DS was born at 41 weeks 4 days. I was in a wedding on my due date and we all had our fingers crossed he would wait until after the wedding was over at least. My doctor dropped the bomb on me at my 40 week appointment that she would be on vacation the next week, so fingers crossed again since I had not seen anybody else in the practice the entire pregnancy. Contractions started that next Sunday, wasn't dilated enough to stay in the hospital, so they had me come back Tuesday night to be induced Wednesday. Thankfully everything happened naturally and there wasn't a need to be induced, but ended up with a c-section after pushing for 3 hours. Hoping DD won't be that far past my due date!
DS was born at 39 wks 6 days all natural almost 17 years ago. DD had to be born by c-section at 34 wks 3 days due to vasa previa. This kiddo will be a repeat section at 38 or 39 weeks if things don't start on their own.
Mom to a 16 year old boy too!!
Me: 36-PCOS DH: 34 All good.
TTC #3 since 2/12. IUI's 1st BFN, 2nd BFP: 9/22/12...M/C 11/6 10wks 1day.....3 more rounds of IUI Feb-April '13 all BFN.
Started taking Femaprin & Milk Thistle Aug '13, then added Metformin Sept '13......Surprise BFP 10/26/13!!!! The first time in 10 years that we got a BFP without infertility treatments!
DD was born at 37w1d. She decided it seemed more fun out in the world, I suppose. Other than some initial problems maintaining her weight and spending a few days on a BiliBed at home due to jaundice, she was fine.
Charlie came at 40 weeks 6 days. Man, those 6 days felt like an eternity.
BTW they estimated his size at over 9 pounds and wanted to induce right away but he ended up being only 8.5 (and I wasn't induced). So keep in mind that those size estimations are only an estimate.
Induced and had him at 41 weeks. He was a huge baby, but I was induced because they didn't want me gong longer. He was definitely ready to come out, my body just wasn't doing what it was supposed to. I had a very easy induction.
I'm just putting it out there... Don't let them scare you into going early because of big baby. You'd be surprised at what your body can handle!
I was induced at 41 weeks. Our little guy was too BIG for me and had no more room. I have been constantly told 2nd children tend to come earlier (I guess I shall see). They wanted to do a c-section with DS but I asked for one more shot before a c-section, gave that sucker all I had, and popped him out of course I was cut :-q
My first was 4 days late and my second was 1 week early. I knew I was in labor so I stopped at fazoli's and ate on the way to the hospital.
My mom always had long labors, so after going to the hospital with baby #3 and being sent home they stopped at McDs for a Big Mac then had to go straight back to the hospital. My sister was born very shortly after their return, we always joke that she just wanted a Big Mac.
Re: Current Momma's. What week did you actually give birth with your other children?

DS was born at 41.5 weeks. I was induced. I had no signs of labor and I was only 1/2 cm dilated at 41.5 weeks. He must have been comfy in there.
I hope this one decides to come on her own and around my due date.
