I used my doppler 2 nights ago to hear the baby's heartbeat and DS was there and listened in, too. Now, he keeps asking to hear the baby's heartbeat. Last night I told him it was too late it was bedtime and he said "Ok, tomorrow and then sissy can hear it, too." He is being soo sweet about the new baby. I hope it keeps up when he/she arrives.

I'm so close to 2.5k love tits. SO close. And then I'll be there, and there will be no parade or confetti. No nothing, just a little red notification reminder and another badge in my profile that I'm sure nobody will look at (except me), and then I'll have a long, long way to go before my next one.
And even knowing all this, I'm super excited to finally get there.
@kleMcK I don't think you get a badge for 2.5k love tits.
Stop.
Dammit bump! This is all I've been working toward! WTF, I can't be gold anymore and I'm not going to get badges for all my love tits! I HATE this place ::tantrum and storms out::
@ghostof5letters I totally just searched for the SOA thread so I could tell the OP that I've watched a few more episodes and I'm now to episode 9 of season 1 and starting to enjoy it. Well it opened straight to your post of "Opie was my favorite and until he DIED!" Ahhhh!! *Facepalm* I can't believe I opened the thread. LOL I should have known better!
My son was never attached to anything specific (blanket or toy) for the longest. Someone bought him a $35 stuffed giraffe his first Christmas that he had no interest in at the time. Eight months later, he decides that giraffe has to be with him at all times that he has a cup or goes to sleep. A backup "Gibby" is going to cost us $35. FML!
The company that made DD's special dog went out of business and I cannot find another Rufus to save my life. I guard that dog with such care.

I know what you mean @abchittam. My DD became attached to a lovie when she was around 10 months old, it's this (made by Angeldear):
She loves the damn things and we have multiples of them now so that I can have 2 with her in bed (she wants 2 of them when she sleeps - one in each hand, sometimes even over her face as she sleeps), 2 at daycare for naps, and then 2 more so I have clean ones to swap out for laundry purposes. We've started breaking the news to her that she will not be able to take them to school with her come September, they have to stay at home.
But, on the cute side she has seen them at the store and wants us to get the giraffe ones for baby brother.
DS isn't attached to anything in particular. I actually find it kind of sad.
I USED to feel that way. I kept trying to make him attach to something because I thought it was cute. Now it's like, "guard that thing with your life unless you want to fork out $35 you don't have." My mom had a scare the other day where she lost Gibby for a little while so she is buying a back up to keep at her house. I just know the day is coming that it happens here.

I'm sorry you can't find another Rufus! have you tried eBay? If you will tell me what it's called, I will be happy to help search! I would hate to be in that boat.
Every time I eat something it always manages to fall on/in my cleavage. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Especially if it's in a semi-liquid form. Banana pudding? Yep. Ranches dressing with carrot sticks? You know it. A spoonful of cereal? Mm hmm. I'm such a klutz
While driving a few days ago, I dropped almost the entire contents of a corned beef reuben with sauerkraut into my cleavage and on the belly. Don't you know, I had my BF hold the wheel while I fished it all out and stuffed it into my face.
(I don't usually do crazy messy while driving, it was a hellish day of running around, and this was a case where the baby made me do it). ;-)

Anyone replace an air conditioner in their home? My husband has gotten the brilliant idea we need a new one for the babies :-S
My DH does that stuff... he put one in my car... and now the damn thing keeps freezing me to death. He views this as "success". I'm so glad we bought out house with central air and am afraid what will happen if/when it fails. Our house will be an ice box... not joking.

I'm am totally going to do a big fancy SS AW post about my baby's sex after my sex scan. And Yes, it is a sex scan, they don't do anything as sophisticated as an actual A/S at my doctor's office. You only get a 20 week ultrasound if you want to find out the babies sex. So there! And I don't even care if my AW post gets turned into a GIF party. I deserve a GIF party for having to wait until March 10th. :-)
I was just using the copier at work and I felt the baby move for the first time! For once I'm positive it wasn't gas! Sorry, I'm super pumped and had to share somewhere.
I WAS JUST COMING HERE TO WRITE THE SAME THING!!! So exciting! I'm on my break, with my feet up and I can feel her rolling around in there! It's so bizarre...and I have to go back in 2 minutes
Also...found out I have an anterior placenta and I'm so annoyed that in addition to my late a/s, now I'm going to have to wait...indefinitely? ...to feel anything. ::pouting again::

I'm going to tey really hard to not let LO get so attached to any one thing. It seems like a tantrum waiting to happen.
It really is. My DS was attached to his pacifier until he was two. Not only was it bad for his teeth but, he took it everywhere and I just knew it was germy. I took it away one day and he lost his mind. It took a while for him to end the attachment but I'll never forget how long my baby stood over the trash can looking at his "paci" that had to go bye bye. It was depressing. For both of us.
So, I have a student who's been interning for me since September. She's a great kid and we have a good business relationship as I like to have with all my employees. The other day, I was in a bit of a slump because it was just a hectic day. At the end of the day, she and another employee of mine were helping me close up. The intern then very politely asked if I was ok because she noticed I had a hard day. Keep in mind, it was the end of the day and everyone else had gone. So, I thought it very sweet of her to ask and she also just happens to be a very caring person. However, today, apparently the other employee approached her at some point and told her it was disrespectful to ask me or any supervisor that kind of question. I found out because she came and apologized to me for saying it.
I'm a little insulted that my employee thinks I would feel disrespected by that. I could understand if she asked in the middle of a meeting with a client or some other important time but, it was the end of the day and we were leaving. Maybe I'm wrong but is that a disrespectful thing to say to a supervisor? Especially if there are no problems between you and the supervisor? I don't see that being more than a caring question.

I certainly hope it's not disrespectful. I have never heard of that. Like you mentioned, if she had stood up in the middle of a meeting and called attention to you it would have been one thing.
I ask my supervisor (and she asks me) if everything's ok if something seems off. I would think it would be a sign of someone being observant and caring.

I thought so. I guess I was shocked to know that that might be a thing elsewhere hm.
Can I slap my husband? He has been bitching all evening about his glasses that broke. Why on earth did he think they would be a good toy for our 1.5 year old to play with?! I feel no sympathy. Now he's being stupid about buying a new pair. He was told back at his eye appointment during the summer that insurance would cover a pair of glasses after September. We are past that, go get a pair and stop asking me which places take our insurance. You already know that. Just put your contact lenses in and shut up.
Plus DS wouldn't eat his dinner after I came home from work and actually cooked something and my cat has been nonstop meowing for no reason. I just want to eat a big bowl of Froot Loops and go to bed.

I don't see why that's inappropriate or disrespectful at all. It sounds like your intern is a nice person who cares about others. How terrible!
Today I caved and had a cold cut sub from Subway. (Was avoiding cold lunch meats prior to this.) It was so freaking good.
Yesterday, I had a fabulous auto-correct moment: I tried to text my hubby "I think I'm getting sick with a cold," but instead my phone said "I think I'm getting sick with a child." Yes phone, yes I am.
I have another AW...remember that position I applied for and got rejected? Well, the manager's boss liked me so much she referred me to another branch for the same position and they hired me!!! Yay! It's only like a dollar raise, but that will help when I have to go on STD and only make 65% of my pay!! Yay yay yay. It's been a weird year. I can't wait to tell them I'm KO :-P

I have not looked on eBay! The company is Melissa and Doug's stuffed toy division that went defunct. It was a careless sweet just because gift from the father of our Godson. He saw it one day and thought Evie had to have it. She fell in love and its her thing!
