Two middle names or just the one? Which one sounds better? Sayli pornounced "Say-Lee" Michaella pronounced "Ma'Kayla" Gracelynn pronounced as one name not two. Thanks!

Whooopss! Haha "a" before "e" in Michaella:)

Michaela makes me think of Michele-a or Mich-Ella.

Personally I don't like the spellings. I get everyone wants to be "unique" but some day your kid is going to be an adult. Nobody is going to want to hire a lawyer named Hashtag. A stripper sure. But "unique" names have a limit.
  • are these names from family members mixed or something? quite unique, I'd say sayli Graceland because mechael looks like michaelangelo to me. this is a girls name right?

It's Gracelynn, not land. Michaella and Michealangelo are two different names. One is for a girl and the other for a boy. Michaella can be spelled many different ways. The most common is Ma'Kayla. I prefer the way I spelled it initially. Thanks for your vote.

Remember with these spellings that your child has at least 18 years of teachers not being able to pronounce it followed by a career of having to explain to people it isn't pronounced how they think.

I don't like any of them. I'm all for "unique" names, but this one crosses the line in my book and into the idea of made up sounding book character.
My name isn't hard to pronounce and it is also a very common name(Brittney), yet I will spend all my life correcting people on how to spell it. So as far as Sayli being pronounced correctly I think she will do just fine in handling that. Thanks.

I'm not sure where you came up with the name "Hashtag" for it is not one of the options listed as a possible name of my choosing. Therefore your analogy seems to be lacking in content.

I can't pick.  There are no good options there.  Generally I'm anti-two middle names though.

But seriously if you can't spell it right yourself for the poll, maybe it's not one you should use....
I corrected the spelling. Everyone has a typo every now and then. That's not uncommon.

    Somebody isn't being honest here...
  • I'm sorry, but if I were you I'd be revisiting the name boards.
  • Dislike all of them. Sorry. Give her a real name and call her Sayli as a nn if you must. But give her a legitimate name to fall back on. What about Selah, Sari, Saoirse, Sadie?

  • Here is a piece of advice. Don't ask for opinions on names. They're very personal and there are thousands of opinions out there.
For what it's worth, Sayli doesn't sound made up to me. Name your child whatever you want.

  • "Sadie" is a real name. "Saylie" is not. Please don't name your poor kid any of those names.
  • I didn't like any of the options.

  • How about Hailey Grace?
  • I agree, Michaela is a real name. A nice one. As long as it's not spelled M'Khayiiluh or something equally as asinine.

This. People aren't telling you what you want to hear, which is a part of life. Don't ask for advice about something that you really don't want advice on.

Personally, I like the names you have. I don't worry about choosing names that won't get made fun of, or that people won't spell correctly, because I had people make fun of my very regular name (Amanda - A man... duh!) and constantly have people call me Amber, or Ashley, or some other regular name because they can't seem to remember the very simple "Amanda".

I have a very "out there" girl name in mind... but I've refused to share it because I don't give a shit what other people think about it and don't want opinions on something that my husband and I have already decided upon. You basically asked for the backlash that you're getting... sorry.
  • They are nothing I would pick out....but on the up side I did have a dog named saylee one time when I was child.  She had her name before I got her, but that is the only time I ever heard any name like that. Good luck on picking a name.

  • Why not give your child a name they can find on name labels and know how to spell and pronounce it without a fricking guide? God, I hate names like this. Also, Sayli isn't the name of a grown woman and will present unique challenges for her. Give her a name that carries from childhood to adulthood. Grace Lynn would be nice if it wasn't run together into one word.
  • Sayli is a cute name, but other posters are right,  it doesn't sound like the name of an adult. Although if you go with Michaela for a middle name she always has the option of going by that as her first name
