This morning I ran the Chinatown Firecracker 5K in Los Angeles. I look forward to it every year. My finishing time is nothing to brag about. It was just great to get back out there running 2 weeks postpartum. It's been a long time since I exercised since dr put me on pelvic rest during pregnancy. Running felt great! I'm happy to say that I lost a lot of the 45 lbs gained and I feel like my old self already. I don't remember bouncing back this fast after giving birth to my 17 month old. I'm thrilled! I ran the race with my husband wearing a horse mask. So hilarious! It's the year of the horse. Thanks for letting me AW.
Re: AW: Ran a 5K today!
It's much, much smarter and much, much healthier to wait to work out.
Once you're cleared at 6 or 8 weeks you can start moving more and that first 5k will feel amazing. Promise. For now, listen to your body and heal and know you're doing the right thing.
This post is bullshit or maybe I should say horseshit.
I think I'd side eye almost anyone who only has 100 more replies than discussions started. Clearly it's all about you, not the community.
Better safe than sorry.
ETA: Overdoing it = lifting/chasing a toddler around the house. Definitely not running or exercising yet.

FYI if you start bleeding blood clots the size of your head, which I can only assume is bound to happen, because who the fuck does a 5k 2 weeks out I wouldn't ask F14' what to do
OP is ridiculous. Grab two boxes of pads and some iron supplements for what's about to happen tomorrow. Good luck.
On a serious note, I didn't put 45 on, so losing most isn't that dramatic....and strongly suspect the last few's gonna be a bitch to lose! OP must've been in training in the L&D ward I reckon
To answer some Qs: I'm a STM, 36 yrs old, and had a baby boy 6 lbs 9 oz two weeks ago. My due date was actually tomorrow 2/24. I gained 45 lbs during this pregnancy, started at 115 and topped off at 160 lbs. I now weigh about 130 lbs. I was really underweight at the start of the pregnancy, so I only want to loose about 10 more lbs.
I think I bounced back so fast because I did not tear or need any stitches from the birth. Baby wasn't that big, so delivery wasn't bad. I'm not bleeding anymore. I feel great down there. I wouldn't have run the 5K today if I wasn't feeling well. I took it easy and ran some and walked some today.
I realize weight issues are too much for this board so I'll get off my high horse. I apologize.
We really don't give a shit about how much you used to weigh, currently weigh, or will weigh in the future.
Take your easy delivery, your 5k ridiculousness, and your horse head husband and get a grip.
If not, you're just a really insecure woman who validates herself by e-bragging about her 'accomplishments' online. If that's the case, congratulations on the 5k and weight loss! You are truly winning at this competition the rest of us naively call life.
Because, sad.

She's not smart enough to realize that it's a bad idea to respond with a weight post once she's been told weight posts aren't appreciated.
She's also not smart enough to listen to doctor's orders or common sense and realize that running during the healing process or so far so soon after long term bed rest is a dumb thing to do that risks long term harm.
OP, no one gives a shit what you weigh. At all. I don't care if you were underweight or overweight before. I don't care if you've lost all your weight or none. As you've been told repeatedly on the bump, no one but you cares so much about pounds.
And it's not me being sensitive. Sometime in the next week and a half I'm going to lose a lot of weight really quickly. But I'm not going to run a 5K two weeks later. I care more about my long term health and fitness than immediate weight loss.
Dead. Fucking dead. I love you.

And pregnant+bored thought that was pretty comical.
