Anyone pick names yet?

I've been spending more time on the name board than this one haha. I'm 10 weeks. Many people would say I have plenty of time; but golly I've been thinking about names of future kids since my first was born almost 3 years ago! I could have a lifetime to pick a name and probably still not be 100% sure. Anyone else the same? It's hard to name a human y'all! They have that name for LIFE!
So- has anyone picked yet? What is it?

So far I'm tossing around Ezra and Canaan for boy, and Liv Emaline for a girl. I could see myself ending up with something completely different by the time September gets here though.

We haven't decided on anything yet. Currently strongly considering Eleanor Anne for a girl and Patrick James for a boy. We also like Owen, Simon, and Daniel, but can't really agree on any other girl names.

Calm down. I was letting you know there's another thread that's been going since this bmb started that has names in it. Sorry for trying to help you out.

Along with the other post... and not trying to be snarky or mean, just guiding you in an awesome direction.. but there is also a Baby Names board. Full of all sorts of baby names!!!

I'm sorry. I know I overreacted. Must be the hormones; I literally was about to tear up when I saw your response lol. I didn't pick up on the helpful tone of it. I know text can be hard to pick up on the intentions behind words sometimes. Thanks for pointing out that people have listed their names; although I have no idea how to find it if I already flipped back 5 pages and saw nothing (I'm on a phone so it might make it harder?) Anyway, just wanted to make some friendly discussion about names; sorry I helped turn it in a sour direction.

SO and I haven't really talked names other than me throwing some out there when I come across one I like. I like the names Nico, Demetrius, and Ezra for a boy or Anastasia, Aurora, and Luna for a girl. However 50 shades of grey has made Anastasia a no-go because SO doesn't like the thought of a popular smut book having the same name as his daughter. (i get where hes coming from but damn it i like the name lol)

Owen Michael for a boy.
We're undecided for a girl. We both like Gabriella, but I'm worried about it being too matchy with Isabella. I like Caroline, but DH isn't convinced. I also like Eleanor (Ellie) and Allison, but DH isn't sold on those either.

We picked our names out over 10 years ago, but only one girl and one boy. So now we have our boy name ready and no clue on a girl name. Especially one that pairs well with Caroline!

We are pretty set on John for a boy. Middle name is up for debate - husband likes Sawyer. I like it too, but also like Reid, Benjamin, Penn or Camden.

Girls names have flopped around a bit. I liked Piper until I realized that is the woman from Orange is the New Black (read the book, haven't seen the show). I didn't care for her, so that dinged it out. Now, we like Marina (Marnie) Helene.

@coffee bean, I love the name Marina! Dh'a cousin names her kid Marina and I'm so envious of it. We're pretty close with her, so we can't use it. Lol

Picking out middle names, I always say I need to try and yell the name like the kid is in trouble to see if it works. When I did that with 'John Penn' it sounded like I was saying 'Sean Penn' with an accent. Lol

I love the name Lucas but my husband says "it sounds too biblical"???? Weird, but I lost the battle with DS and if this one ends up bring a boy I'm going to continue to put up a fight for it!

he likes Braden... Robert will more than likely be the boy middle name since almost every male in both of our families has the name Robert as either first or middle name. If it's a girl he likes Reagan and I can't come up with any that I like but I like Nicole for a middle name because it seems to go with everything! You aren't kidding when you say it's hard to name a human!

We always say we won't seriously talk about names until we have the a/s and know if we're having a boy or girl.. but over the past weekend we started talking more about it and pretty much decided on a name for both a boy and a girl. It feels way early, but we'll see! It's kind of funny to me that we seem to have names picked out already!

I have some in my head but I'm kind of nervous to broach the subject with hubby because he gave me such a hard time about baby #1. He had 9834083480380 reasons to shoot down the names I picked but never came up with ideas of his own. I'm tired and hormonal and if he pulls that crap again there's a good chance he'll get kicked in the nuts.

That's my real name - Anastasia. If it's any consolation, only one person has ever made the coorelation between my name and the book...

I would have never thought of that. I love the name Lucy but I probably wouldn't use it since all the women in my family are "I Love Lucy" fans and all I would picture saying to this kid is (in an accent) "Luuuucy, I'm hoooome!"

DH and I won't have a make-our-mind-up discussion about it until we know the sex.

But right now I'm thinking Bo for a boy. I don't know a middle name yet. It's hard with one syllable names.

And I like the name Sadie Belle for a girl. DH doesn't like the name Sadie, because apparently it's in some rap song, but I don't really care. He got the final say on DS1 (Gunner), and he told me I could have the final say on this one.

MH and I have been going back and forth on names here and there for the past couple of weeks.

For a boy we are nearly certian it will be Cooper. Cooper Jack (my husband is Jack), or Cooper Graham, or Cooper Henry.

For girls we are more in a tough spot. He really likes Scarlett, but I can take it or leave it. I loved Harper, but he didnt like it. We both like Piper so it might be Piper.

@cbear2010 - I so love that you are using Vera! No one uses that name anymore and it is so beautiful and very underrated!

DH and I toss names around, but we keep coming back to the same few for a girl and the same name over and over for a boy (because DH will NOT let it GO.)

For a boy DH is obsessed with Henry for a boy. No matter what I suggest, he keeps going back to Henry. We know that if it's a boy the middle name will be John-Bertrand after our grandfathers.

For a girl we like the idea of naming after our maternal grandmothers: Alma and Frances, but not sure what names would go where. However, I keep coming back to the name Rosemary after my aunt who passed away a long time ago. Anytime I try to think of another name for a girl, Rosemary keeps popping back up. So I have NO idea what we are going to do for a girl.

I did this same thing! DH wanted to have the middle name for a boy to be Roy (family name) so I told him we had to pick a first name that sounded good when I had to yell it out. lol

Our sons name is Matthew Ryan Jr. It was no thought that's what it would be of we had a boy. We could never think of a girl name.

This time around we are really liking Makaylee (still unsure of spelling ) for a girl. The middle name would be Nichole (my middle) or Jane which is dh moms name and his grandmas middle name. My mom will be upset if we go with Jane because she is the jealous type.

For a boy we liked Jaxon but then you ladies got me to hate that spelling so it would just be Jackson Cory (Cory is dh still born brothers name). I thought we liked Michael Cory as well but apparently dh doesn't like the name Michael. Funny because we talked about that name for years lol. As much as I love Jackson I'm not set on it. I think dh is. We just knew with Ds and so I feel like that's how we should be this time around... But maybe we won't be.

I keep going back and forth between Bennett and Benjamin...but I also love Henry and my DH likes Owen. My favorite is Ezra but he just plain doesn't like the name so it's out Middle name will be Scott for sure.
We agree on all the girl names, it's just a matter of picking a favorite...so far it's Clara, Rosalee, Natalee, Olivia, or Lydia. The middle name for a girl is going to be harder than the first name...

I can't wait to know the sex so I can cut this baby name list in half! :P

For a girl we like Emiline Joyce..can't decide between Emmeline or Emiline though..Joyce is my grandmothers middle name. For a boy it is Jackson Frederick. I've had Jackson picked out for ages and Frederick is DH middle name and his grandfathers name. Plus then DH and our son would have the same initials.
