I'm hoping @Skeemer has something diabolical to make him think he's going crazy.
Do you want to annoy the hell out of him, put him in his place/make him feel like the asshole he is, or something entirely more diabolical/evil but not illegal?
If you have HR I'd go straight there or if you are able go ahead and quit now. I seem to remember you saying you were not going to work outside the home once baby was born. Could you go ahead and make that a reality now?
seriously - i'm not sure about the HR situation there, but I'd be first in line. THROW YOURSELF DOWN THE STAIRS?! WTF?! i'm a REALLY laid back person, and not much offends me, but that's so over the line you can't even pretend it is ok.
other than that, i have nothing to add - i'm always the "think of something really awesome to say later" kind of person. maybe once my brain has processed his douchebaggery...
Check the employee pregnancy harassment laws in your area. I know NJ just passed new laws for pregnant women prohibiting discrimination, that are really in support of women. The things you describe are border line harassment. There are steps to take including documenting the behavior and taking formal in house steps to let your boss know he in being inappropriate and harassing. If your leaving anyway, I say the best revenge is publically holding him and your company accountable to the laws prohibiting harassment towards pregnant women. Good luck.
next time he says something horrific like that - laugh it off and say.. "i'm gonna write all these comments in my baby book! OR MAY BE I'LL JUST FORWARD THEM OVER TO HR" what a real POS.. i am so sorry that you have to endure those comments! i would most likely lose my job because i'd slap the shit out of him. I'm sure it's hard working in an office of all males. I agree with pp, he definitely needs to be held accountable and understand he CAN'T say things like that.
I really really hope HR takes this seriously, that is sooooooo not ok.
The only things I can think of are pretty destructive... if you have a drop ceiling you can put something fishy up under the tiles, or in an air conditioning vent so it sloooowly starts to smell in his office.
If only I could get my hands on the program my friend wrote in college for you. To mess with a friend of ours he wrote a program that would call up full-screen images (that you can designate in a folder, for our friend we used porn) for 1/16th of a second at random intervals. So every so often it would flash up on the screen just long enough to get an idea of what the picture is of (like Fight Club). He thought he was going completely crazy.

I agree. If nothing is done I'd be going to local news media, but be careful of course because of libel/slander. I know you know that because you are smart, but it has to be said.
I would also create a paper trail if I could documenting every single incident.
I know he seems like a really unreasonable guy who is either completely dense or doesn't care, but I can't remember whether you have actually sat down with him yet in a private meeting (does one of you have an office where you can close the door?) to tell him that you find his comments offensive.
Can you schedule a meeting and have HR dial in to the call, and have you express your concerns at that time? You could talk to HR beforehand to see if they think this is a good idea or not.
You still have a few months until you're leaving, so I think it would be a good idea if someone told him that his comments need to stop immediately. Whether that someone is you (with HR on the phone) or HR directly, I think he needs to hear it. He sounds too dense to realize this on his own.
Absolute GENIUS. I am so buying that, maybe a few actually when they come back in stock. Holy crap, that is awesome!
Yeeeah I realized after the fact that they're out of stock Go for an annoy-a-tron as well- I planted one of these in a former boss' office a few years back and he tore shit APART trying to find it.
Honestly? Yes. He's a shitty excuse for a person, saying stuff like that. But I wouldn't stoop to his level. Report him to HR. Make sure you document everything, and make sure they make his life hell. I just wouldn't want to risk making yourself even more miserable for the few short months you have left.

@aliletz totally read my mind! I love these products! The annoy a tron nearly drove my boss totally crazy for a while. He rebooted his computer, he was tearing his office apart & it was totally AMAZING. When he left his office I took the annoy a tron out. Waited a few days & then would return it.
Also another awesome one is to sign him up for everything via email. Military recruiters, Mary Kay, Avon, Tupperware, Premier Jewelry...whatever "contact me" you can think of...sign up his work email & throw his cell number in there too.
Sign him up for mail order catalogs (yes, those still exist) too. It's even better if it's sassy or etc. Like him getting catalogs for Victoria's Secret, Fredricks of Hollywood, & the likes. Wait a couple of weeks & all the catalogs will start filtering in to work. With his name on it. He's going bald? I'm sure you can find some toupee/wig catalogs to make their way to him.
Seriously ten minutes with this link & the fun will never end. He'll be getting stupid catalogs until the day he dies.
These stink bombs are nasty. They don't last all day but will give you a nice half hour of him grossing out. For best results break it on a smooth service (such as the corner of a tile floor office) because the smell will linger longer.
Good call @Skeemer, signing people up for annoying mail is fun. Tempurpedic is particularly annoying. Also (sorry to any religious folk) send the Mormons and Jehovahs to his door to hand-deliver a Bible!

I'm adding Tempurpedic to my personal arsenal list now.
Car lots also have email forms so they can contact you about your interest in a car.
I love Thinkgeek, have made many purchases from there over the years. I have the annoy-a-tron and it was so much fun back when I was in grad school (I used it so much it stopped working)! I bought the air cannon and gave it to my sister, she uses it to keep her cats off the kitchen table (a spray bottle of water was no longer working) and to annoy her DH from time to time.
@skeemer I am dumbfounded at your expertise in such matters. I freaking love it! Thank you so much for the ideas, the mail thing is kind of hilarious actually.
We got a random advert once from a medical equipment company that sold cushions/pillows etc. to aid disabled people with their sex life and he threw it on my desk and told me to familiarize myself with the items. I am not in sales, I'm the administrator so it was his idea of being funny. Dick.
Lol, happy to help. My supervisor also thinks he is hilarious & is almost always a tool. So from one sickened employee to another... I hope to God you do everything on that list & more.
The first thing that came to mind was put an awesome dent in his car and say I didn't get much sleep last night but found something else to punch....
Though I quickly realized this could ensue legal things you don't want to deal with lol. I guess I just had the instinct to punch-a-size something from his comment.
Anywho, tell HR and get it on the books. Then Bump like hell until the day you can leave that douchebag behind
File a formal complaint with his manager as well as HR. Firing him will be much easier with evidence on file.
I wouldn't do anything at his level (even though it would feel awesome) because HR is much less likely to take your complaint seriously then. Be completely professional and let him look like the asshole he is. He'll do himself in.
I would say it depends on how upset it makes you. Does it piss you off like a big brother could piss you off, or were you absolutely disgusted and offended? I'm asking because it's hard to know how to guide you without knowing your established dynamic. I get the impression you were completely offended, and in that case, I'd file a formal complaint with HR. As an HR rep, I can tell you though that as soon as you take it upon yourself to seek revenge, it really complicates your case. In retaliation, he would be quick to report anything you do---guaranteed. It's not worth it to risk losing any potential payouts when you leave, or a positive reference check when you get back into the workforce at some point, nawmsayin? But the deep down inside part of me wants you to make him The Help's chocolate pie recipe Keep us posted, litera. Edited for wording.
My boss told people when I was pregnant with DS2 that I would call & check on the office & offer help while I was on maternity leave. His world was rocked when I didn't call for the entire leave. I had already offered to work from home one day a week in exchange for comp time & he refused. I'm honestly surprised our office wasn't burned to the ground by the time I got back.
Look up haribo sugar free gummy bears on amazon. Give them to him as a nice "gesture" read the reviews you'll know why it's getting back at him. And make sure you tell him eat a lot!
