Listen to your instincts, Mommas! Long story short, I found a lump in C's thigh on Thursday. Walk in clinic on Sunday, ultrasound and doc appt on Monday morning, he sent us to the ER. Doc there didn't think it was much, but C had been decreasing solids, not peeing much and was running a fever. I insisted they check it out more and when they aspirated it, puss came out. They cleaned it out and ruled out a bladder infection. He's doing so much better and fever is down today. I'm so glad I trusted my gut and kept pushing for an answer!!
Last night DD would not sleep. Tooth #3 finally showed up with 4,5,6 all close behind. At 4 AM I lost my mind. Woke up my husband and yelled at him for making such a mess in our room. It wasn't even messy, but I was mad that he 'can't' wake up in the middle of the night. I started throwing things in the trash loudly and vacuumed the room. He hasn't said anything about it this morning, but got up with DD at 6:45 for the day and woke me up at 9 with an egg mcmuffin.
ETA: and 2 shamrock shakes! I can't even finish half of one, but I am so excited to have them.
Ok, now that is a good husband! Also I hope it's ok that I giggled when I read about you vacuuming in the middle of the night, its mostly just because I could absolutely see myself doing that.
In all seriousness though I hope you get a real break and chance to re-charge.
I WAY overestimated how much to put in my FSA this year and have been looking for ways to spend the money. My administrator allows you to use the money for sports related safety equipment ie bike helmets, mouth guards, etc. It might be a good way to spend any extra dollars, especially for moms with older kids. But please check your policy first.
@cl8badb Guess what I just found out? They do swimming lessons here in the summer! They have a toddler class for 6-18 months so I'm totally signing up J! Screw work

LO fell asleep right when he got home from daycare (normal) - but he's still sleeping (not normal). I know eventually I have to wake him up to put him in PJs and nighttime diaper, but I don't want to!
More importantly, both of my dogs would really like to be taken out on a walk to poop. We live in a condo complex which means I can't just let them out the door. WWYD? Wake the baby to take the dogs out? Or hope the dogs can hold it and wait until LO wakes up inevitably?
@musicalsilver When I lived in our apt, I'd just take the dogs out. And leave sleeping baby inside. Maybe that's a FFWC? I wouldn't be out long, just long enough for them to go. Then back inside. Now I will say, taking them out was right by our door as we were on the first floor. So maybe that's a little different than your situation.
I was debating this. I do this to take them out to pee at night - I take them out right by our front door as well. @Steamboat1679 and @libberluru also have good points. Since he does have to wake up for jammies and the like aaanyway ...
I'll probably finish eating my dinner in peace (as long as the dogs don't explode) - and then bite the bullet and wake the baby so he doesn't overflow his diaper. I'd rather not change his sheets too :-P
You guys - just nursed N for the last time as part of her bedtime routine. She'll keep nursing in the morning but the night time is special. She's comfort nursing and conked out now and I'm letting her go as long as she wants and crying all the tears.

O numbers! I will be where you are next week!! Hugging you so hard milk comes out!!
I just realized something! I never have to wear a nursing bra again (until next baby)! Since we will only nurse in the morning I haven't even put on a bra then. I can pull out all my old ones and hopefully some will fit
In the car tonight DH and I discussed daylight savings time. I told him we spring forward at 2am to 3am. Then he made the smart ass remark, "so when LO wakes up at 4am, it will really be 5am and you got an extra hour of sleep."
@cl8badb I almost just did @youroldscreenname... But anyway! K does the head lean thing now too. She's never been a cuddler (just wants to be held- not cuddled) so I am soaking it up too. I'm impatiently waiting for her to like hugs and kisses. The closest I get to a kiss these days is her open slobbery mouth trying to eat my nose.
Second meeting with EI this morning at 9am to set up a service plan for my baby girl. We did some furniture shuffling this week so I have to sneak downstairs and tidy up some more. Hopefully we can still make baby story time at the library at 10am! And maybe see my new niece again? (Although I think new mom and dad are sick of visitors..:D) or go see my Grandma for awhile.
I have been seriously MIA lately. I have 622 new posts in this thread alone! And I didn't read the 300 something prior to that bc I clicked on the darn link and didn't have the chance to read it all. I suck. Life has been incredible busy lately. Lots going on. Some good, some not so good. I miss you ladies like crazy and hope to be able to pop in more often. And go back and read everything I've missed!!
But, I get a night out tomorrow night with H! And an overnight at that! We have a friend's wedding to go to and both kids are staying with my ILs. We haven't had an overnight out yet. GIVE ME ALL THE WINE!!
Yay @ColieAnn31 I was randomly thinking of you because we made the sleeping together to sleeping in crib transition 2 months ago!! Our first couple nights were really bad and then within a couple weeks he started STTN! GO Grayson!
Also how much coffee is too much when breastfeeding??
Aww! Thanks @no longer the best! Right now I'm just starting him off in his crib and if he wakes up and won't go back to sleep with a couple pats on the butt then I'll bring him to bed with me and snuggle. I'll really start the sleep training process once I get a video monitor!
Yes that was us word for word! We also got a video monitor (though it died on us). The only thing with us was once he started STTN in there I really missed sleeping with him and it was a bit hard for me since he is not a cuddler so I didn't realize how special that time was until it was over
I have tried and he just wants to play or crawl off the bed now. For the odd nap he will sleep with me but that's about it!
I was trying to read this whole thread but only got to page 113. I've read the last couple and just want to say Maelara was here.
Also, congrats @steamboat1679!
My son likes to sit up in his swing and then SLAM his head back. 8-}
R likes to sleep crawl in his crib, sit up and whine/cry, and then face plant and fall back to sleep. lol All you hear on the other side of the wall is "ahhhhhhTHUDsilence". Weirdos.
Does anyone shop at a Nordstrom Rack or Saks off of 5th? Are they worth my time? I just found out both are opening next month in a new shopping center near me!
They are a waste of time only if you hate shopping and nice things at a discounted price.
Ah! I've had a shit day! I was mean to my husband over something he has no control over (and I feel awful about it!), the vehicle we borrowed (as mine's tire decided to blow up) isn't working (first it's battery was dead and now it won't accelerate and has a ton of warning lights), my DH got yelled at for not putting in enough over time at work even though he doesn't see DD nearly enough as it is. I'm borrowing a car because I need to go to the sweet grass border to pick up parts for my husband to do a presentation on Saturday and N has been crying ALL. MORNING. Now DH can't do his presentation and I'm afraid we killed my inlaws fancy car. Which we can't afford up fix. OH! And my DH got a ticket on the way home from work so he could boost the car. Lovely.
ETA: I had to put this somewhere, my brain was going to explode. I'm sorry I ran in here after not posting in here and posted a vent!
Re: The thread of all threads!
Go to https://www.fsastore.com to find more items you can use your FSA for.
I would be getting chiropractic massages every day! I can use my FSA to pay the chiro co-pay and my doc does massage too.

That sounds like a punishment to me and I live in Kansas.
