So sorry to hear this! Losing pets is one of the hardest things.

LO kicked the flippin' shizz out of me tonight!. I was sitting in my night class and two separate times it was soo hard I wanted to cringe and make some type of sound that reflected the discomfort, pain, and confusion I felt. Holy cow! Can they really do that at 20 weeks?!? I don't remember DS ever getting me that bad this early, and he was a rib puncher!

just wondering but for everyone who has found out the sex of the baby how many of you had mothers intuition or a gut feeling about the sex of the baby and was right?

mrscurlygurl My Dh hates brussel sprouts/ any type of vegetable besides corn and i have been able to make them so he will eat them. clean them and cut them put them in a frying pan with bacon and butter lots of butter and keep cooking them till they are done. if you want boil them a little so it doesn't take as long to fry. But in the end you taste more the bacon then brussel sprouts or i make my cheese sauce for other vegetables so he will eat them.

Yeah, I suppose bacon could make them better. But I don't see the point in that for us because they'd no longer be a healthy veggie that way when I (and DH) like almost all other veggies. I see the point for someone like your DH though. I'm also a little traumatized from childhood and being made to eat a few whenever my mom would make them. My sister and I would hold our noses and choke them down. I think she might be able to eat them now, but I still say NO!

My cousin sent me a link on FB about a 10-year-old boy dying from rat scratch fever that he contracted from a pet rat they got from Petco, because the article also mentioned that is was typically not fatal and only dangerous to the immunocompromised and the very young. While I appreciate the concern, now I'm just waiting for all the people who say I'm an awful mother because I won't get rid of my four rats. They've been treated with antibiotics for another common rattie condition, I was given the specific ok to continue handling them by my OB, and its not like I'm going to let them crawl all over Sprout once he's here.

Last night I brought all the recycles and trash to the curb, made dinner (chicken burgers & tater tots w/ side salads) then made some red velvet cupcakes w/ whipped cream cheese frosting. For the first time since being pregnant, I realized I can totally be a working mom. It was a great feeling

Theres this peanut butter company that makes all kindss one for exampl is chocolate chip pb they don't have it in any stores where I live so I actually order it online haha guilty pleasure! So worth it yum

My son was never attached to anything specific (blanket or toy) for the longest. Someone bought him a $35 stuffed giraffe his first Christmas that he had no interest in at the time. Eight months later, he decides that giraffe has to be with him at all times that he has a cup or goes to sleep. A backup "Gibby" is going to cost us $35. FML!

I watched episode 24 of House of Cards last night, and I found myself shouting "no, please stop" at the television during a particular intimate scene (I don't want to spoil the details for those who may watch). I didn't realize what a prude I am! I usually have no trouble with watching alternative types of sex scenes and scenarios, but there was a creepiness factor here from a couple of the characters that just made this not okay with me.
