  • I am so full of gas from the AMAZING creamed spinach I had as part of my dinner, I legit thought I was having a contraction (maybe I was as a result...? It felt like gas pain+BH, so maybe).

Anyway, the problem is I'm still at work! And the only way to get gas out of me during this pregnancy is by bending over with my elbows on a table and swaying my ass back and forth. Real professional.

A girl's gotta get some relief though, so I closed the blinds to our telephone room, leaned over and let 'er rip...
Is it weird that I'm going to try your method now? Lol. Pregnancy gas is brutal.
I don't know.. I have gas right now and would rather have pregnancy gas..
I was just thinking the same thing...

  • @kirotea yay for mat leave! I'm guessing you'll have your squishy before I do! But enjoy your mat leave!
(DH says baby must stay put for at least 4 more sleeps... He's on night shift)

haha my H doesn't want to go to the office anymore so he's all for baby arriving any time now. He must have asked me like 10 times this morning if I was sure he shouldn't stay home with me today :P

He doesn't want to go in either! He keeps checking multiple times that I'm ok before he leaves. He just doesn't want to be at work when things start going because he literally can not leave until someone comes in to cover for him... It even gives me anxiety

I think it's cute DH is surprised his mom is NOT being helpful during her visit to 'help us out with the twins'. Naive, but cute.

He asked her last night how she wanted to help, and her response was 'whatever lets me cuddle babies or Declan'. Yup. She's that visitor. Can't wait for her visit to end, at least she's staying in a hotel.

    Wow that's annoying.

Does anyone have any song recommendations about father/daughter relationships? I want to put together a CD for my husband and give it to him the first time he leaves the hospital to run home for something. So far I have

    • Tim McGraw- My Little Girl
    • Carrie Underwood- All-American Girl
    •  Kenny Chesney- There Goes My Life
    • Heartland- I Loved Her First
I never know the names of songs or artists for anything so I can't help you out, but this is an awesome idea :)
  • WHY IS IT ALWAYS SNOWING WHEN I TAKE MY KIDS HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL?!?!!????

FFS. If they would let me drive I would totes not care.. But DH is driving.

This is why I fully believe a jinx is a real thing lol

I don't have any other ideas, but maybe try looking online for lists of father-daughter wedding dance songs?

  • I hate our vacuum. If I am going to do more than a small room then I feel like I need to put ear plugs in. And so that makes me never want to do a really thorough house cleaning. After looking at Consumer Reports and seeing some of the recommended ones are less than $150, I'm going to beg DH to let us buy a new one...

  • I'm gonna bitch slap DH. We aren't even home and he already made a comment about my weight indirectly.

It went something like this: "now that we are done having kids for the next few years we both need to get back in shape. I think you should be able to run 5 miles again by the time you're 30"

    *stabstabstabstabstabstabstabstabstabstabstabstabstabstabstabstabstabstabstabstab*

Oh man sorry ;( If my dh says anything to me... He will experience death for sure!!!
Did you have a good comeback?!?
"Man just said to wife whom gave birth less than 48 hours ago 'you need to loose weight' how does man think he is going to survive this"

DH reply: oh shit, I did not mean to say that like that.

(It was in the grander conversation about how we used to go running in college together and about my sisters weight and family medical issues)

    Insert throat punch_______ (here)

Yup, my feet too. They look like fake feet.
This is just 'the process' we go through pp, right? Do they give you a diuretic in the hospital or to take when you go home to help pull the excess fluid off?

I just tried to eat dinner while nursing....and fail. Owen is now wearing part of my dinner. Sorry little man!

I ate pancakes over my daughter in my hospital bed this morning. Definitely got syrup in her hair.

Some time during our first week home, DH was holding the baby while I pumped and he was heating up a bottle for him. While he waited for the water to get warm he picked up the remainder of a sub I hadn't finished and dropped mayonnaise on the baby's forehead. He came back to the bedroom and said "I almost just kicked our baby" he caught himself before tongue hit skin though lmao
