I can't wrap my head around the fact that there is someone actually body shaming a baby. Have you seen @emandia and her gorgeous baby boy? The cheeks on that baby could be nommed on all day long.

Dude, this has nothing to do with body shaming.
    Actually, it does.

  • @muirmaid - I know you weren't trying to be malicious but when you essentially say "I think your baby is funny looking" and indicate your thought is that something is wrong with them...you're going to get some folks up in arms.

I agree. I think it was more the wording than the thought behind it. Everyone thinks their baby is the cutest.

Wedding favours should be edible or actually useful. I don't want a key chain with you and your partner's name on it. I guess that was more of a UO, or hopefully a PO.
100% agree. We had boxed Krispy Kreme donuts that guests could eat drunkenly later that night or the next morning ;)
    What an awesome favor idea!

Okay, here's my confession: I think skinny babies are super cute and chubby babies are funny-looking.

I know this is 100% due to the fact that I have a teeny little peanut, so that's what I think babies are supposed to look like (even though I know that's not true), but I can't get around it! I know chubby babies must be freaking adorable because everyone's always like, "ZOMG, those CHEEKS!!!!1!1!!" But I just can't see it. My mind goes, "Whoa! WTF is wrong with THAT one?!?"

I hope my next baby is a big plump one so I can fully appreciate the entire spectrum of baby adorableness. (Please don't hate me, moms of giants.) ;)

Edit: Oh, and @lizabethann06, ygpm. It's not about Brynne's cheeks. :)
I also have a fairly skinny baby and I love the chubs I see on here and IG. I don't see any babies other than George IRL so when I see you these chubby babies its just that I'm not use to seeing them. They are so adorable and I was excited to see George get a roll around his wrists. Funny looking is probably the wrong way to put it but I get not being used to seeing it. There is nothing wrong with a chubby baby imo.

Woah.  I didn't read this before posting.  You might win the best favor ever award!  Yummy!

I already have mommy guilt about this...but I am not looking forward to planning DS's first birthday party. Like, at all. I'm kinda dreading it. Invites, themes, decorations, food. I'm exhausted thinking about it. It feels like a glorified photo opp that he will not remember nor care about. I would much rather stay home all day and snuggle, and give him a cupcake to smash up. But I feel this pressure to host a bash or I'm a bad mom. :(
I don't intend on throwing a big party either. I'm just going to have family over for a cookout and cake. No invitations, no theme, no party favors. I'll get into that stuff when he's older.

  • I'm with @meimsx on the parties... first one is huge after that... not so much... although Josephine had a large 2nd bday party too.  I was shamed into it... the next one though, we're going to an indoor waterpark as a family.

  • So I have another. Have you all seen the video floating around fb produced by Nordstrom I think about the scarves? Well it inspired me to finally buy one after I have searched and wished and walked away so many times. I've seen that video and thought there are so many ways to wear them I can totally pull one of them off. I'm wearing it today and I feel weird. The video is deceptive because the model has a long lean neck, small boobs and tall thin frame. I'm squatty and chubby with huge boobs and I think it looks weird.

  • I regularly forget that my baby was NOT born in July.  I think its a combination of spending too much time on the July bump board and the fact that I had her July 18th due date in my head for so long that I cannot comprehend that my baby was actually born on June 30th.
same here. When people ask me I go "July.....no...August 3rd."

I poas after work on Wednesday. We haven't had sex in well over three weeks, so I figured I would be pregnant enough that fmu wouldn't matter. I grabbed a clear blue test. I didnt know how to read it, so when I saw the control vertical line I thought I was pregnant. I took a pic and showed some friends to help me read it.

Who is 28yo and doesn't know how to read a pee stick? I was so relieved when it was negative. But then I was told blue dye tests aren't the most accurate, so I'll be buying another one this weekend for peace of mind.
