photos of mp or cervical checks

I've been convinced LO is going to be overdue practically since I conceived, but luck being what it is maybe tomorrow night is THE TIME.
I'm ready for my mil to leave.
Who knows when that will be.

I am kind of totally in awe of him right now.
