Has anyone found maternity skinny jeans that they love?

Preferably for short people.  I'm 5'2 and small/medium size.  I don't want to spend a ton of money.  I found a nice pair for $90 but I'm not spending that on something I'm only going to wear for 6 months.

I have a pair from Gap- they are great, but tend to stretch during the day and I have to pull them up. This may change once my bump grows.

My favorite pair is from Motherhood. I think they are by Indigo?

I just ordered a pair of white jeans by Jessica Simpson from Motherhood. Excited to try those!

If maternity meant fat it'd be an oxymoron.

  • I adored my Gap maternity skinnies last time around, but this time they keep sagging on me so I'm not loving them.  I have the full-panel, though, and I think they just don't stay up well without a bump to hold them.  Going to try Old Navy next, since I like their regular skinnies.

  • I'm just on the edge of petite and those full panel jeans look so huge!  I know I should just go try them on, but I feel like they are going to be fully up to my boobs.  Anyone have any petite jean shopping advise?

All my jeans are full panel jeans.  I've never bought petite I've just hemmed regular length pants.  For now I'm folding down the panel but I'll roll it back up when my bump gets bigger. IMO anything but a full panel was uncomfortable and cut into my belly.

I was actually thinking of hitting up a few stores here in LA to try on jeans...Paige, Seven, Citizens and the like.  But oh hell NO will I spend $185 on a pair!  My thinking is...try them on, find the pair I love, write it down...and then go find it on Ebay! I want to get a pair of skinnies, a pair to wear with higher shoes and a pair to wear to work with sneakers. I can't do the Old Navy jeans normally...haven't tried the Motherhood ones but their cotton convertible pants and velour track pants are cool.

@jmoir you might want to look on Ebay as well..I often find a lot of jeans on there that have already been hemmed! (I'm 5'2" and normally wear a 25/26 or an XS/Small)
I did consider ebay but I get semi skeeved out that someone I don't know wore them.  I'll check out the inventory though, the idea of it being hemmed is appealing.  BTW I'm holding a slight grudge against you for wearing a 25/26 and an XS.

  • I need to hop on the bandwagon and get some jeans.. these yoga pants, leggins and over-sized sweaters can only go so far... so I'm guessing it's over to motherhood maternity I'll be venturing. Although my lazy ass would much rather just order them from home... then again I need to be sure they fit. oh the struggle!
  • I'm in some old navy ones now and they are pretty good. Can't really complain for the price!

  • I love Gap maternity skinnies, but I've been happy with my maternity ones from Motherhood I recently bought. I agree with @groxb the Gap ones get saggy, the motherhood ones don't, which surprises me since I loved Gap's with my daughter's pregnancy.

  • I got a pair at Target today that I really like. They were around $20 with the Cartwheel app. There's a 40% off coupon on maternity bottoms (pants, skirts, shorts) that expires on 3/15.
  • I'm 5' I got a pair in Target (Liz Lange maternity size XS) it was on sale for $17.  I love the fit! The fabric is soft too!

I wear Gap and Old Navy demi panel and love them...full panel fit weird and fell down even when I was 38w last time.

Plus, a full panel over a huge belly, plus a shirt in August = TOO HOT!

  • At 5'11", finding regular jeans can be a challenge in the length (short torso, long legs), so the hunt for maternity jeans has been a bit annoying. I finally found a local Gap w/ a maternity section so I could try on the jeans for waist fit before buying online for length. Really happy with the Always Skinny demi panel and the Sexy Boot demi panel that I tried on. Also scoping out some Joe's Jeans and Paige on eBay.

  • Im 5'3 and bought dark pair at destination maternity by indigo, lived in them first pregnancy, on second and about to buy another pair as they have faded a little.
  • I haven't bought maternity yet, but I normally get my jeans at ON and I always buy the short to wear with flats and the regular to wear with heals.  I'm 5'3'.

I don't have jean recommendations but just wanted to say I am jealous of all if you that need short length and can just hem regular length. I'm 5'10 and always desperate to find long length pants. I've had luck at ON and Gap.
Right there with you, girl! 5'11" here, coupled with a short torso and long legs. I usually have to get the longs at a minimum, the talls if they're offered at ON/Gap.

  • Macys had a bogo half off sale this weekend in maternity. It may still be going on. I got pea in a pod skinny black jeans and I love them and have already worn them 3 times this week. They are pricey but I'll get my money's worth out of them
  • H&M! Inexpensive and they fit great! I thought I was never going to wear them and I practically live in em. Love them more than my non-maternity jeans (never thought I'd say that!)
  • I work for Target and am currently 13 weeks. Like Lannasol said, they have a 40% deal for one pair of maternity jean through an app called cartwheel AND you can also use a $3 off coupon on maternity clothes there! There is supposed to be one pair of skinny jeans with good reviews, so I'll be checking it out this weekend!

  • jmolrjmolr member
Thanks everyone.  I ended up ordering 2 pairs from destination maternity.  I'm going to check out H&M this weekend too

I have the Motherhood Jessica Simpson ones also and I love them! I got the buy one get the second half off deal also and paid about $60 for 2 pair.
  • A Pea in the Pod. Expensive but so worth it. (You can find really good deals sometimes.)
  • I am got some $40 from motherhood maternity and I love them! I am 5"2' and used to having to roll up my pants a bit...so that is what is did with these only rolled me under so you can't tell! Very comfy and they were bogo! They are indigo blue smalls.

my jeans came yesterday.  Here's my feedback:  I ordered one pair of Jessica Simpson skinny jeans and one pair of indigo skinny jeans both in size medium petite.  I'm 5'2 and pre-pregnancy I was about 125 lbs.  The pants are a little baggy in some areas and still a teensy bit long but like a previous poster said I can just roll them under.  Overall for the price I like them and I'm keeping both pairs.  I'm going to try and shrink them a little bit in the wash.  Thank you all for the recommendations.

  • Guys- I just got back from Gap. I scored a pair of the "legging jeans", which are not a legging material at all, but are just an awesome skinny jean, for only $22 after tax. They were on clearance for $29 but then they have some kind of additional clearance going on this weekend. They are a full-panel and oh my GOD they are comfortable! I can't believe I didn't notice how uncomfortable my regular jeans had become. The panel is a little loose but I figure that'll sort itself out here pretty quick.
