  We went to this playgroup where the mom was the mom in labour in the room next to me (small town guise). We had the same Dr, and she was calling all the nurses Biotches and the c word. I could hear her yelling from my room. I figured out it was her because I knew she had ended up with a c section at 6 am, and she confirmed that.   So... LO has been taking all his naps on me the past 2 weeks pretty much. You know, sick baby wants mom. Well, today is day 2 of being fever free, but he's still fighting this stupid cold. I laid him down in his bed 4 hours ago. Yes, 4. I want to peek in on him, but at the same time, I don't want to wake him up.

  Cheers! My inlaws had champagne waiting for me after work to celebrate my new job! I am officially drunk and it's not yet 8. The bottle is kicked!

  I got to see one of my closest girlfriends today! Ironically she lives the farthest from me and since procreating it has been even harder to get together.  We got to catch up while our babies and dogs played!!!

  And for those who have called me fake in the past...I just hung out with a girl who was all fucking sunshine and rainbows about her first. Seriously, she had zero things to say about being a FTM that weren't about how awesome it was.

  @majwv8 this girl is too much though. I want to hug her and tell her it's ok. She is a football wife (her husband is a varsity head football coach) so she is on her own most of the time and her daughter is VERY active. In fact, they went to the hospital because she hurt herself and never told anyone!! I want to be the person she can be real with...

  @workinit For the first time in 3 weeks (yes 3) nobody in my house has a fever today!! So, if we can stay on that track, things are better downriver! Lol. The wings game is this Friday. I kind of wish it was last night. That was a good game! Are you busy preparing our dessert crawl for June?

  @sctiger I had that a couple of weeks ago. Couldn't believe how weak I was. I tried sitting up to nurse and started sweating and shaking so I had to lay down and nurse. I didn't eat or move for a couple days straight and it took about a week to really get my strength back. Hope you're feeling better! I know it sucks!

  Ugh why must baby nails grow at the speed of lightning but mine grow slower than a time lapse of coral growing!? I swear I could clip LOs nails daily and still not be able to keep up!

  @melOhdy, my LO uses to eat solids like a champ as well but he decided last week he didn't want to be fed anymore. If he can't finger feed he throws a fit so I'm just adding a snack or two in and nursing a little more.

  I hosted a really nice bridal shower today. I was so nervous about it but everything turned out nice. It was at a cupcake boutique. The theme was "food & wine". One of the co-hosts is super crafty so she made the cork letters, cupcake picks, centerpieces and hostess buttons. We had a great time and I'm exhausted. Here are some pics:
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  Just wanted to add that we didn't play any real shower games. We wrote down our favorite memory of us and the bride, a hostess read it and the bride had to guess who wrote it. It was fun because we learned a lot about the friendships she has with everyone.

  Hi everyone! I feel like I am never here anymore, but I am- just lurking more. Anyway. We met with the EI service coordinator the other day. She's nice. Gave K a bag of goodies (toys, books, a sippy cup, milestone chart for us) and discussed services. Looks like they decided to do weekly PT instead of biweekly. So the PT will be calling at the end of this month to set up a good time for us. It runs till September and the goal is to teach K how to transition (sit to crawl, pull to stand, walk along objects etc). They also want her to walk 5 steps independently and transition regularly (she doesn't do any transitions now and rolls VERY intermittently... As in 3x since January 19th.) So we have some work ahead of us. I'm relieved that this is all just physical and her mental capacity is where it should be for her age. But I'm still a little sad that she needs extra help. She will be fine though. Anyway that's where we are at.

  Grayson stayed up way later than he normally does because we had family over tonight and I figured I was in for a rough road at bedtime but he went to sleep so easy for me! Playing with his cousins must have wore him out!
